No celebratory bon voyage party?
Just had a bio-film major film out, who could pay for that type of press?
Hmmm. It wasn’t in the plans of Joy, She was sidewiped.
They dropped Her unceremoniously because of the bottom line.
Her mini factory and staff cost Hsn too much after the merger.
She’s a casualty of costs and benefits.
The HSN Guy who bought QVC did so out of pure fear!
AMAZON was going to buy QVC, that’s what was in the pipeline.
And To keep out this scary manmouth out of squashing HSN or QVC and prevent AMAZON get a competing up and running tv shopping market,
HSN GUY bought QVC to save his skin…and kill the competition.JOY MANGANO was HSN and vice versa.
They were a symbiotic brand.
HSN has no new personalities or brands to set themselves apart.
Weick Ming Mangano Iman etc
everyone has apple, hp, etc. and how many orgami steel shelves do you need?
HSN has started its death knoll. In the long term, HSN Guy, is hoping for the next “Next”
we will see,
but lets see if He doesn’t sell out this merged HSNQVC to Amazon
once He streamlines them and makes them more profitable.BC I am sure there will be a AMAZON SHOPPPING NETWORK
as a competitor or as the buyer/owner of newly named HSN-QVC.
BC AMAZON has the bucks and the muscles.Posted in Forum: Clearance, Special & CouponsI have to admit when QVC got involved with HSN I dropped shopping here. I just feel that QVC has been bossy to people on the forums and didnt want to see that happen here too. Probably has but since I am not around I dont know.
Anyway, what have you bought in the past few months that you consider a really good deal that you are happy with? What comes to mind, I’m looking for inspiration, lol.
Posted in Forum: Talk Among YourselvesIf you head over to the Q, there is a banner at the top of the screen that has a news release. Information that I was clueless about and some tribute/ historical videos…really interesting. My beloved Mom was an “early adopter “ of both HSN and QVC (I used to give her such grief and then look where I am now 😁). I could hardly believe they stated broadcasting on November 24, 1986…I know exactly where I was and what I was doing back then; like it was yesterday. I didn’t start my HSN and QVC shopping until my Mom lived with us for 5 years. Mr. Segel really started something.
Posted in Forum: BeautyI had a feeling this was going to happen when HSN stopped restocking the products. Like others said it would have been nice to get a heads up from someone. I sure hope elysee goes on another shopping channel because I can’t afford their website prices (not that their not worth them). Plus I like autoahip!! I don’t want them to go to QVC because their autoahip only lasts st most 2 years so it’s kind of pointless. I’d rather they go to evine. I never want to stop using Elysee so I will follow them wherever they go so long as they stay affordable like on HSN. man,the thought of having to use something else is so disappointing. Once you’ve used the best where do you go from there? I tried skinn’s PEP 40 when I ran out holding out for autoahip to start shipping again and it was horrible. My skin was going downhill. Finally called elysee and ordered from them. So I just dont know what in the world I would use if this is no longer affordable for me.
Posted in Forum: HSN TVWas searching to see when Joy was going to be on and realized her page wasnt coming up. I know things have to change from time to time but I agree with another customer, I think they are throwing the baby out with the bathwater. Ive been shopping with HSN and QVC since the beginning, Im really sad to see some of the changes. A lot of my favorite hosts are gone and the rookies are like mannequins… no personality and they all are all size O. This company has forgotten who their customers are who helped build them.
Posted in Forum: Customer ServiceI just loved the HSN App for tablets and used it nearly all the time to shop and order. The app allowed me to do everything I needed in that format and my tablet screen was much larger than my phone screen, so it was easier to use. I am so disappointed that HSN is no longer supporting this app. Please consider bringing it back. Since it was discontinued, I find myself shopping on Amazon and QVC more because they have tablet apps.
Posted in Forum: Talk Among YourselvesQVC/HSN need to make changes now or find themselves out of business. Price on products and shipping/handling have risen dramatically. This makes easy pay no longer attractive. Takes too long to receive items ordered and tracking is useless since shipping status is not updated on weekends. The hosts are terrible. Some of them talk incessantly about themselves. Others are ridiculous in their characterizations (scrub daddy and extraordinary should never be used in the same sentence). And what’s up with dark haired hosts going blond? Not a good look. I’m over celebrities selling clothes and shoes. How much money do they need!
Posted in Forum: Talk Among YourselvesDimitri James (Skinn Cosmetics) and the Beekman guys left just in time. Following is a snippet of an article that appeared in today’s Star Tribune in Minnesota (ShopHQ hdqtrs): “But the company remains in the grip of a difficult turnaround, as Peterman and Invicta’s Eyal Lalo try to return it to profitability. The retailer is in third place behind QVC and HSN in the home shopping market, and reported a worse-than-expected loss of $21 million, or 31 cents a share, in the first quarter.”
