Nope. I am not surprised I did not receive a survey. I used to get them, but I don’t shop HSN like I did in the past.

I just talked with Allison Konick, the rep for Elysee. Allison was wonderful, very helpful, and has worked with Linda for years, and also other brands on HSN and QVC, plus her husband, an Australian, took care of arranging Linda’s TV appearances in Australia.
* Linda has – not – sold the Elysee co, but needed to find investors/backers to help finance the companies growth, and has several interested parties. But that is not to say that the co will not be sold. Of course Linda wants to keep ownership, so hopefully the investors will be the answer.
* They hope to have their website up in one week, but it’s a complicated endeavor getting everything running smoothly.

I asked if Linda was going to be on any home shopping networks, and at this time Allison didn’t know. However she did say that Linda likes to have a one on one relationship with her customers and might find other venues such as podcasts, etc.
I told Allison to please tell Linda that we all love miss her and want her back on the air.

Not a big fan of her clothes I hope something better shows up. There really is no one left on HSN who makes awesome clothes.
Posted in Forum: Talk Among YourselvesWas surprised to see a HSN Survey email this morning. It was quite lengthy. Multiple questions to select from options on what is most important/least important. Then the same questions related to Target. Not sure it is a realistic company comparison. But, interesting regardless.
Did anyone else get the survey?
Actually, a computer could be set up to allow a 24-period or whatever they want. Humans set up the midnight processing time, and it could easily be changed to be more customer-friendly. And the exact time of purchase is always recorded.
There’s an FTC rule of interest here: “The FTC’s Cooling-Off Rule gives you a 3-day right to cancel a sale made at your home, workplace or dormitory, or at a seller’s temporary location, like a hotel or motel room, convention center, fairground or restaurant. It also applies when you invite a salesperson to make a presentation in your home.”
Perhaps a good attorney could say this should also apply to online purchases made from one’s home. Of course, HSN has no special incentive to do this because some customers will just accept the order even if they don’t want it. Not me, however.
I think HSN has gone downhill since Mindy Grossman left. She took a somewhat dull shopping channel and turned it into a series of lovely, interesting boutiques. I remember how beautiful the sets were, with a different one for each vendor. That sells merchandise, it seems to me. Now they’re letting go of so many long-term brands, including some of their biggest sellers. This makes no sense to me unless they’re planning to close the place down.
Vendors who’ve left HSN and QVC should discuss forming a virtual home shopping marketplace and pooling their resources for advertising and other expenses. Their overhead would be much less than HSN’s. Lisa Robertson and some of the brands that have been dropped by HSN should explore this possibility. HSN should beg Mindy Grossman to do some consulting for them. She seems to be an excellent turnaround artist.
HSN regular shoppers are aware that you have to 11:59 p.m. to cancel an order. I personally don’t find this unreasonable.

It seems to me that allowing at least 24 hours on an order shouldn’t be a t=
errible inconvenience. Since the item I was purchasing wasn’t a daily speci=
al, I could have ordered it anytime. I don’t know of any other store where =
this would be the policy. I”m sure it’s more convenient for HSN to start ch=
arging your account immediately at midnight, but it really doesn’t give the=
customer any time to reconsider an order they might make late in the eveni=
ng. So beware of late-night orders, unless it’s after midnight!!
I believe HSN has always had a policy that an order can’t be cancelled after midnight of the day an item is ordered. That has been my experience.

Posted in Forum: Talk Among YourselvesI learned the hard way when I tried to cancel an order on the next morning, within 12 hours but in ANOTHER DAY. Although the computer I ordered wasn’t to be sent until fully 10 days later, somehow the wonderful system at HSN locks customers into orders they don’t want and they’ll have to return, I assume at their own expense. I don’t buy much from HSN and it will be even less in the future due to this ridiculous CUSTOMER UNFRIENDLY system.
Dooney and Bourke used to make a very wide range of really sharp looking, classic and modern, beautiful bags. I’m not liking what I’m seeing on Hsn. The bags look like typical old lady bags. U-G-L-Y.

I was hoping they would release prior to March 1. You can’t preorder at Provo Craft. I will buy this so I can use for vinyl. It has2 different mats but the “special” vinyl, labels, are for smaller area. I still want it. I am hoping HSN will have a package deal. I have only bought my Imagine with printer ink from HSN. There is a carrying case, too. I haven’t bought a machine since the Imagine is a no go basically. I bought my machine in 2008. I was using fabric then. I would like a deal for the machine, 2 mats, carrying tote, vinyl, & maybe instructions to use cartridges you own.
I guess we won’t get to order next week. I won’t purchase if the deal isn’t good. We know retail is $179 so I will be checking all the retail stores for pre order. I seriously doubt you will be able to get the first month or two anywhere. Unless on the secondary market for way too much money.
My other issue is Provo Craft claims there are no rules for NOT being allowed to use coupons. The retailers say it is Provo’s rule. So there is a lie in there.
I don’t want to mislead you in what I had said. I have, no, idea if Elysee will be coming back to HSN. As I had said before, the Elysee co has been sold and a newsletter stated that Linda will still be involved with the co. However, I have not been able to find out who bought the co. The fact that the new owners have not been advertising and sending out newsletters letting customers know what’s going on, tells me something is very wrong.
