I experienced a singing host, but it was on QVC with Kim Gravel. She was on last week with a plus sized African-American host. Sorry, I don’t know her name. Kim was talking about how she had to sing the national anthem, and she didn’t know the words. How embarrassing to admit that. She is very inappropriate. She was talking about how she P’d her pants. All of this while showing her line. I liked it much better when the TV hosts and the vendors were a little more serious. It was fun watching them trying to contain their composure when something funny happened. They didn’t goof around and act like teenagers.

Posted in Forum: Talk Among YourselvesI am so frustrated with trying to order personalized items from HSN. I have ordered two different items for a couple’s anniversary and both were wrong. Furthermore, when I tried to write a review – neither item’s link worked for “leave review”. I wondered why there were no reviews for either item and now I know why! I suspect they don’t want reviews. Perhaps there have been a large number of complaints on these particular items? Whatever the reason, the customer should have the right to leave an honest review and potential customers should be able to see reviews from previous purchases. I would never have ordered either item if I had known about the lack of quality assurance at HSN these days. It is a shame – this used to be a great company. In case anyone is curious, the two items were Item #134-3404, Circle Frame Black Wood Initial and Item #134-3249, Large Family Initial Personalized 16×16 Canvas.
I definitely purchase petites; I have to have petites and there are a lot of companies selling Petites at great prices. I own a lot of clothes, and most are not from HSN but I do have G’s petites some of them not all her Teddy Coats and her Jeans are great for me.
I would not have purchased anything from Megan Renee’s line; I found everything ugly & ill-fitting even on Sarah. I did not like her designs or the lack of quality. Another failure from HSN. They looked clownish like a lot of the clothing they sell on HSN.
They need to get some really good designers and like The Q have them make everything in Petite.
HSN has maybe 1 decent designer G, I would not say the best but very good. They don’t offer enough in petites and great basic contemporary fashion that is good for the everyday woman.
They definitely let anyone sell on their site and do not request anything from them like demanding what their customers want petites and quality and if you can’t deliver you can’t sell on HSN.
Andrew Roy Gibb (5 March 1958 – 10 March 1988). He was an English singer and musician. He rose to international fame in the late 1970s as a teen idol and pop star. The younger brother of Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb of the Bee Gees, Gibb achieved major success in close collaboration with his brothers. He was the first solo artist to have his first three singles reach number one on the US Billboard Hot 100.
Born in England and raised in Australia, Gibb began performing professionally in his teens before moving to the United States, where he signed with RSO Records. His debut album, Flowing Rivers (1977), produced three US number-one singles: “I Just Want to Be Your Everything,” “(Love Is) Thicker Than Water,” and “Shadow Dancing,” the last of which also topped charts internationally and became his signature song. His subsequent albums, Shadow Dancing (1978) and After Dark (1980), further cemented his popularity.
In the early 1980s, Gibb expanded into theater and television, starring in productions of The Pirates of Penzance (1981) and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (1982), and co-hosting the music show Solid Gold (1981–82). However, his career was disrupted by substance abuse and depression, leading to declining commercial success. In 1988, just days after his 30th birthday, Gibb died from myocarditis, exacerbated by years of drug use.
By late January to early February in 1988, Gibb had seemingly beaten his drug addiction, regained his health, and was ready to begin recording a new album; however, he still suffered depression over his break-up with Victoria Principal. According to Robin Gibb, his brother “just went downhill so fast… he was in a terrible state of depression”. During this period, Gibb slipped back into alcoholic habits, and was receiving phone calls from brothers Maurice and Barry in a last-ditch effort to get Gibb to stop. On 5 March 1988, Gibb celebrated his 30th birthday in London while working on the new album. Two days later, he entered John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford complaining of chest pains.
At around 8:30 am on 10 March 1988, Gibb’s doctor informed him more tests were needed to determine the cause of his chest pains. Shortly afterward, Gibb slumped into unconsciousness and died five days after his 30th birthday as a result of myocarditis, an inflammation of the heart muscle most likely caused by a virus. Years of cocaine use also weakened his heart. This diagnosis was supported by William Shell, a cardiologist who previously treated Gibb.
Upon the announcement of Gibb’s death, his ex-wife, Kim Reeder, was not surprised. “I always knew that one day I’d get a call with news like this. It was only a matter of time.” Gibb’s family said the cause of death was not an overdose, as some media reports suggested, but natural causes after years of substance abuse.[
NATIONAL PANCAKE DAY – IHOP
Every year at the end of February or beginning of March, National Pancake Day raises money for charity. IHOP restaurants began National Pancake Day in 2006. Since that day, they have raised close to $30 million for charities. People from around the country will once again celebrate enjoy free pancakes at IHOP Restaurants. Guests are asked to consider leaving a donation.
I am of mixed opinion on A L Supplements. I find many that do not list on their bottles what is in their products. Like the cholesterol lowering product, I needed to know what was in it exactly as I have food allergies. Couldn’t not and wasn’t going to call the company because I can buy other excellent brands with that information on their bottle. So… I don’t watch A L presentations as they seem slick and overly hyped, especially Adam presenting.

It’s too bad about all these large companies with huge financial issues.I baked some Salmon and then grilled it on my George Forman Grill. Hubs and son both liked it. I’m shocked. lol.

They aren’t long enough. I don’t like “the look”. I guess I’m suffering from childhood memories of being told “you’re wearing floods”, or “your flooding”. As if pants are short to keep the hems from getting wet in a flood. I’ll keep watching.-

Posted in Forum: BeautyI distinctly remember Liz telling us that she would never ever make a specific product for neck and dec. Well she isn’t being truthful cuz she has one. I really don’t trust her with my beauty products anyways. She doesn’t have any kind of schooling in skin care and comes off like she knows it all. Korres is a great brand and it still seems off to me how she represented them one minute and the next thing you know she has her own company. It’s our hard earned money and I refuse to give her a nickel of it. Sorry if I offend anyone but this is how this 65 year young lady feels.
On the product page is an instruction manual link which states : “To be used Microwaves up to 1200W power. Do not use at a power setting above 1200W.” This is stated numerous times.
Glad you read the instruction manual…could of been a fire hazard if you didn’t!
Hope others that also purchased this product do too.I’ve been burned so many times I now listen to what the presenters are NOT saying and then do my own research. So tired of all presenters not being transparent! Ugh.. Don’t get me started!

In the recipe book it states: “Lightly brush or spray the surfaces of the Grill Pan or the Patty/Egg Pan with cooking oil” . WHAT?………Didn’t I hear all day……. no oils, no fats, no butter?
Posted in Forum: Talk Among YourselvesPlease be aware you cannot use this product in microwaves over 1200w. A critical omission during presentations the day aired. Mine is 1400w. I would never have ordered if this had been mentioned by presenters. This is my second Kitchen HQ purchase. The rechargeable chopper I ordered only works half the time. This will be my last brand purchase. The product sold out. I wonder how many people can’t use and if you don’t read all the warning instructions you won’t know the wattage maximum.

Sheba, After she opened the bag I could see the color was dark and then I showed her the picture on my phone of what I bought. I have no idea what the pants size or style was as they were all folded up and I just wanted the sweater. I was really glad to have the error caught at the store. They don’t carry the item in the store so I would have to buy it on-line. She did tell me they will be getting better and more merchandise and the Store wont be closing as it is growing. 🙂 That was good news.
I’m trying to buy in person when I can because I want to see what I am buying. Then no returns so everyone is happy.
Where my Mother lived in AZ there were tons and tons of retail stores. We don’t have the same amount unless I travel north or south.

Good afternoon. It took 45 minutes to arrive home from the Rehab. I missed all the lights. One took 3 times to get through. I could not wait to get indoors. Sat on the bed and the next thing I knew it was 5am. So the computer was closed until now.
I ordered Sicilian eggplant as an appetizer last night from our favorite pizza place. I expected just a couple of slices, but No, it was in a huge aluminum pan with a cover. The bottom of that pan was hot hot hot. There were a couple of slices left when the aide came in to retrieve the dinner trays. She never asked if we were done with the food. She put it on the dinner cart and off she went. That will teach me to cover it up and put it with the tote that I use daily. Anyway, it was more than enough for two meals. And this was an appetizer. Both of us were astonished at the portion size, especially for an appetizer.
Yes, hubs ate a full dinner besides the appetizer. My, he has a good appetite. Dessert was applesauce in a hoodsie cup. And he still asked for cookies following. Last night I also ordered a grinder with sausage, cheese and peppers. I had a little this morning and will have the rest at dinner if I’m hungry. Since the fall, my appetite has gone downhill. I need to lose some weight, so am thankful that it is coming off. I need to start walking again, but the weather is still too cold here. Today it is in the 50s, but with the wind chill factor it feels like 35. Now will get ready to see hubs. Will do some food shopping tomorrow. The weather here is crazy. No wonder people are getting sick. Warm up is next week. Cold temps are on the horizon. So what else is new????
This clothing line is terrible as far as I’m concerned. I like Vivica but most people don’t prance around in their daily life wearing skintight garish looking clothes! The only outfit I almost liked was the black pant set even though the pants were too baggy. When Sara was on wearing the overly tight dress that she kept yanking on over and over, she just looked silly. Maybe she should have gone up a size!
