I totally agree with you. I have not bought anything new in awhile from HSN. The last time I ordered something new was from Guilliana when she had her two piece TS. I find myself buying older clothing items that are now on clearance. I have been ordering online and not from QVC because everything is ridiculously expensive. Please listen to us HSN and bring us new items that are not gaudy and crazy expensive.
all I know is some of the models dont look like models and if you cant do a job your hired for you shouldnt be doing it, what is this about feelings and mean people? its a place to voice your opinion good or bad and turning the channel shouldnt be the answer and qvc wouldnt want you to since how is that good for business huh. you fluffy people should wake up since all thats happening in the world isnt nice a lot of it. this whole social media isnt nice. being able to complain is one of the only nice things about it so dont expect sugar coating if truth is what were supposed to write. truth is hsn isnt the same fun place it was but i knew once qvc got involved it would change to the more all business straight face no fun kinda place where they stay on items so long you get bored and clearance is a joke since they dont mark down and re mark down enough. anyway i think if enough people notice a problem with an employee that by posting those remarks could actually save that persons job if they read it and listen and take it for what it is. It can make them better at the job and then they can get positive reviews. goody
Totally agree with this! Why exclude clearance items for free shipping? Won’t be purchasing anything today as clearance items are not included in free shipping. I always purchase items from my favorites on free shipping day that are clearance, won’t be purchasing anything now! Same goes for QVC, if they start this ridiculous policy on free shipping day, my shopping there will be done as well!
Today is a free shipping day, but now it excludes clearance items. That’s when I would buy. I hope qvc doesn’t adopt
this rule too.
In the past year or so I have received a lot of shipments from HSN where either the wrong product, damaged product, or the wrong size was shipped. But the same thing has happened on shipments from QVC. But the worst from QVC recently was the free shipping coupon for up to four fashion items for the month of March. The code came directly to me by email. The coupon was excluded from everything I tried to order. I studied the terms of the coupon, and there were no exclusions for “as is” and clearance items. I’m a coupon person, so I know how important the terms are. I tried customer service twice to get the S/H waived because of the coupon, and they wouldn’t help. They told me that there were exclusions. Too bad QVC didn’t put that in the fine print on the email promoting the coupon. I’m not planning to order from QVC again. That being said, I am always so thankful for the EXCEPTIONAL customer service on HSN. The HSN representatives have always taken care of things for me, and it is appreciated!
Ya know-it’s funny… I SWORE OFF HSN over a year+ ago, then while playing in Arcade (remember the Arcade?, lol) & reading forum, noticed HSN was bought out by Qurate. Was happy b/c I could order Prai/Andrew Lessman again. All’s been OK-TIL NOW! So, I DID order the shorts today (imagine THAT-actually WORKED, hmmm). But same as THOSE SHORTS went POOF (off my wishlist/inability to purchase), now several ‘other’ items are GONE-along w/the low-er prices… WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON…?
If anyone can find the item # for Emyrn House Chenille (?) Bedspread/Sham Set (was avail in golden/terra cotta/green (lilac s/o) w/queen being largest size avail-was $44.+) I’d really APPRECIATE it (thnx in advance). Again, checked HSN/HSN2-shows not aired-WHEN I CHECKED! I TRUST NOTHING ANYMORE -AND-TAKE PHOTOS W/ALL info avail! Too much trouble for this ole gal! Once again it’s back to brick & mortar SUPPORTING ‘my’ LOCAL BUSINESSES (and gettin some needed exercise/socializing, lol). Only Prai/Andrew Lessman w/the occasional (RARE) deal. Read HSN Forum & reviews-see 2 things: 1) VERY FEW regular shoppers (ESPEC those of us LOYAL’s) 2) NO ONE’s HAPPY!! FEW positive reads anywhere! Sad-SO VERY SAD! And I thought ‘old’ HSN was bad…. AND WHERE’S THAT UPDATED ARCADE? …with my POOFED ‘WL’ items w/lower prices, NEVER AIRED & NEVER ALERTED NEAR SELL OUT, perhaps? Lol. Oh, and what happened to the MINIMUM 3 flex pays or more? Now it’s MOSTLY (clearance) ONLY (2)… with RARE, FAR SPANNING SALE pricing. Like A LOT of others’ I GIVE UP!
Did read a while back, someone wrote they thought maybe ‘all’ the TV shopping sites (HSN/QVC/SHOPHQ) we’re ‘appearing’ TO BECOME ONE… starting to see signs of this exact thing! Anyone else notice the shophq header in BRIGHT BLUE LETTERS: You Asked For It, We Listened-Free Shipping, All Day, Every Day…? Didn’t order anything, felt was a FAKE SITE (have pic!). Did anyone else see/order?? Mildly curious, lol.

Boring!!! Years ago (Before QVC) prices on clothing items would change (be reduced) monthly and sometimes sooner. I check clearance daily and items have been there for weeks with no reduction. Doesn’t HSN want to get rid of old stock? Also, the count on available items is frequently incorrect. One last peeve of mine has to be sorting according to size. The program is not specific enough. I can check M and the computer will show XL or 3X items, etc.

Fortunately this 73 yr old gal realized it & found hobbies!! Their shipping is absurd. Had 7 clearance items in cart, but shipping was $35? walmart offers free shipping over $35. So do other companies. I have learned to google products, & most often find lower prices. Imagine, I can buy one can opener,scissors etc vs the 2 forced upon us. Probly’ most frustrating was my naive believe when that Adrien said all she uses on lips was limp plumper. No conscience. She had lips enlarged as all her stuff did was burn. Noticed other posts wondering why she isnt on so much..sheesh she is 82 yrs old and spent all of our money on facial surgery!Twas Colleen who began the dragging out words with the uuugggghhh. So despicable. Amy does it as well-understood when she said Colleen is her best friend. Perhaps it is old age wisdom, or just disgust with the pushin product, but I no longer watch unless there is absolutely nothing on tv & I have neglected to record movies. I now find it fun/challenging to search for/find items at much lower prices. Their prices have gone ridiculously high,ha they think because they have a monopoly now by hsn/qvc owned by same co, but I do believe it shall come back to bite em in the long run. We are intelligent shoppers & all shall eventually realize we can purchase same, occasionally better quality products elsewhere for less money…& free shipping. lol. It is now all about greed. No more contests for prizes. I am shocked at some of the junk sold. ie even watching have noticed crooked shoulder seams, hemlines, the ex host Connie, now selling jewelry-semi precious stones of horrible quality, bronze plated. I know, of what I speak as I am retired from own business of selling jewelry. Semi precious, but huge difference in quality, & mine still selling solid silver for much less than her junk. Sheesh when I was a kid last time bronze jewelry was sold!! Prices ridiculous. She wont last.Please, gals, do a bit of soul searching to understand why u shop there, then move on to other sites to save yourselves some money. I even now go once a month to a mall – great for exercise, seems can sleep earlier after the walk workout, so less time necessary to have “them” in my home at nite, lol. Also, see what is new on the market. Impressed although not every size I find quality clothing at a great price.Mostly good to get out of the house as so many of us post covid have become reclusive. Prices are soaring on everything and it seems to be happening at most retail and grocery stores. I still find lots of items to purchase from HSN and QVC but almost all of it is clearance or “as is” When I shop at retail it’s the same, always clearance. I honestly don’t understand how people afford full price items from many of the brands including the ones mentioned above. It is almost funny to watch the presenters talk about their brand and how a basic t-shirt that cost 50.00 plus will change your life and your whole wardrobe!!!! It really is entertaining along with the presentations of seafood ,chicken, beef and other food items. If you figure out the price per pound of these items it is crazy!!! I often tease my husband and ask him if I should buy the items and tell him the price and what good deals they are!!! He will sarcastically agrees and tells me to buy more then one! I honestly like to watch just for entertainment and shock value! All my actual purchasing and shopping are on the online sites.
I fully concur. For 5-6 months, HSN had free shipping on orders $75+, a very reasonable threshold in my opinion. They also capped shipping at $5 or $6 if you weren’t going to hit $75, another provision I thought imminently reasonable.
Now, shipping charges are back and more evil than ever! I had several clearance items in my bag, sale items too, and though the total of my merchandise was less than $200, the shipping charge was over $40! I’m sorry, I won’t pay 20% of my order as shipping, it’s unacceptable.
I wrote to them, mail, and posted on Twitter and Facebook, but nothing from HSN. I hope anyone reading about this may post online or here, or even call HSN. Sure, emptying a shopping cart and NEVER purchasing those items gets noticed, but I think calls and especially social media posts are noticed much more.
Today while Jay King is on, I found a clearance item which lowered the shipping to $3.50. While I’d like to order more, the shipping gets prohibitive, but I am not on a TOTAL BOYCOTT. I think $3.50 is within reason ordering an item under $70 that was over $140.
I point out to HSN, however, that major online competitors like Amazon, Walmart, JTV, the USMint, online coin dealers, QVC (owned by the same company as HSN) has free shipping as well, the limit is on auto-ship orders which only get Free Shipping on the first shipment, then for vitamins and so forth, so far Lessman appearances have had free shipping, but for the record, so does CVS, RiteAid and Walgreens, with varied minimum orders but no more than $50,
HSN IF YOU ARE READING: If $75 wasn’t too low for you, have you considered $100? It’s common for many sellers of collectibles or online jewelers, in the US and abroad.
Might you also not consider perhaps TIERED shipping, maybe up orders of $50 for $5, orders $75 about $7.50, and then cap the shipping at $10 for orders of $100+? I’m not saying it’s the best for you or your customers, BUT might be doable? I had items over $200 that you didn’t sell because I refused to pay the $40+ shipping for items that weigh a few ounces. Maybe $10 is worth a $200+ sale? I might bite that bullet.
I’ll be curious if anyone has creative shipping fees.

I agree!And when it does ship it takes forever to get!Stuff i ordered on the 16th wont get here till the 28th…..Hsn used to be fast to get now very long…..They must have whoever runs QVC ship dept running HSN now..I was gonna order a few clearance items today but decided not to because of there slow process…..I went to Amazon and got same items for a little more but will have by sat with prime shipping…HSNs loss!
I noticed that the Ponte pants I bought from her line Fall of ’20 were still holding on clearance on HSN in January! And a maxi dress that was from one or two summers ago is still on clearance. I’ve stopped buying most of her clothing because the fabric has gotten cheap and looks cheap and washes poorly in the long run. Those were great Ponte pants, nice and winter thick fabric that doesn’t pill or fall apart in the washer and dryer, and perfectly tailored. I baby mine as they aren’t coming back. Only issue is they are kind of flared at the bottom of the leg. Last winter, I was sent a survey about her clothing and I said those pants were great but her other cheap fabrics are terrible and I have stopped purchasing from her line. They asked the kind of items I would purchase from her line. Iman was selling some of her jeans last fall, a skinny pant style and then a flared leg. I do not find DG2 comfortable because the rise is too short for me and they put models in a size too small and then won’t show the rear end or the waist band on the model. I think the emphasis is on DG2 this year as she is on every weekend and her selections are mostly versions of the previous selections. Not sure if Iman is phasing out or what. You might see what is on clearance for Iman right now and see if your favorites are still around. I have found that Belle jeans by Kim Gravel on QVC fit better on my body and are quality fabric.
For me, this was not a Birthday Bash. I would call this “The Birthday Blahs”. I can forgive extra shipping days as many companies are still short-staffed. What I find ridiculous is raising clearance prices during a sale. Normally, the idea of clearance pricing is to get rid of older items to make room for newer inventory. I buy many DG2 items and there are tees and tops that were brought out 12 to 14 months ago and have never been on sale or reduced in price. I am purchasing much less than I did before QVC and HSN became linked.
I started shopping @ HSN in the late 90’s. (The days when their sister channel “America’s Store” was still on the airways). I enjoyed the latter for deeper discounted items. Loved the pretty pieces by Victoria Weick on HSN. It was fun exploring the variety of designers in handbags and apparel with decent price points. Sharif is such an original! Must own a dozen of his purses. Later I delved into more apparel purchases and enjoyed the inventive domestics from joy Mangano.
Within the last 1-2 years I spend so much less because the prices have jumped so high and the majority of the fashion designs are far too embellished. Offer a few clothing items with this aesthetic. I scrolled through “tops” the other day and almost all have ruffles, unattractive patterns, asymmetrical styling, etc. Lets be honest, It’s time to give the cold shoulder to the cold shoulder- enough already. Marla Wynn sizing is off the charts and hides a women’s curves. I do applaud her for offering clean lines and solid neutrals which you will be hard pressed to find anywhere else on the site. Yes yes yes ladies, let’s talk about the matronly shoes. Sorry Clark’s, although the quality may be present in your shoes, the styling is inspired by what I would expect to be wearing when I am 85, non-ambulatory, and laced in Bengay. Agree with all the previous posts regarding QVC’’s undesired clothing vibe spilling into our once beloved HSN. HSN, we see your clearance prices bounce up and your regular price points as well. Did anyone catch the TS Coperfit sock set? 3 or 4 pair for nearly $40! Not long ago they offered 6 pair for under $30.
Wake up HSN you are quickly losing market share from thousands of loyal shoppers/clients.
I am not a crafter, but I have stopped buying shoes due to &5.50 shipping charge for each pair. HSN puts one pair in a large box and fills the remaining space with air bags. Last month I purchased a number of clothing items on lines HSN was dumping. I spent about $60 for the clothing and close to $20 for shipping. The whole bag probably weighed less than one pound!
The final insult is that QVC had free shipping one day last week. I just don’t understand HSN’s pricing policies with regard to clearance. Anything leftover from Spring and Summer 2019 should be 50 to 60 per cent off or more. If they want us to buy the new items, they should get rid of the old stock. Also, I hate the concept of “As-Is”. If I wanted used or sub-standard items, I would shop at thrift stores. Thanks for letting me vent!
