HSN received my returns approximately five or six days ago. I always keep documentation. I can only imagine the mountain of returns that they incur. However, if I do not receive credit for these returns yet so within another week or two (I consider that “patient”), I will be contacting HSN. I will be more than happy to provide them with PROOF OF DELIVERY for each return package. One of the returns that was delivered was their error. I ordered a bedsheet set and the wrong color/print was sent. The other day I received the “replacement” and it was ONCE AGAIN the wrong color/print, so I had to call HSN and send that one back as well. That particular one has not been delivered yet, but I will be checking (using the tracking number that is printed on the copy of the return label utilized). The other package that I returned to HSN contained two Colleen Lopez blouses. I ordered my usual size, but these blouses have the weirdest fit. Most women are not shaped the way these blouses are made. I am not keeping blouses that I cannot wear and cost about $50 each plus postage and tax. Will not be ordering anymore Colleen Lopez clothing. No way! In conclusion, I will deal with HSN and, hopefully, not have to deal with Synchrony. Synchrony is not what I call a consumer-friendly bank. Husband had a card for a home improvement store (starts with “L”) and Synchrony ticked him off so bad that he ended up cutting up that credit card …. but that’s another story by itself. Lol! I might be doing the same before it’s over? Don’t know yet.

Nowadays I only place orders on free shipping days or on items where shipping is free.
Synchrony Bank has the highest interest rates out there and now they charge $1.99 for paper statements. I wish HSN would finance their card with a better bank. Once an HSN card balance gets somewhat high the monthly payment is almost as much as the interest. Loan shark comes to mind every time I get a bill from HSN. I have now switched my payment option to a different account so I can pay the HSN card off and cancel it. I prefer to not use pre-paid return labels because I want to confirm that I received the entire refund on my statement. It is unsettling to have to pay several dollars to return an item that was shipped to me for free. If HSN would charge less to return items that would be nice. If I purchase a clearance item w/free shipping and then return it, I should not be charged anymore than $3.50 for a pre- paid label.

Synchrony has created a lot of havoc with a lot of issues recently. I have the HSN card but now very very rarely use it unless there’s an incredible sale discount. I use my own bank card which gives me 2% back on all purchases for 99% of my orders. I think it’s time HSN considered switching their card to a bank other than Sychrony.

As a follow up to my previous posts–Synchrony Bank has yet to credit my HSN account with the $206 dollars. And that is not the total amount they should be putting back on my account. I am going to pay off my account (including the $206 dollars) and that is it for HSN and me. Very sad as I have been a customer…a good customer for almost 30 years. This is a terrible business model and a terrible mechanism for crediting a return.

Follow up Follow up to my previous posts. On the synchrony site, I have filled out all the questions on the Dispute Forms at Sync Bank site for EACH of the returned items that I am not getting return credit for. Lucky I keep ALL the return documentation because they ask for it all. Entering ALL the UPS numbers (they are long), return date, item numbers. Took a lot of time however I did it as I eep all documentation. I did get an answer from them that they returned interest rates, shipping back, etc to me buy I will still have to wait for my $206 return ( there should be more) –again–WAIT FOR WHAT? So I will not pay the 206$ right now and wait as they suggested until they finally credit my account. It just shows that this remains on my account until the Sync Bank decides to give me credit. But I will pay the rest of my HSN card off and not use it again. If you use something like American Express they would come to your assistance with this nonsense.

I am doing a follow up post on my previous posts regarding the time needed to get a complete return on my HSN account. 2 days ago I spent a good 45-60 minutes on the phone with Synchrony Bank. Of course you cannot easily get a direct voice to voice conversation with Synchrony but I managed to get a very nice HSN customer Service rep to move me over to a Synchrony rep. Is is only on the Snyc account that you can get a full listing of your purchased items and those returned. Explained to Sync that I have a listing of items that were listed as returned by HSN site but still not being given “credit” for them on the Sync bank site. LONG STORY short Sync holds on to your returned item credits until a certain time of the month–before the monthly billing. I guess they are collecting more interest on me. I have returned the items, HSN has given me credit and the bank is holding the credit. Really? I am anxiously awaiting August 11 when I see if they give me credit for my returned items at the Sync bank. This is the strangest thing.

I won’t be using the HSN card very much. I will pay it off as soon as I know I’m keeping something. I hate synchrony bank! I use my Visa. I will never do flex pays again.

I agree with you. I never open any bills on line or in fact anything that comes from a bank or company that has to do with money – I just delete emails about accounts, applications for charge cards, and anything about money and bills immediately then go to my delete box and permanently delete them. Several companies I paid on line a long time ago were hacked. These were good companies that got hacked and our info went to hackers so the companies are required to notify us that our info was taken. I was advised to change all my passwords which I did and have been notified by a credit agency that my email address is on the dark web and there’s no way to remove it from the dark web where personal info is sold, so change my passwords. This is why I have cancelled all my Synchrony charge cards. I will not be forced to get online statements or pay online and I will not pay a “paper fee”. SO far Paypal has not been hacked and it is the only way I pay on-line, but I prefer paper and mail.I mail checks as payment. I never write my full account number on my checks and my address is not included on my checks. Lots of people don’t know that you can just have your name on checks without your address. The less info out there – the better.

HSN is certainly not what it used to be. It is so foolish to treat their customers the way they do. There are so many better options out there now to be able to buy from. Bargain basement quality, expensive merchandise, annoying hosts, interest rate hike on Synchrony Bank card, difficult and expensive returns, and the list goes on and on. These are just some of the reasons I no longer shop here.

I have been with HSN since the beginning. I no longer will be buying anything from them. I feel that their products are overprice. Their shipping costs are crazy, their return policies are outdated, and it takes forever to even get your product. They have out lasted their usefulness. Synchrony Bank was the nail in the coffin for me. (Interest rate is outrageous) Now adays you can go online and buy just about anything without shipping costs, and it is delivered the next day. Then if it doesn’t work out you can return locally without any fees. Also, clothing stores locally are very economical. You can try things on without the hassle of not knowing if something will fit. Plus, I like knowing that my local merchants are getting my business. Well, that was my two cents worth. I still like to read what the community has to say. Some habits are hard to break.

I just received my letter from Synchrony Bank. I will be closing my account and just use another credit card so I can continue to get Andrew Lessman’s vitamins. All the rest is not to my liking. You can always do better at Macy’s or another big department store if you shop smart. Thank you Synchrony for pushing me to do something that I should have done a long time ago.

I received the email yesterday. I pay off my bill entirely every month to avoid there high interest rate. Wondering if this makes them mad since I never have an interest charge.. I will call HSN tomorrow to change all my flex pay charges to another card. I had a card with Kohls and they changed there payee to Capital One about a year ago. Therefore they got rid of Synchrony Bank.

Hello Brenda, Synchrony Bank sent me a notice like this on my Lowes acct & I’m nothing using it. So I guess they think we have a money tree somewhere. We need our paper statements or proof of purchase because I’ve ordered things from stores in the past & never received some items and my receipt was my proof that I never rec’d the order. Thanks for the heads up I guess I better stop using my HSN card as well. I don’t think the Bank realizes that they might lose customer but I don’t think they care because they think that we will just keep paying for whatever they throw at us. They don’t realize how tried we are off all the new changes we NEED a BREAK. I pray EVERYDAY for OUR WORLD which has gone to heck in a hat basket lol. WE ALL NEED TO SEND LETTER TO THE BANK!!!!! OR CALL THEIR CUATOMER SERVICE DEPT. OR DO BOTH AND MAYBE THEY WILL HEAR US. WE NEED TO VOICE OUR CONCERNS. I have a friend who had been getting elec. statements but when she needed them it was a hassel so we changed her statements so she gets paper statements now with no problem. I’m NOT HAPPY WITH THIS. I pray GOD answers our pray on this matters. I’m pray for us ALL.

Posted in Forum: Talk Among YourselvesIf you have not already received a letter from Synchrony Bank you should be receiving one very shortly. Effective July 11,2024 anyone who receives a monthly paper statement will be charged $1.99.
I believe this is outrageous! NO other credit card company I have charges me a fee to receive paper statements.
Below are some of the reasons why I strongly encourage EVERYONE to contact HSN and QVC and make your voice heard. I myself spoke with a supervisor for over 20 minutes yesterday. I also requested since the telephone calls are recorded to have the senior management staff listen to it.
1) You are locked into paying a monthly charge for an extended time if you use up to 5 flex pays with any coupons or offers for discounts. The offers/coupons require that you put the payment on the HSN/QVC card to be entitled to them.
2) If Synchrony Bank is allowed to get away with this, I assure you other credit card companies will soon follow suit.
3) If you are reading this then you have access to a computer and email. But assist those who are customers of HSN/QVC who are not as tech savvy or have access to the internet. They NEED our help.
4) I use the convenience of a paper statement to keep accurate track of the due dates for credit card payments. The late fees will be raised up to a maximum of $41 and interest rates of 34.99%. Can anyone afford this? With receiving over 300 emails per day, the email giving me my statement may get overlooked.
Now is the time to make your voice heard before it is too late!
Sincerely,
Brenda

I have not received the increase letter yet from HSN, but I expect it soon. I have 2 other credit cards that are handled by SYNCHRONY BANK and I have received the increase letters for them, so today I canceled both those credit cards. For me it is not about the higher interest because I pay on time and never receive an interest charge, but I am totally against the $1.99 “paper” fee I would receive with each paper bill. When i buy paper for my computer it costs a couple of pennies per sheet, so why would I want to pay for a paper bill, not to mentions that one bill a month would add up to almost $24.00 a year – it’s like a tax! It’s not the money, it’s the principle. I realize if I go to electronic statements that fee is waived, but I do not pay bills or open statements on computer or phone, because I used to do it until my info was stolen and now that email address is on the dark web, and also someone used my card to buy dinner and stuff in Texas where I have never been, so I refuse doing anything with money on the internet. Anyway, when I get the letter for my HSN account I will cancel the card. If I want to buy something I’ll use Master Card for it and get that statement without a paper fee!
