Well im on the fence. I impulsively ordered it. My order has been in packaging since I ordered it. Time on my hand to reconsider the $200 purchase including shipping and tax. Gonna cancel.
I have the Explore Air II…….do I really need a machine just to make vinyl signs which seems to be it’s hottest feature upon reflection. The vinyl was not a cheap trick. As a matter of fact after I really looked at the price+shipping on each roll….. it almost doubled in price vs what I could purchase in the store or Amazon. I cancelled all 5 rolls. The shipping was obscene.
Think HSN rolled the dice on the effect of $5 Craft Day shipping and the customer lost! Canceling. I can buy a lot of Cricut supplies for $200 for my Explore Air.

Posted in Forum: FashionWhy isn’t HSN competitive with other stores that have sales? They rarely bring Patricia Nash bags to a price that’s what I have seen elsewhere. I used to think it was the lowest here and now I always shop around. For example, today I got the Blue Clay crossbody for $70 at the M store and the shipping is free. Several other style handbags are under $100 too. They have great deals every weekend.

I’ve tried placing an order for Christmas gifts back in November 2019 and I ran into the issue of never receiving it on my front porch. I talked to customer representatives and they processed a refund for both my orders. I ended up buying it from elsewhere since I was in a rush to get presents all in order. Now, I’m being rebilled for these two orders even though it’s been about 3-4 months later and when I contacted HSN, they said they’re waiting for the investigation. Well the investigation has been 3-4 months and I’m still expected to deal with an issue that has occurred several months ago? They said I should be expecting a “call” from the delivery company confirming if I’ve received it but I can’t sit around expecting to answer every call. I haven’t received a call since. Money is tight here and I’m afraid of these charges staying for several billing cycles so can anyone help me cancel these rebills?

I will agree with most of the statements here. I am also one of those people that deleted my entire order when I saw the shipping was not the $5.00. Don’t blame the venders this was an HSN decision. Yes I do purchase from Anna and Sara off their own sites. Guess its knowing what you are willing to pay for an item. As well as knowing if you have confidence in a company or not. With HSN you need to LISTEN carefully to the hosts … then drop down and READ what’s written as well as reviews if available. Must admit it makes me sad to hear a host say “this is the lowest price we’ve ever offered” knowing I paid less for the same item from HSN. Also keep your eyes peeled on JoAnns, Michaels, Amazon, HSN, QVC, etc…use a coupon you MAY get a better deal.
Anyone else getting taken out of HSN and being offered to update your computer? Also stating that you need to update Flash?
The box thing is a function of the place where the order is fulfilled. The Cricut Joy products maybe related to Cricut fulfillment as HSN has centers all over the USA. For example, Fontana using UPS is my main fulfillment center. Older merch usually comes out of Virginia, which is bad for me because it then must go thru UPS Vernon, CA where it usually is pilfered as it was on a Iman item last week. So I pay close attention to routes. Cricut fulfills a lot of its merch themselves. I’ve asked for USPS on everything, to avoid UPS Vernon CA, but HSN does not honor that very often.
Thank you for the info TLG! I just called customer service at HSN to see if I could get a Spendable Kash Credit on the $21.50 I paid in shipping. I tried the Chat thing but the page kept coming up with an error. I am happy to say that the very pleasant representative gladly reimbursed me $16 ( minus the $5 I would have spent) in spendable kash. Now I can slowly purchase some of the items in my Saved list before the price goes up or they sell out. For any of you that paid out a lot in shipping, please take advantage of this. I hope HSN goes back to the $5 fill your cart craft days in the future.
Big fail for HSN on their craft day shipping costs. I watched carefully. I filled my cart with all my orders just before midnight. It had $86 in shipping charges on 16 items. The day began and I started the order process and got to the last part of final checkout and that $86 for shipping never left. I simply deleted every item that I believed would not sell out. That left 7 items. I swallowed hard and pushed submit order. None of those 7 sold out. And I realized there is nothing special about Craft Day anymore. Nothing. I can now buy all these things whenever I feel like. And I will probably not feel like it much.
I can buy almost all the Anna Griffin and Crafters Companion eventually on their websites. Anna ships free for $75 and CC has structured discounts. Cricut, if you have a Design Space Subscription, has a vigorous 10% plus special codes for an additional 10% off, with frequent special deals. Over $50 gets you free shipping. The big sales can sometimes be 50% off everything. Crazy good. That being said, the Cricut bundles on the Cricut Joy on HSN beat Cricut direct costs by about $1 per bundle. I did order some of the bundles. But that was done only after checking my costs between the two down to the last penny. Cricut must have held HSN’s aggressive shipping costs in low place as the bundles were much lower on shipping costs than other vendors items. I would have loved to have seen that negotiation. I am betting my Cricut orders will be fulfilled directly from Cricut. At least I hope so. We will see….
I feel sorry for the vendors. Anna had only one sell out. Sara Davies seemed way down on sell out. The stench of Qurate shipping costs, however, fills the air. It smells like “bad business.”

I really am sorry for this delayed response, @sue925. I hope that I answer your concern regarding your payment and HSN Credit Card account. As with any credit card, you’re only charged interest on a balance that is carried over from month to month. As for double charging, we don’t double charge any FlexPays as they are billed every 30 calendar days. However, if you happen to purchase an item on a month that has 31 days in it, your FlexPays will be charged on the 1st and 31st.
Posted in Forum: Crafts & SewingGet your CRAFT DAY shipping returned as KASH credit in your account. Go to your “Order Status”. Then look on the left hand column, click “chat”. A box will pop up, put in it that you want your Craft Day shipping back. A service rep will help you. The KASH credit is better than nothing. Oh by the way, HSN did not send me an email and I do not see any posting from HSN about this, a friend told me! Feel free to share this information.
The parent company that owns QVC bought HSN, and the channel has deteriorated ever since. That company’s flagship is QVC., with other acquisitions like Zulily subsequent. Your point is a matter of semantics. To claim that QVC didn’t buy HSN is false.

I also only purchased 2 items with $3.50 shipping when I normally buy many items.
I agree with everything said except QVC did not buy HSN. HSN was bought by the same parent company that owns QVC, Zulily and several other online retail shopping.
Oh my gosh, for the 100th time, QVC did not take over HSN. They are owned by the same parent company who also owns Zulily and a number of other companies.
These boards and Facebook are more effective than calling in because of the response volume. Marketers are always testing, sounding out the market. This craft day was a massive failure, and they’ll correct it eventually. My concern is that there may be new a person/people hired for the craft division at HSN, and they don’t know their market. They may do extreme testing again and again to get it right. That’s a potential rocky road for us. I resent their assumption of our stupidity in the frequent, obvious lies on this craft day. The “Crafting with Suzanne” also bothered me a lot. Presenters sitting at a round table surrounded by clutter does not constitute crafting. Anna Griffin and Sara Davies demonstrating their products is crafting. Because they’re excellent demonstrators, their products sell well. Could someone convey this in simple language to the new marketing genius at HSN?
