I read it last month. their six billion dollars in debts. Curate went hiding behind QVC as they now call themselves ‘qvc group. Yes’ curate ran HSN into the ground and I doubt that curate will come through. if they don’t, the court should take custody of HSN and QVC while looking for new buyers for HSN and QVC septet. up state new York here the nevlry hotel and resort was ran into the ground July 3rd 2009 workers showed up for work, found themselves locked out as was closed down by owner. the court took custody of the resort and hotel, the owner got nothing and was side. this should happen to curate.

Well, I hear you all and agree that HSN has changed. I still shop DG2 and Marla, and I did buy a lot of jewelry like turquoise from dealers that have left HSN, and although I do like Chaco Canyon, I preferred the Native Indian lady that came to represent the brand and the actual artisans vs. the lady that now comes.
I never really bought a lot of QVC until recently, since I discovered Le Creuset, Vitamix, Kitchen Aid, Isaac and Dooney (back in the day), Stacey London, Spring Step, and Peace LOve World. I thought that they had a better shoe selection than HSN, and the new denim line (Driftwood) that was once in Sundance magazine (because I shopped Sundance a lot!)
Lastly, the food selling is reidiculous….please reduce that time slot…please also reduce Kim Gravel since her clothes are mostly copied from other designers (nothing original or expensive looking). Has Kim bought the station????

David Rawlinson II is the HEAD OF QUARATE GROUP which owns QVC & HSN the President of QVC Stacey Bowe is the President of QVC & the merchandising USA. I blame the top person which is David Rawlinson II.
I think QVC is going in the wrong direction and HSN has been trying to pull themselves out of a hole, but they just keep making it bigger with all the poor designers they are allowing to sell on HSN.
Instead of HSN finding really good designers not a name only and start demanding all sizes and quality they will continue to go downhill.
I still like HSN and I love their customer service for the most part the majority are all really helpful and pleasant, but they need to have brands that are great not just any brand that is marketed at a cheap price you can find cheap anywhere people are looking for quality at a good price.
Also, they need to start acting more professional and stop treating the customers like they are morons and tell us over and over where we can use their merchandise, how to wear it where to wear it; it is repetitive chaos that is going to drive customers away. Also, don’t tell us we can’t find a better deal because oh yes, we can and we can find quality to boot. I shop all over & there are a lot of stores that have been around forever that are competitive in pricing, and they sell petites regular and tall in 99% of what they sell.

Personally, I would like to see Quarate turn on the “way back machine” and watch how QVC used to do business.
A w I d e array of products with name brand quality merchandise. Quicker programs where hosts gave complete and succinct product info NOT weaving into every product, some inane personal story or dancing, singing, preening and staring at themselves in the monitor. These days QVC practically owns every product they sell. Their ownership has provided a snorefest of boring clothing, cheapened junk and narrowed the variety of things they DON’T own. Several hosts per show is completely unnecessary. Hasbeen celebrity lines slapping their name on clothing as though they are capable of creating a pattern or threading a sewing machine…..
…… lest we forget their constantly throwing the over 50 and menopause in our faces…. ALLLLL OF IT IS UNAPPEALING. go back to the drawing board Quarate before you have no choice but to file for bankruptcy. And don’t hate on us when our reaction is …. I TOLD YOU SO.

I experienced a singing host, but it was on QVC with Kim Gravel. She was on last week with a plus sized African-American host. Sorry, I don’t know her name. Kim was talking about how she had to sing the national anthem, and she didn’t know the words. How embarrassing to admit that. She is very inappropriate. She was talking about how she P’d her pants. All of this while showing her line. I liked it much better when the TV hosts and the vendors were a little more serious. It was fun watching them trying to contain their composure when something funny happened. They didn’t goof around and act like teenagers.

It’s become the Kim Gravel show on QVC (overpriced ) and the second rate offerings with washed up television/movie stars on HSN.Why is Iman and Anthony not at HSN anymore? You have 1 Designer C.Wonder and an ok Giuliana. I still shop but the days of joy is gone…the movie themes and capsule collections are gone. The video playback is now .

QVC Group has not filed anything, yet. No decision as of this post. They are “talking to creditors”. So, we will keep it as they “are considering filing Chapter 11”.
IMO when I started watching Q almost 20 years ago, many (not all!) of their clothes were already dowdy. Same on HSN. I am not sure who was running what at what time, but who is buying “coins”? Is “crafting” paying the corporate debts? Beauty is almost non-existent on HSN, always Nakery-you can find their shows 5 days a week, I think. Even Signature A is hardly on anymore. Seems Lancome is gone and no new shows scheduled. I wonder how long Colleen will still sell on H?? I liked Antthony as a vendor but his designs did not appeal to me personally, but I did appreciate that he knew the woman he was designing for. I did purchase IMAN a lot, the first time around, but not at all when she came back after a couple years. Marla again was not my cup of tea, her design shapes would not work for me, but I liked to watch to see what she would bring in.
Similarly on Q. They lost Isaac Mizrahi, which was the only brand I would purchase on the regular, initially. Then they had to cheapen the 24/7 pants and pima cotton shirts. Similarly to Antthony, he knew his customer. Anyway, I buy things mostly on Q just because that is where I started and I like Belle, but I carefully pick and choose due to pricing rising. Maybe a Denim and Co top here or there, but not often. I also like more of their home decor than H, but that is just a personal preference.
Corporate wastes money for on location broadcasts, like Palm Springs (imo). They waste more money teaming up with the likes of Kathy Hilton and Theresa Caputo, and then the “influencers” they work with for their streaming and TikTok services. The method of buying through TV is old news. They were never really prepared for the use of Apps, streaming, or realizing their pricing is out of line in many cases. All stores have a website now, and if you want something unique I bet you can find it somewhere online.

Posted in Forum: FashionWhoever runs QVC and HSN has run it into the ground. They are in so much debt they need to file Chapter 11 to try to fix it. I used to spend 10’s of thousands of dollars on HSN, now I buy practically nothing. For me it went downhill when Cindy Grossman left as HSN’s CEO. There are no good designers anymore. Marla Wynne is even asking people where they shop retail on Instagram because she must see the end coming. Other than fashion I can find any other products cheaper online or Amazon. I now buy clothes from other designers, the clothes are more expensive but I would rather own something special of excellent quality then the dowdy junk they cell now. Who decided mature woman want to wear dowdy clothes?
That’s what happens when you put a man at the top.

Most of the C. Wonder line is a huge disappointment whether Ken or Christian is designing it: it is very cheaply made and not attractive.
I sometimes think the buyers for HSN have no taste or talent in making choices for the HSN customer.
When they say you can’t get this or that at this price I laugh, I get petites all the time & better-quality pieces & nicer designs at cheaper prices.
Stores have huge sales every day and believe me if you are a good shopper, you will find much better-quality clothing than HSN or QVC has to offer at better prices.

I like Anthony I can’t say I liked his fashion maybe a few of his stretch pants that came in Petite I loved and a couple of tops but most of it 95% was not for me.
He was fun to watch, and a very passionate person and he made clothes for Edie Gourmet if any of you remember Steve & Edie Gourmet a husband & wife singing duo.
I also believe that QVC is trying to take away business from HSN so they can take it over completely.
I wish HSN would get Isaac Mizrahi on being he left QVC. He made a lot of petites and quality clothing.

Posted in Forum: Crafts & SewingAll of the products are gone from both HSN and QVC, except for one older machine on QVC. I use to occasionally buy materials from both sites when I had a coupon. I miss the Cricut Today’s Specials on craft days too.

There are so many wonderful websites you can shop. I gave up HSN QVC years ago when they merged. Any vendor that was good was gone. Fashions ugly and cheap. Prices climbing constantly. And I spent thousands! I’m so much happier now. Better choices. Faster better service and many don’t charge shipping fees!
