This may have something to do with Synchrony Bank. I’ve been a good HSN card holder for at least three years, 100% on time payment history, multiple double minimum payments made, have paid off card once, etc. On 12/17 I received an email advising my credit limit has been lowered leaving me with $45 during Christmas. The biggest issue is that lowering the credit limit also lowers my credit score.
Synchrony Bank is generating lots of complaints about treating loyal customers this way. It’s not illegal but it’s smarmy. I’m only one person, but I won’t be ordering from HSN or QVC anymore after more than 15 years. HSN/QVC have partnered with Synchrony and a company is judged by its choice of partners.

Gaack.! When I finally checked on the Synchrony B ank interest rates I was mortified. I know The Feds set rates, banks comply, companies’ contract with banks , and voila, the consumer gets stuck. Now, to beat them at their own game, I do balance transfers to cards offering 0% interest for 12-18- months and find it’s worth the 3-4-5% fee to make those transfers. IYou can save gobs of money with a balance transfer if you purchase items on the HSN or QVC credit cards. The rates are obnoxious. and insulting. Especially when hosts have to encourage customers to apply for the cards and make us feel like it’s a good thing. Extra easy pays, for example.
I don’t get out to shop at local stores, and unfortunately am a sucker for a good product , so I am guilty of shopping online… probably too much.
Any card with issued with Synchrony Bank seems to have a very high interest rate.I have seven different store cards with Synchrony and the lowest rate is over 25% and I have a very good credit score.Capitol One also has high rates for some reason.I only use one or two cards now that either have a 0% promo rate or very low rate.
Unless you can pay it off monthly in full or doing flex pays the HSN card is way to much at 32.24% [thats what mine is now]. Its not HSN causing this its the bank that issues the card.Many people are not using store cards now due to the insane interest rates on the cards.
Synchrony bank was no help at all. I do not understand how my flexpay with HSN & my HSN card could be over a thousand dollars different. I changed my payment method to my visa. HSN got paid. I know I paid twice for quite a few items. I am not happy. I have been ill. I will have to sit down and start filing disputes. I did pay the card off so I would not have my very good credit ruined.
Synchrony bank & HSN has been of no help at all. I don’t understand why in April my flex pays showed zero owed. My HSN credit card had me owing around $1500.00 I paid them & will investigate more myself. It will have to wait until after Labor Day. I am disgusted.
I changed my flex pay to my Visa. If you read above a moderator said they do not notify Synchrony bank if you pay by a different method. Why HSN allows you to change a payment method is not right. If they don’t notify you HSN card they get paid twice!

If you pay your FlexPay with a Visa, we wouldn’t notify Synchrony Bank because they have nothing to do with a charge to a different credit card for another financial institution. I changed my payment method to my Visa. I have been fighting with my HSN card since May 23rd. They billed both cards! If that’s the way it is why does HSN allow you to change your payment method? They get two payments. I did that with many orders or I may have never noticed it. I am sure it has happened to me in the past. I am really upset. No help from HSN!!!
Me either!!! I changed my payment method on my flex pays & have been waiting to get reimbursed since May 23rd. Never ever change a payment method. HSN gets paid twice! They should not allow this practice. They don’t notify Synchrony bank that you’ve paid anything. I as so mad at HSN right now.

So why does HSN let you change your payment method??? They get paid twice. I filed a dispute on May 23rd & still have not received my money back. My next step is to contact my Visa & dispute all of my flex pay charges that I changed to Visa. There is nothing I have to have from HSN. I can find the same items or very similar elsewhere.
Where should I send paperwork? To HSN. I have already mailed it to my HSN card. These disputes started May 23rd. I received no help at all from HSN. The Synchrony bank card knows I was double billed. They should have my paperwork the middle of this week. You can’t look up payments made to my Visa card??? If you aren’t going to notify the HSN card why on earth would you let someone change a payment????? I am so mad right now. I have over $1000 paid twice!!! I believe it happens often but isn’t picked up if it’s a few charges. I’m sure it happened to me before. When it’s at least 30 transactions I noticed it & reported it to HSN & the HSN card. Please look into this! Thank you,

I hate to tell you, but it happened to me. If I had 5 flex pays & I changed one or more to my Visa I still was charged all payments to my HSN card. My visa statement shows the exact same payments. Synchrony bank confirmed it with me this morning. I have sent my Visa statements to them so I can get reimbursed. HSN has been no help at all. I am very disappointed with this situation. I am stressed to the Max. I am disabled & love HSN. I believe you should not allow customers to change their payment method. I am out a lot of money. I changed around 30 flex pays. I really wish HSN could have been more helpful.

I have sent Synchrony bank copies of my visa statements I am so stressed out right now! You should not allow people to change their payment method! If you are not going to let Sychrony bank know that payments have been made by a different payment method. Great customer service HSN.I thought you were an honest company. Not anymore. If you don’t cooperate with these disputes, I will have to dispute them with my visa card. It’s not a small amount. It’s about 30 transactions. I’m disgusted! You lied to me on a three-way call. I hope you will work with Sychrony bank this time!!!
I plan on contacting my Visa card to let them know what is happening. I have talked many times to HSN & Synchrony bank. I have been charged twice now for many items. I am discouraged. My husband opened my statement, which he doesn’t usually do so I had to explain the whole mess to him. I will keep you posted.
I have been in touch with Synchrony Bank & HSN. I do love some items that only HSN sells. I will never do a flex pay again. I was sick in Feb.
March & April. I thought everything was okay. They allow you to charge to a different card. I did that & I have had no help! The payments I made on my visa don’t show on my HSN card. They still charged me for all flex pays. I am not well & this matter only adds to my stress!
