QVC Group is going to file Chapter 11 Bankruptcy
Whoever runs QVC and HSN has run it into the ground. They are in so much debt they need to file Chapter 11 to try to fix it. I used to spend 10’s of thousands of dollars on HSN, now I buy practically nothing. For me it went downhill when Cindy Grossman left as HSN’s CEO. There are no good designers anymore. Marla Wynne is even asking people where they shop retail on Instagram because she must see the end coming. Other than fashion I can find any other products cheaper online or Amazon. I now buy clothes from other designers, the clothes are more expensive but I would rather own something special of excellent quality then the dowdy junk they cell now. Who decided mature woman want to wear dowdy clothes?
That’s what happens when you put a man at the top.

they announced this in the beginning of the year. curate ran HSN into the ground and because they did it their hiding behind QVC by rebranding curate ” QVC group” , there going to leave QVC holding the bag while ” curate” flees. I hope that the judge in bankruptcy court will order Qurate to sell HSN , QVC to a retailer who knows how to grow a business and can bring HSN and QVC back and can bring back their venders. We need HSN and QVC as every chan stores are all closing so all that will be left will be HOME SHOPPING NETWORKS. that’s why it’s so important that they get rid of curate because a lot of people only can do over the phone as they don’t have a computer to do it on line.

Companies CANNOT compete with AMAZON, TEMU and sites like that, It’s plain and simple! When you can order something for a much lower price and receive it within 24 hours, and if you aren’t happy with something return it for free!
-
The other side of the coin may not be the CEOs, but the amount of money they received to entice new vendors, hosts, products. Owning HSN meant no more competition and a way for them to let them sink. Competition is good for business. It keeps them on their toes.
Reaching a younger generation is everyone’s wish. Again, to do so, one needs to know who they are and what they purchase on line and locally. You cannot say young. One needs to know the age groups. What goes with what. What restaurant is the go to place. What clothes should I wear and what color would impress my date. You are not only eating but watching. It’s not an easy task. One needs to make an entrance that enhances. People are not blobs. They are individuals who can make or break you.
-
I have watched HSN and QVC for over 20 years. Rarely watch either channel any more.
They do need to find a way to appeal to a younger crowd. They have lost me. I enjoy shopping TJ Maxx and Amazon. -
You cannot really blame a man for bringing two televised retail giants to bankruptcy. Remember Barry Diller?? He brought in Mindy who knew her retail trade backwards and forwards. I remember the first day that HSN was televised under his leadership. He had great workers who were talented. That’s because he listened and did his homework. When the business sold I knew it was just a matter of time before they would be run to the ground. Today, one needs to be retail savvy. Going from television to an online store is not the only way. You need to know your audience. Who are the shoppers out there. What do they need. How can I meet those needs and be diverse enough to bring in others. More and more people in all age groups are now leaning and living through technology. Who knew 10 years ago or more that cable would not be the venue it once was. It’s great for news, movies, shows, etc.. But people today find cable is not enough. It’s too expensive. Sometimes, you need to spread those wings and fly and take chances. Some will be a miss and others will become the new norm. We cannot always live in the old, the way it used to be. We just need to find the new footprint and take hold. And that footprint can only work if the people under you know their trade and to the job they were expected to do and then some. I wsh only the best for HSN and QVC and the Community that brought us all together.

QVC/HSN’s attitude of “Everything’s fine! Nothing’s changing! Nothing to see here!” is nuts.

I’m sorry to hear about the bankruptcy filing, and I hope they can turn things around.
I love how they demonstrate and explain products on here, especially things like
computers, vacuums, arts & crafts things, etc. There is value in that, especially
because a lot of stores today don’t have enough sales help around period, let alone
sales help that even knows much about the products they sell…I can’t believe there isn’t someone smart who could turn this around. Yes, they probably
need to focus on some things that younger people like, but don’t forget people of all
ages, as well. I’ve always wondered why HSN never sells video games or had really good
deals on stuff like that, or whatever younger people are into. If you did things like that,
and publicized it properly to younger people, they might come–
and then stick around to buy other things like decent kitchen stuff, computers,
arts & crafts things, cool clothes at a good price….and not just “old lady” clothes like
I see sometimes, with some of these brands.Gotta have a mix of things that younger
and people of other ages would like…..and do get some good hosts to sell it on TikTok,
Instagram, and platforms like that, as well. Maybe pair a younger host with an
older, entertaining one who really knows a lot & is good at selling, t, to do this….I am a fan–I draw Crafting Cat Cartoons which was inspired by your Craft Days–
and still post them on Suzanne’s Get Crafty Facebook page, plus my own
Facebook page for Crafting Cat Cartoons, and Instagram……I really want HSN to recover
from this and do well. -
yes i have enjoyed reading all your comments about QVC and HSN and I too find it too repetitive with the clothing lines especially. So I just don’t buy. If I don’t like the repetitive host that tries to sell the clothing..”oh yes! you can wear this to your next shower or maybe an anniversary or just going out to lunch with a friend…blah, blah. Us girls are too smart for that rhoetic.
Go shopping and see all the options you have outside of the shopping boxes.
Go shopping for good brands outside of the shopping boxes..
I do agree it all becomes very boring and very predictable on the weekly lineup.
Just remember, we all have choices. If you don’t like what you see, go see what you like. -
“On or about April 15, 2026 (the “Petition Date”), QVC Group and certain of its direct and indirect subsidiaries (excluding subsidiaries outside of the U.S. with the exception of one non-operating subsidiary in here), including QVC Inc. (collectively, the “Company Parties”), intend to commence voluntary cases (the “Chapter 11 Cases”) under Chapter 11 of Title 11 of the United States Code (the “Bankruptcy Code”) in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas (the “Bankruptcy Court”).

Just checked out qvc website and they are launching andrew lessman as a returning vendor- and so it begins- they are slowly moving the most valuable vendors to qvc so they can end hsn
-
they can’t make or for e andrew lessman to go over to QVC. I also hope the bankruptcy court seperates the two sends HSN back to Florida. And dies curate for everything they have.

I used to love flexibelle by Kim Gravel BUT!! it has gotten waaaaaaaay to expensive for me. I have no clue why she feels that a $35.00 jean should go for over $65. – $70? I just don’t buy from HSN or QVC anymore. The decisions they have made in the past several years have been horrendous.
-
I read it last month. their six billion dollars in debts. Curate went hiding behind QVC as they now call themselves ‘qvc group. Yes’ curate ran HSN into the ground and I doubt that curate will come through. if they don’t, the court should take custody of HSN and QVC while looking for new buyers for HSN and QVC septet. up state new York here the nevlry hotel and resort was ran into the ground July 3rd 2009 workers showed up for work, found themselves locked out as was closed down by owner. the court took custody of the resort and hotel, the owner got nothing and was side. this should happen to curate.

Well, I hear you all and agree that HSN has changed. I still shop DG2 and Marla, and I did buy a lot of jewelry like turquoise from dealers that have left HSN, and although I do like Chaco Canyon, I preferred the Native Indian lady that came to represent the brand and the actual artisans vs. the lady that now comes.
I never really bought a lot of QVC until recently, since I discovered Le Creuset, Vitamix, Kitchen Aid, Isaac and Dooney (back in the day), Stacey London, Spring Step, and Peace LOve World. I thought that they had a better shoe selection than HSN, and the new denim line (Driftwood) that was once in Sundance magazine (because I shopped Sundance a lot!)
Lastly, the food selling is reidiculous….please reduce that time slot…please also reduce Kim Gravel since her clothes are mostly copied from other designers (nothing original or expensive looking). Has Kim bought the station????

David Rawlinson II is the HEAD OF QUARATE GROUP which owns QVC & HSN the President of QVC Stacey Bowe is the President of QVC & the merchandising USA. I blame the top person which is David Rawlinson II.
I think QVC is going in the wrong direction and HSN has been trying to pull themselves out of a hole, but they just keep making it bigger with all the poor designers they are allowing to sell on HSN.
Instead of HSN finding really good designers not a name only and start demanding all sizes and quality they will continue to go downhill.
I still like HSN and I love their customer service for the most part the majority are all really helpful and pleasant, but they need to have brands that are great not just any brand that is marketed at a cheap price you can find cheap anywhere people are looking for quality at a good price.
Also, they need to start acting more professional and stop treating the customers like they are morons and tell us over and over where we can use their merchandise, how to wear it where to wear it; it is repetitive chaos that is going to drive customers away. Also, don’t tell us we can’t find a better deal because oh yes, we can and we can find quality to boot. I shop all over & there are a lot of stores that have been around forever that are competitive in pricing, and they sell petites regular and tall in 99% of what they sell.-
HSN studio hasn’t sold yet but is under contract and is in final stages of the sale. hopefully HSN lawyers can stop the sale until the bankruptcy court starts and hopefully the judge will order the sale of HSN studio in st Petersburg Florida to terminate it and return back to HSN. HSN can then move all there items back to st Petersburg fla. Q

Perfectly stated, and I 100% agree with you.

What I cannot stand is not seeing the designers when their products are new. I don’t like Brand Ambassadors. I liked seeing Antthony, Diane Gilman, etc. I too have stopped buying stuff and paying down my credit card.
