If you have not already received a letter from Synchrony Bank you should be receiving one very shortly. Effective July 11,2024 anyone who receives a monthly paper statement will be charged $1.99.
I believe this is outrageous! NO other credit card company I have charges me a fee to receive paper statements.
Below are some of the reasons why I strongly encourage EVERYONE to contact HSN and QVC and make your voice heard. I myself spoke with a supervisor for over 20 minutes yesterday. I also requested since the telephone calls are recorded to have the senior management staff listen to it.
1) You are locked into paying a monthly charge for an extended time if you use up to 5 flex pays with any coupons or offers for discounts. The offers/coupons require that you put the payment on the HSN/QVC card to be entitled to them.
2) If Synchrony Bank is allowed to get away with this, I assure you other credit card companies will soon follow suit.
3) If you are reading this then you have access to a computer and email. But assist those who are customers of HSN/QVC who are not as tech savvy or have access to the internet. They NEED our help.
4) I use the convenience of a paper statement to keep accurate track of the due dates for credit card payments. The late fees will be raised up to a maximum of $41 and interest rates of 34.99%. Can anyone afford this? With receiving over 300 emails per day, the email giving me my statement may get overlooked.
Now is the time to make your voice heard before it is too late!
Sincerely,
BrendaPosted in Forum: HSN TVBeware of the outrageous interest rates being charged by Synchrony bank. If you have an HSN card, use it sparingly or pay off asap. HSN has been partnered with this Loan Shark level banking institution for a long time, and their interest rates are 10% or higher than most other cards. Just so disappointed in the quality of HSN product lines lately, then being poked in the eye by Synchrony is a double insult. I will be on a full payment at time of purchase basis with HSN for any future purchases. I am fastidious in my financial obligations, with a FICO score of 839, so I’m not a slouch when it comes to managing my purchases. Unfortunately, I DO like Andrew Lessman products, and the occasional modestly priced piece from the Mine Finds collections, but otherwise, no thanks. Sad commentary on the decline of HSN, which used to be a fun place to visit, watch, and shop. All done with my ramble. Thanks.
