I apologize for this delayed response and the inconvenience the canceled orders are causing @qbisthe1. All of our items do have a disclaimer regarding FlexPays. FlexPay orders may be subject to credit verification by HSN and we may review the credit report. You can find this information by clicking the link with the question mark right above where you select FlexPays on the product page.
I’ve sent an electronic request to your financial institution regarding the authorization on your account. The time frame as to when the funds will become available is dependent upon their release of funds process.
Unfortunately HSN won’t admit that, especially if your 1st purchase with HSN is for a big ticket item,i.e laptop, TV, game system, etc, and you want to use flex play, you have a higher rate of being denied since you haven’t provided “proof”, that you can afford ALL the flex payments. Not just the 1st one.
HSN likes payment history,before you use flex pay. Unfortunately what HSN doesn’t realize is that especially at Christmas, they will be getting more traffic from new customers looking for a specific item, and to spread the money around for the holiday season, most likely would like to take advantage of flex pay.
Posted in Forum: Customer ServiceI orderd a product from HSN and wanted to use the Flexpay option. They charged my card and I thought everything was ok. An hour later they send me an email saying my order was cancelled, of course im puzzled because I didnt cancel it and they authorized a payment. When I called to find out what happend,they couldnt give me a reason as to why just an apology and saying ill get a letter in the mail stating as to why. Heres my issue with this.
1. Whats the criteria for using the flexpay? as no credit check or any type of financial approval was asked prior to using it.
2. Why take a patrons money (aka authorize)if theres a chance you will deny the purchase? and if your answer is “we dont know if the flexpay option will be approved or not than it needs to be removed so you (HSN) have better control over how you want your customers to pay for their purchases, now you have my money going through the “pending to release stage”, which has been almost a week and im still waiting.
3. If you’ve authorized a payment that should be counted as the consumer has the funds to pay on the item as contractionally agreed.

So the FAQ I quoted and linked to that was deleted for no reason, is nothing more than a misleading lie? It does state, “Even if you simply want a different size or color, you can exchange an item online or by calling us,
- at no additional cost
within 30 days of the package being delivered.”. But because there is no restocking fee this is considered accurate even though there IS an additional cost for shipping back the item being exchanged.
I cannot believe with the customer base that HSN has that they not only have policies they do not disclose at all, such as the one exchange policy, but that the policies they do disclose are half truth at best. That is a terrible way to do business, but an even worse way to treat trusting customers.

Posted in Forum: Customer ServiceSince when does HSN charge the return shipping fee for exchanges for size or color, especially if the new item has free shipping????? I have always dealt with agents who waived the fee on exchanges and today had a not too friendly agent who told me this was NOT the case. Who in their right mind would not just return the item and skip the exchange part if not completely satisfied? Most unpleasant conversation I ever had with customer service.
Hi selma93. Usually, if you cancel the item the same day you entered an order, there is no refund since they haven’t started to process it yet. At least that is way the old HSN used to work. Your best bet would be to repost this question with the Mods under Customer Service which is just before “Talk Among Yourselves”in Community. They should be able to answer you the same day you post on their thread.
It seems that HSN is receiving too many questions or they layed off a bunch of employees prior to the Holiday rush period. I had the same problem a week ago when I could not get through and it took quite a few hours for them to call back. The answer I received didn’t seem to be correct so I posed the question to the Mods. I hope you do the same. The Mods have been around for awhile and you should have an answer. Good luck.
I think HSN is well on the way to the bad shipping practices just like QVC. I must throughly disagree with the customer who said QVC ships your order quickly- my experience is that it often sits in a holding pattern for days before being handled and then they use USPS who are slow beyond belief. HSN mostly uses or used UPS which is a quick delivery. I’m noticing now that HSN is not a fast as they used to be. I can only believe that the QVC way is taking over. It’s pretty good because I no longer purchase as much as I used to.
This just happened to me! I was denied 2 out of 3 orders! Flex pay was for $20 for nintendo switch controllers, $183.33 for Macbook, and $95 for Apple Watch! They approved the controllers but denied/cancelled the other 2! I took a screen shot of this and opened by bank account and sure enough there is a HSN Pending Transaction for $31.86, $129.24, and $249.34! Thats $410.44 that I don’t have! Its 12/11/2019 almost Christmas time, and now im out all of that to buy family Christmas Gifts! This needs to be fixed! I’m not getting these items and I’m getting charged!?!? Now what am I going to do for my family’s christmas?! Im posting this for a 3rd time in another section because this needs to be addressed. I understand this happens but please help. Unfortunately on my end im in a very tight time crunch with this.

Posted in Forum: Customer ServiceI recently placed an order with HSN only to have my order cancelled (twice) stating that I cancelled one of them…which I DID NOT! My original order was placed but I never received any shipping notification of any kind. After 10 days of waiting, I called customer service only to be told that the item was sold out and would not be shipped out. Very bad communication from HSN. I will NEVER RECOMMEND HSN TO ANYONE!

If you’re only sending me 1 of my Items, what gives you the right to charge me for all three items? Please remove the temporary hold on my bank account ASAP. I need the funds to buy the things you cancelled.
