Bouncing prices have become common place around HSN. Get something for one price one week and the next time you look, it’s a totally different price. I don’t know how or why the powers that be will think that the customer is not noticing this. I wish HSN would revert to its old practices and not these.

I think you really need to research more or speak with a manager at HSN .
i purchase a TP for my young daughter a few years ago . Long story , HSN promotions agreements with TRAC can be very different verses buying directly form TRAC.
Look at the fine print and the ‘GOOD TO KNOW’ SECTION under your item number .
I waited too long and lost the year of service etc . I fail to read the fine print or ask questions .
Basically I was told the free year of service was valid for a certain time frame and I would need to activate the phone before 90 days . Trac customer service agents are based out of the country . Many will tell you anything without fact checking due to the short time agents are allowed to spend with one customer.
Unless you have a personal reason to wait a year or more to use the phone , I would suggest you activate , return or at least speak with a HSN manager .
I lost my money by refusing to purchase new airtime. My fault for not understanding the promotion rules . HTH
I purchased the phone 1/24/2020 , I have until that date in 2021 to activate it.The promotion is a free year of service which would be until 1/24/2022.I did contact Hsn customer service and got to different answers, called tracfone and the agreed with the my understanding, just wanted someone else’s opinion.
I’m not sure what you mean by activating it “before the date of purchase which is 2021.” You said the date of purchase was 1/24/2020. Do you mean you want to wait until 2021 to activate it?
it used to be that you had a limited amount of time (like 60 days?) to activate the phone. I don’t think they say that any more, but that’s the question you want to ask HSN Customer Service – does the promotional airtime/mins/data/text expire if I don’t activate the phone within a certain time. In any case, in my experience, the promotional 365 days of airtime begin when the phone is activated, or if you already have a tracfone with a balance of airtime, the 365 days will be added on to the end. I usually activate it as soon as I get it.
The Warranty on the phone begins with your date of purchase however. So I wouldn’t let it sit in the box; I’d use it on WiFi just to make sure it’s operating correctly. I had a Motorola tracfone that started having errors a couple of months after I started using it. Since it was still under warranty, tracfone replaced it.
Also if the phone came with vouchers for apps, check the vouchers for expiration dates.

She said it was because they do a “soft” credit check for flexpay….which wasn’t mentioned anywhere that I could find. I assumed flexpay was for people who didn’t want their credit card! I have my credit reports frozen for security and identity theft reasons. Had I known they were going to try to pull my credit for a $100 purchase, I wouldn’t have tried! Shady business dealings, HSN.
Posted in Forum: Kitchen & FoodI purchased the Curtis Stone Dura-Pan Nonstick 4-Quart Multi-Function Pan w/Grill Lid from HSN 2 years ago. Three months ago I threw out my old nonstick fry pan and started using this. I LOVED this pan!! Nothing stuck to it, nice searing and super easy cleanup. Literally, I could wipe it clean with no soap or water! Last night as I was drying it, I noticed little tiny bubbles on the bottom of the pan. Did some research online and this seems to happen regularly after 6 months of use. Contacted HSN & the warranty folks for the pan and was told that 1) it’s out of warranty so no replacement, and 2) there has been no factory defect recall so I’m just out of luck. Others have said over time the bubbles chip off — so, this is going in the food??!! Shame on you Curtis! I’ll never buy another Curtis Stone product.
