New host singing!
She was on with Paul who was presenting a “religious themed” bracelet. She started singing a liturgy which was quite long. She sang the entire thing and nobody (like a producer) stopped her. I feel that has no place on a shopping channel; I was shocked! It was very pretty, however to me is just wrong. I’m a believer but that was offensive. Two things to never bring up – politics and religion.

I experienced a singing host, but it was on QVC with Kim Gravel. She was on last week with a plus sized African-American host. Sorry, I don’t know her name. Kim was talking about how she had to sing the national anthem, and she didn’t know the words. How embarrassing to admit that. She is very inappropriate. She was talking about how she P’d her pants. All of this while showing her line. I liked it much better when the TV hosts and the vendors were a little more serious. It was fun watching them trying to contain their composure when something funny happened. They didn’t goof around and act like teenagers.

I’m glad we agree
-
Excellent! Love being on the same page.

If anyone is offended, then the truth hurts
-
That lame argument can work both ways, Skip.

I missed it but singing a religious song would not offend me in the least especially while showing cheap jewelry that doesn’t look like gold in the least.
If they aren’t going to give the customers what they want maybe they need to sing some religious songs for guidance.
We need more God in our lives anyway so good for Sarah.-
I think we need to be careful saying we need more God in our lives. Not everyone believes in organized religion. And certainly a home shopping network is not the place. If someone said we need more Satan in our lives, which is a religion, I think certain people would have a lot to say. Let’s keep the religious speak to ourselves.

I would rather listen to Sarah sing than Anji Corley say the word “vibe” a thousand times over the course of an hour whilst showcasing shoes. It was mind numbing. Singing is a talent. Parroting is not.
-
I turn the tv off when she is on.
-
I didn’t see this unwarranted exhibitionism, but it is certainly stunningly inappropriate. Poor judgement to let that go on.
-
I don’t know what it is about that host, but I cannot watch her. She gets on my last nerve.
-
They said her name!! Sarah Timm! No one is trying to keep it a secret. I myself think she is strange! HSN needs to fire the individual that is responsible for the show hosts and models hired since their move to PA! Lost interest in HSN all together!
-
She tries to work in her singing very often in the presentations…. It’s fine but doesn’t add anything to the show. But as someone else said, the quality control is an all-time allow with people dancing, singing, cursing, etc. (not comparing cursing to singing! lol just the concept of not concentrating on the items)

I saw this too, and thought I was the only one who felt it was inappropriate, while selling jewelry. Paul was his wonderful charming self and just sat there with a smile.
-
Paul had a half smile, looked from the jewelry piece back and forth to the camera, sort of with his eyebrows raised. When she was done he said she had a pretty voice and quickly started talking. O
-
It’s not that I won’t say her name , I don’t know it! She has long red hair and would present as a guest for DG. She was made a host I think when HSN moved.
-
It was most likely Sarah Timm. She’s a professional singer and has long red hair and used to rep Diane Gilman among other lines.

I’m just really curious, please tell us who the host was. What did Paul do when she continued to sing? So many hosts now dance (QVC), maybe she figured if they can dance then I can sing??
-
If she wants to sing, go be a singer. I’m not commenting on if she’s good or bad, or whether the religious element is offensive or not… but these new hosts need to study the products and offer some insight. If a jewelry salesperson at the mall store started singing a hymn for all to hear, I wonder what the reaction would be? Likely stares…

Why wont you say who the host was, some big secret? I am not a “believer” and religious drivel on a shopping channel is offensive.
