Does anyone know where to find instructions or tutorials for the “taste of create a card” bag? I can’t find anything I even looked in the crafters companion website no tutorials.
I have an ebosser and a gemini machine, as well as some manual machines. The AG dies are thicker than some other dies like Crafters Companion, Heartfelt Creations, and other thin metal dies, so the pressure of the gemini needs to be adjusted. The AG dies cut into my gemini embossing mat because I didn’t adjust the pressure by changing the plate combination when using them.
I used to belong to AG’s ‘finishing school’, and it’s an idiosyncracy of AG’s that she decided at some point to cut down into the mat of the empress machine. She says that that way the die cuts and embosses in one pass, although she has often put the die through more than once. She claims the die also doesn’t etch the plate, which would be true if the die doesn’t face the plate.
I love my ebosser for its versatility (it has a higher opening so it can take thicker dies) but the gemini lives up its claim of cutting intricate dies with one pass and has saved me so much time and ruined cardstock. I recently tried out the gemini pro which I now have on order in the UK voltage version to use with a voltage converter until I move back to the UK, and it was great. It’s expensive,of course, but if I were looking for another die cutting machine I would want to get one that did something different to the ones I already have to give me more flexibility rather than only not to potentially keep my plates from being marked. It is also true that the gemini pro has stronger plates that don’t warp as easily. Only the top plate warped a bit but then got flattened putting it through the machine again. These are just things to think about. I don’t have an empress myself and have never tried one but I’ve seen AG using hers and haven’t been impressed that it was even as good as my machines, but that is just my opinion. Other opinions may differ.

I have been curious about/wanting the Anna Griffin Empress Die Cutting Machine for a while. I heard there will be a special on it this month. I have the Crafters Companion Gemini, Gemini Junior, Diamond Press Marquis, and Cuttlebug machines. I can cut Anna Griffin dies with those machines, however, it tends to warp my plates/folders quicker than other dies.
I have noticed that when Anna cuts with the Empress, the dies cut into the magnetic mat instead of into the outer plates.
Does anyone have experience with the Anna Griffin Empress? Do the outer plates last longer than other machines?

Thank you for responding. I mostly add items from the Craft category such as Crafters Companion items. Of course, I can re add the things I can find again, but some things I saved that I can’t remember the name of. I may as well just make my own list on my computer because your Favorites list does not work. It so much easier just to look at the Favorites list to see if things are still available, or sold out or its something I need to order when the quantity is low. The most important feature of the Favorites list is when something going out of stock it will send you an alert when it comes back in stock. It even says that at the top of the Favorites page. If you’re going to dump my list all the time there is no point in saving anything.

LindseyLus – Did you see it? I would have no room for it, it’s big and heavy! Check out Crafters Companion on youtube where you can see Sara using it and other new items that will be on the show Tuesday. She has it on a turntable to turn it around to get her plates out. I’m guessing it will be expensive too, we’ll find out Tuesday. I have the Gemini Go and Junior but keep going to my Diamond Press Marquise. I love not messing with all the plates and to me it’s faster, much quieter and takes up less room. Beth Kingston will be showing new items like the Marquise in a new rose gold. The bigger Gemini Pro will be sweet for those who want to do bigger things!
Posted in Forum: Crafts & SewingOh my, for everyone wondering, the preview video of products is on Facebook. It is going to be the GEMINI PRO. It has an opening of 12 INCHES. It comes with 12 x 12 plates and other goodies, with 12 x 18 plates available as a additional purchase.
Not a clue. It is so frustrating that they apparently only do previews on the private Facebook page Fans of Crafters Companion on HSN. I liked it when I could just go to their webpage and see what was coming up.

Does anyone have any clues about what the Today’s Special will be on the HSN Crafting Day January 19th, 2021? The program guide shows Crafters Companion is on at midnight. Usually there are some clues somewhere on what it will be. Any ideas?
Correct, no storage totes, they are sold separately. The “Portable Craft Room” was made mostly for crafters that don’t have a “craft room”, it gives them a place to store all their craft items. You can use it for other things too. My friend has one, it’s made nice & strong, not cheap. She loves all the compartments and pockets and the selves are adjustable so you can customized it your way. She LOVES it and says it so much nicer then a big suitcase that she use to use AND that cost more! It looks nice with the storage totes but you can use your own storage containers. Good luck trying to find the totes, they sold out of just about everything. Crafters Companion had a big birthday celebrating 15 years with 15 days of crazy sells on their website the past 2 weeks. I watched some, even won a gift bag filled with crafts, it was fun! IF you order $100 or more, it’s free shipping, anytime! BUT you will have to wait about 4 weeks to get your order here in the US. Check out the Crafter’s Companion website, they have 2 shows everyday. Its fun and I find it relaxing, lol!
They do need new management, no question about that, as well as to listen to their customers, the ones they have left, anyway. The reason why companies bring their products to HSN, or any shopping channel, is because so many people see them on tv who haven’t heard of them, and many people impulse buy. Sara Davies of Crafters Companion said that HSN is their single biggest customer. CC sell the items on their website as well, even if you have to wait sometimes, not so much of a wait recently, though. CC’s worth is at least £35 million, and I’m sure that selling on HSN has helped significantly with that, so it is not in their, or any other company’s, best interest not to sell on a shopping channel.
I recently received an order that included a set of Connie Fung Stamps by Crafters Companion. Inside the envelope fornthe snow man stamp was an duplicate of another stamp in the set. Based on posts on Facebook this is not an isolated issue. Since the set is sold out I dont want to return and reorder. I also realize this is a crafters companion issue not an HSN issue. I would hope the resolution will be to require replacing the incorrect item with the correct one. Please let me know what HSN’s resolution plan is

Did anyone buy those new markers that CC had on the last craft day? If so, how do you like them? How are the colors? I have been on extended delivery since the last craft day and I can’t find any info on the markers. I am beginning to worry if I am going to get them or not. It was an auto ship item and I didn’t get the first one yet. Thanks. Have a great day.
I don’t know anything about what you actually bought,but crafters companion have the triblend brush markers in stock on their website in different permutations. There are usually better prices and deals to be had from English websites. I buy most of my craft items from England. If you wanted to, I don’t see why you couldn’t cancel the hsn order and buy the markers from elsewhere.
