I’m sorry that you’ve been through so much with us, @bobbigirl3. Rest assured, our FlexPay option is set up through HSN directly. We do not use a 3rd party source for this option which allows us to offer FlexPay with no interest or fees. It sounds like this might have been an HSN Credit card charge. If so, they are handled by our partners at Synchrony Bank. You can reach them out 844-889-9676 for additional information. If you would like us to look into this further, we would be happy to review the order with you by providing us with your Order Number at HSNSocialCare@hsn.com.

Synchrony will also arbitrarily close your accounts. I’ve been a HSN customer for over 15 years; just got a card within the last three years. I’ve always paid my balance down or sent more than minimum payment on time. Because of an unexpected kitchen replacement, I used more credit than usual but continued on time payments. My account was closed for among other reasons
“Lack Of Real Estate Secured Loan Information”. No one at Synchrony or the credit union can explain what that means. How do you close an account but can’t explain why?
Synchrony is not a good financial partner for HSN. They charge exorbitant interest rates, do not consider past/current payment history or have knowledgeable customer service reps. I’ve moved any remaining flex pays to another card and don’t plan to place another HSN/QVC order. Be very wary of Synchrony – they also service other retailers like Lowe’s and Mattress Firm.

This may have something to do with Synchrony Bank. I’ve been a good HSN card holder for at least three years, 100% on time payment history, multiple double minimum payments made, have paid off card once, etc. On 12/17 I received an email advising my credit limit has been lowered leaving me with $45 during Christmas. The biggest issue is that lowering the credit limit also lowers my credit score.
Synchrony Bank is generating lots of complaints about treating loyal customers this way. It’s not illegal but it’s smarmy. I’m only one person, but I won’t be ordering from HSN or QVC anymore after more than 15 years. HSN/QVC have partnered with Synchrony and a company is judged by its choice of partners.
Merry Christmas and I hope you all get your money back in time to have the holiday you want.

Gaack.! When I finally checked on the Synchrony B ank interest rates I was mortified. I know The Feds set rates, banks comply, companies’ contract with banks , and voila, the consumer gets stuck. Now, to beat them at their own game, I do balance transfers to cards offering 0% interest for 12-18- months and find it’s worth the 3-4-5% fee to make those transfers. IYou can save gobs of money with a balance transfer if you purchase items on the HSN or QVC credit cards. The rates are obnoxious. and insulting. Especially when hosts have to encourage customers to apply for the cards and make us feel like it’s a good thing. Extra easy pays, for example.
I don’t get out to shop at local stores, and unfortunately am a sucker for a good product , so I am guilty of shopping online… probably too much.

Any card with issued with Synchrony Bank seems to have a very high interest rate.I have seven different store cards with Synchrony and the lowest rate is over 25% and I have a very good credit score.Capitol One also has high rates for some reason.I only use one or two cards now that either have a 0% promo rate or very low rate.
Unless you can pay it off monthly in full or doing flex pays the HSN card is way to much at 32.24% [thats what mine is now]. Its not HSN causing this its the bank that issues the card. Many people are not using store cards now due to the insane interest rates on the cards.

Synchrony bank was no help at all. I do not understand how my flexpay with HSN & my HSN card could be over a thousand dollars different. I changed my payment method to my visa. HSN got paid. I know I paid twice for quite a few items. I am not happy. I have been ill. I will have to sit down and start filing disputes. I did pay the card off so I would not have my very good credit ruined.

Since I can’t post a new topic, I will tell you that something is not right with HSN. How I had a zero flex pay balance & my HSN card had me owing around $1500.00 at the same time is beyond me. I have never received a real answer other than the fact if you change your payment method HSN does not notify Synchrony band your HSN cc. Some help would have been nice! I have paid an expensive price for a lesson I won’t forget. I paid because I have a very high credit score. If I didn’t, I would never have paid Synchrony. It’s like no one really looked at it. I will deal with it after Labor Day.

Synchrony bank & HSN has been of no help at all. I don’t understand why in April my flex pays showed zero owed. My HSN credit card had me owing around $1500.00 I paid them & will investigate more myself. It will have to wait until after Labor Day. I am disgusted.

Hi, I am sorry to hear of your experience. If you pay your FlexPay with a Visa, we wouldn’t notify Synchrony Bank because they have nothing to do with a charge to a different credit card for another financial institution. I changed my payment method to my Visa. I have been fighting with my HSN card since May 23rd. They billed both cards! If that’s the way it is why does HSN allow you to change your payment method? They get two payments. I did that with many orders or I may have never noticed it. I am sure it has happened to me in the past. I am really upset. No help from HSN!!!

Hi I am sorry to hear of your experience. If you pay your FlexPay with a Visa, we wouldn’t notify Synchrony Bank because they have nothing to do with a charge to a different credit card for another financial institution. So why does HSN let you change your payment method??? They get paid twice. I filed a dispute on May 23rd & still have not received my money back. My next step is to contact my Visa & dispute all of my flex pay charges that I changed to Visa. There is nothing I have to have from HSN. I can find the same items or very similar elsewhere.

You can send us an email at HSNSocialCare@hsn.com to discuss your concern. If you do send us an email, please provide us with details such as order numbers and what FlexPays you paid with your visa.

That’s really too bad and so frustrating. Good luck and keep at them. HSN should be turned into the Fair Trade Commission but they are too big to make any difference. When you do get it resolved maybe just stop dealing with them all together. I would think your credit card company that you changed to could help you. They are generally very understanding. AND the telephone number for Synchrony, your HSN card customer service is right on the back of your card. Good luck and thanks for your input. We can all help each other.

Thank you to you both. I just checked my order status after closing my account and I see where they doubled the returns for the last craft day that I actually did. Instead of showing 5 returns they double each one and it showed 10 in a row – 2 each with the exact same order number. I had to straighten out a problem with my HSN credit card this month too. They charged me twice for a few things including the interest taken out. Who is minding the show exactly. No wonder I got that letter. It shows 10 returns in a row when there was only 5. You are exactly right: If we don’t watch these things they get off with a lot of money from negligent book keeping. The guy at Synchrony with my HSN card apologized and said to absolutely check my statement every month. It’s not worth it to have to watch everything they do so closely. How are they getting away with this!! Thanks again! I am missing craft day for the first time in a long time but I can’t let them do this anymore.

Hi @nell0185, I am sorry for the concern the change in credit limit caused. We don’t have access to your personal credit card information and would recommend speaking with Synchrony about your HSN Credit Card.

I reported what was going on May 23, 2023. Some orders are in dispute but not all. I did send a complete list to Synchrony HSN credit card. This is a nightmare!!!
