Since they took away the $5 capped shipping in March, I haven’t watched hsn. I even forgot they were having a craft day today. The only products I’m interested in are Crafters Companion and Anna Griffin, and I buy anything of interest of CC from websites in England for cheaper prices,no tax, and free or very low cost shipping, depending on the website, and get emails from those websites letting me know about the new products, and I get product preview emails from AG and wait for Anna Griffin products until she adds them to her website. I’ve already got enough to open a shop so I’m not in any hurry. HSN is not a company I will ever buy from again. The only incentive they ever had to buy from them they took away and showed by their actions that they really don’t care and they don’t appreciate their customers.

I much prefer to see items online days ahead of time. I like to research items to determine quality, best price, companion products and ways to use the products that fit with my goals. For me, paper is like paint to a painter or clay to a sculptor.

I love to see changes that are occurring in crafting. This past year has seen a surge in foiling innovation. Mixed media really is taking off. Using new inks and surfaces to create new paper media, I find challenging. I shop with a plan to communicate with 2 year olds to 94 year olds. I love humor, nature, story telling, entertaining and thinking about who will receive my crafting.

COVID-19 really elevates the need to craft. Unfortunately, it really is hurting the shows for crafting for vendors stuck at home with poor sound/lighting and camera work. Only Anna Griffin and Sara Davies have professional studios and new products. We Are Memory Keepers and Diamond Press are broadcasting well, but Tiffany, Hollie, and others are struggling with their broadcasts today. If I had not prepared today by reviewing items online, I would have not watched most of the shows.

The biggest reason HSN wants product online pre-shows is to gauge pricing. Several items have increases in prices today due to brisk sales before today. The algorithms have spoken! HSN needs to be very thoughtful about increasing prices on show day. Crafters are already rightly very angry about shipping costs. Just in time inventory control is causing delays in shipping. The supply chain is hurting and all of it is a drag on the consumer, who pays days ahead of shipping. Lots of extended delivery. And then the TSV becomes a reoccurring item over and over if it sells well. Enough already. Lighten up HSN. You are killing the goose who lays the golden egg.

Just caught Sara a couple of days ago on her own channel selling Totally Tiffany from UK with US$ pricing that was very low priced. I could hardly believe what I was seeing. What does it mean? I am not sure, but I am not a big Totally Tiffany consumer. The quality just is mediocre. And over priced. But from what I could see, the entire TT line was on Crafters Companion site. If TT is the TSV, I will be in shock.

Crafters companion had an unbelievable warehouse sale today! Live demos and incredible prices. Free shipping after $30! Normally it’s free ship after $100 which is still better than HSN.
ON top of everything else if you’re a club inspire member you were able to use that discount so for me it was another 20% off!
Sara’s website is a great place to shop, watch demos and save money. I just cannot buy from HSN anymore. It isn’t worth it.

I also had put the CC’s verse stamps and storage folders in my favorite box and they were gone when I went back to look at them again! I did not see them until they were are sold out. So why are they not in my favorite box??????

Bring back $5 fill your cart shipping on craft events

I didn’t buy anything on that last craft day, and I was all set to spend several hundreds until they wanted shipping on each item. That put me right off hsn and their craft days,probably for good. There’s nothing special about hsn. Their prices are higher, or the same, as I can find elsewhere. I usually have the crafters companion items I want sent over from websites in England where I don’t have to pay tax or shipping, and anna griffin items usually turn up on her website eventually with free shipping. I only have watched hsn for craft days, nothing else, and last time I just switched it off. I don’t think I have any interest in them any more after that last one.

I waited for today’s special craft day to submit my hefty list of things to order, (because of the $5 shipping) only to find out you’ve added $60 shipping to the order – on a supposed special craft day! My 500+ order just got pruned
down to one item and I may not even be ordering that. I did a Google search and found that this isn’t the first craft day that you’ve done this. I’m sadly realizing my days of ordering hundreds, and I do mean hundreds of dollars of items on craft days are over. I’m very disappointed in you but I suppose I should probably thank you for keeping all of that money in my bank account instead of yours. You see, your prices aren’t usually the lowest available on the world market but up until this time I’ve been willing to pay the usually extra price due to the $5 craft day shipping special and the return policy. I stopped to think about how many times I’ve actually returned items and realized over several years, I literally used it just a couple of times. So that leaves the $5 shipping days. Now they are gone, I’m going to be very surprised if your new policy of saving shipping costs one day every couple of months doesn’t cost your bottom line. I think you may be throwing out the baby with the bathwater here. I’m wondering if this will effect sales for and Griffin and crafters companion as well. I know they are huge in and of themselves but a part of why they are huge has been their HSN exposure. It may not have immediate impact but I imagine it will have impact as shopper attrition increases. After all, if we’re not going to be doing the shopping, why on earth would we spend the day watching the programming. Good luck to ya.

Customer Appreciation—not so much–bring back $5.00 shipping

Big fail for HSN on their craft day shipping costs. I watched carefully. I filled my cart with all my orders just before midnight. It had $86 in shipping charges on 16 items. The day began and I started the order process and got to the last part of final checkout and that $86 for shipping never left. I simply deleted every item that I believed would not sell out. That left 7 items. I swallowed hard and pushed submit order. None of those 7 sold out. And I realized there is nothing special about Craft Day anymore. Nothing. I can now buy all these things whenever I feel like. And I will probably not feel like it much.

I can buy almost all the Anna Griffin and Crafters Companion eventually on their websites. Anna ships free for $75 and CC has structured discounts. Cricut, if you have a Design Space Subscription, has a vigorous 10% plus special codes for an additional 10% off, with frequent special deals. Over $50 gets you free shipping. The big sales can sometimes be 50% off everything. Crazy good. That being said, the Cricut bundles on the Cricut Joy on HSN beat Cricut direct costs by about $1 per bundle. I did order some of the bundles. But that was done only after checking my costs between the two down to the last penny. Cricut must have held HSN’s aggressive shipping costs in low place as the bundles were much lower on shipping costs than other vendors items. I would have loved to have seen that negotiation. I am betting my Cricut orders will be fulfilled directly from Cricut. At least I hope so. We will see….

I feel sorry for the vendors. Anna had only one sell out. Sara Davies seemed way down on sell out. The stench of Qurate shipping costs, however, fills the air. It smells like “bad business.”

$5 shipping cancelled due to 'unforeseen circumstances '

I got on Community page at 12:30 am to inform Crafter’s about the shipping. I already had about $400. In cart almost clicked Submit, but I called HSN three times and due to hold I went to Chat. Finally, both representative said Not today, in regards to $5.00 shipping. No apologies , no explanation. I suggested that us loyal Crafter’s Boycott. Hopefully, the vendor’s will take it up with HSN. No way will I give $5.50 per item at (with me 30 products). I’ve called Anna Griffin s company and left message, wrote Crafters Companion, Cricut too. Anna’s site has a code for free shipping. Crafter’s there is a channel for Crafter’s called Create and Craft in United Kingdom. Shipping this week is capped at $2.99 and US $7.99. Ladies how HSN did this is appauling. Cricuts emails to me listed Cricut Joy at the same price as HSN and they offer shipping coupons. Let’s unite Crafters. Boycott HSN. We will be saving.

Crafters Companion, Cricut, Anna Griffin, Diamond press and others. Due to no reduced shipping on crafts myself and others who purchase hundreds of dollars monthly on craft days – have emptied our carts and we are not purchasing multiple items. Obviously HSN has customers that will make purchases, but us crafters that wait and buy many many items during craft days and wait and prepare for NATIONAL CRAFT MONTH debut have cancelled our orders.

No $5 Shipping is saving me money!

Without the usual $5 shipping special, I have reduced my craft spending on HSN. Thank you for forcing me to curb my normal craft spending. I feel sorry for Sara Davis for visiting from the United Kingdom and will probably not experience her usual sellouts on her fabulous products. I am sure Anna Griffin, Cricut, Diamond Press, and the rest of the Vendor will feel the difference in the loss of sales during March 2020 Craft Month. Now shopping on Amazon, Ebay or crafterscompanion.com will be more attractive than HSN.
