Can anybody that has been buying Heidi for years tell me if this is a legitimate pin that Heidi once made ?
I bought from eBay and it does not have her name but it looks as if name was removed. It looks like her work. Thank you . I’m going to try and attach a photo for the first time .
Heidi Girls, check out Saksofffifth. Some beautiful Heidi pretties at a fantastic price. Some are 70% off.
Sassygranny122, What happened with the pin? Did you contact the Ebay seller? Just curious if you got this resolved or if you decided to just enjoy the pin as is.
Heidi’s art work is unique. In my opinion, there is no mistaking the work of others for Heidi’s work. I have boxes and boxes (the big HSN shipping boxes) full of Heidi’s work. I store “suites” of her work based on “theme” in these boxes, because I do not have any more room for Colleen’s Prestige Jewelry boxes in my 6″ walk in closet. I have lost count of the pieces of Heidi “Art” that I have purchased. (Not bragging, just DELIGHTED TO OWN SO MANY PIECES OF MS. HEIDI’S WORK.) I can spot her work across the room. Several people have attempted to imitate her and with good reason….SHE IS THE BEST! Don’t worry, once you have been exposed to her work for a while, you will be able to spot the imitation from the real Heidi. Truly, no one produces the quality of Heidi jewelry but Ms. Heidi herself.
‘Off Park Jewelry’ is a brand sold at JTV. I have a few of their pieces and, while I can say that some of their themes run quite parallel to Heidi’s designs, there is absolutely no mistaking Off Park for Heidi… no way, no how!
‘SAKS OFF FIFTH’ is a legitimate retail outlet of SAKS 5TH AVE. As such, they only sell new Heidi Daus jewelry and, quite often, at a discounted price.
I have seen several Heidi Daus items on Ebay, admittedly I don’t buy her producst or even browse Ebay that often, but I did out of curiosity look them up because there are many people that do sell their jewelry on Ebay because they want to downsize their collections or just need the money. Even beauty products from HSN are also sold. However, I have always wondered how you could authenticate that it is genuine or a fake.
Just caught this Sassygranny I am so sorry you are going through this.
I own the Lamb Pin by Heidi Daus and I brought mine here on HSN.
I have post my own pictures of the Lamb Pin. I can post more if you want to see.
I saw that list for the Lamb Pin while just looking for things on Ebay.
Yes, I have brought hard to find or sold out pieces but I go to certain vendors.
People I have brought from for years. I always compare anything buy. I buy in suites
and sometimes once HSN runs out of a set that is it. I would check the feedbacks on a
seller and make sure you let them know you will leave a feedback.
I hope this pin is the real McCoy! My pin is somewhere on HSN that I took with my own
camera. Again, sorry this is happening to you. You are getting great advice from everyone.
sassy, i’m not sure about what name the ebay seller from which you purchased goes by;
however, please know that saks off fifth is the outlet store for the high-end department store,
saks fifth avenue- where a lot of heidi’s jewelry is sold.
also, in addition to saks, heidi’s jewelry is sold at other various locations/retailers such as the websites for again, saks and saks off fifth, amazon, etsy, ebay, heidi’s own website: heididausdesigns and right here on hsn.
please note that saks/saks off fifth, amazon, heidi’s website and hsn sell NEW hd jewelry.
i think a lot of the etsy and ebay pieces are sold more by individuals rather than a dept. store/online retailer.
these vendors may have new hd jewelry to sell or it may be used.
you are at the mercy of the vendor.
i hope that this helps.
also, lastly, i would take photos of the ballerina pin you bought and send them via computer or mail to heidi’s customer service department.
they will surely be able to tell you, free of cost, whether this is heidi’s original pin or not.
if it is not, it is even more important that heidi and her team know about this and from where and under what circumstances you purchased it because hd might have a trademark/copyright issue with this vendor selling couterfeit hd goods.
i suggest getting hd’s customer service information from hsn or from one of the heidi girls on community, perhaps even this thread.
regardless, good luck and take good care.
oh, sigh.. xoxo
There is a chance that this is a knock off. There is a company that plagarizes Heidi’s pins shamelessly. I think it’s called Off Park or Park Ave or something. I know that the dancer was one of the pins this company copied but hard to tell from the photo. Sorry this does not put you any closer to an answer.
I’ve been looking at that pin for 5 years. Why would someone remove her name?
The Pin has a name like Shall We Dance something like that.
I hope it is the real thing. ? It looks like a beautiful pin.
All the girls here are giving you excellent advice I just saw this thread.
I don’t know why the seller removed Heidi’s name. Maybe they bought it at one of the designer warehouses where they cut the label out of the clothes. In this case maybe they sanded Heidi’s name off the pin. Since her name is removed I can’t help but wonder if it is counterfeit. Did the listing state anything about Heidi’s stamp? Does it show in the picture? There is large resell market for Heidi’s items, but they drastically drop in value without her name on the back. To what extent you take this, if any, depends on the price you paid for the pin and if the seller was upfront about Heidi’ name being removed.
I bought a Heidi Daus item off Ebay and the item didn’t match the pictures. I contacted Heidi’s office 1-888-416-6004 and as usual, they were outstanding. I told them I bought the item on Ebay and we determined the item wasn’t properly cared for and couldn’t be salvaged. Susie at Heidi’s office is wonderful. I’d give her a call and tell her you bought it on Ebay. She might be able to tell you reasons why Heidi’s name was removed. To finish the story of my piece on Ebay, it was sold with no refunds. I got Ebay involved and the seller had to accept my return and refund all my money including postage.
I tried to save a few bucks and was disappointed. I will stick to finding good deals on Heidi’s Tuesday Treasures on her website.
The pin was sold on HSN. I think within the last couple years.
Is this it?
I did it . But I didn’t know how to make it smaller but at least you can see it. Thank you
Fairmaiden gave me all the details on how to post but I’m not even getting that information at the top of my screen to click on . so I’ll get out and keep trying
