Anybody else receive USED items from HSN?
Has anybody else ever received a used item / customer return from HSN? I just received a pair of slippers, and they are clearly well-worn and used! The bottoms of them are filthy and dirty! And they didn’t have any tags on them either. If that wasn’t bad enough, they were covered in dog fur. Anybody else ever get sent items like that before? I’m really upset and grossed out by that!!

I just received clothing for HSN it appears to be used it is so upsetting because I didn’t pay a used price. I will wash it and see how it turns out. In the past I purchased items stating new and a month or two goes by and when I look up the older order it will state AS IS which it never stated upon ordering or check out AT ALL! Maybe by law they have to show it at some point how about before the purchase I just think that is very sneaky.
My item arrived dirty and wrinkled!-
I will be glad to help with this order, @angie0215? I’m sorry that happened. We obviously don’t want to send out used items, but I will notify the warehouse as well. Can you advise which item on your account so that I can waive return shipping in case you need to send it back?

Shawn thank you for reaching out. I am going to wash it first to see how it turns out once it is washed, I will decide if I will decide whether I will keep it or not.
If I decide to return it, I will contact customer service and ask not to be charged return shipping.
Thank you again.

I received a pair of Birkenstock sandals that were obviously returns: the box was torn and the
shoes were not wrapped. I decided to keep them because they fit. However, when I attempted to wear them there was something in the structure that hurt my feet. This is probably why
they were returned. i also returned them. -
I’m sorry for the condition you received these sandals in @princessnow. I checked on the order and documented the condition as well as waived return shipping. I hope all future orders are perfect.

yes more then once. HSN just received my return yesterday on kitchen HQ Santoku knives they were used and returned yesterday. I’m not ordering anything from them anymore.

Hi @paula595, @kjwest. I’m truly sorry you received your orders arrived in that condition, it’s not what you should expect. I’ve waived the EZ Return Label cost for your order(s), so you can send them back at no charge. We would never expect you to pay to return an item that’s damaged or appears used. These concerns brought up are alarming to us and have been shared with our leadership team, as feedback like yours helps us improve our processes. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. For faster service here in the Community, you can post in the Customer Service forum which we check more frequently than other forums.

Yes definitely. I am glad it isn’t that often. HSN says it doesn’t sell returns unless marked as is but that is not the case.
Also, I have ordered an item stating it is new not marked as is but after I place the order & it is delivered it will show up as is for the completed purchase.
I thought I was losing it, but it happened twice because I never order anything as is yet after it has arrived and I go back to look at the order it will state an as is purchase.
I think that is really sneaky. -
Yes. I have received so many worn and used clothing with stains and smells as if they came from a thrift store. It seems as if you don’t order items when they are first aired on HSN, then you’ll end up with other people returns. Sometimes if I really want the item, I’ll just wash it and use Dawn dish detergent to remove the stains. There is not a lot of new clothing items on HSN and most of the clothing they have just don’t look like nothing that anybody would wear. They really need some new brand names, especially since Antthony and Iman is gone. I really miss them. I have started buying clothing off of Poshmark and eBay…the same clothing that HSN have and they are way cheaper and does not have stains and smells even they are used clothing. Most of the time, the clothing is new with tags. “HSN, step up your game!”

Just a follow up to this post: I unfortunately have received so many used items over the years! From the slippers posted above, that arrived covered in dog fur, scuffed up and dirty bottoms. To sheets that arrived full of someone’s hair (long stands of hair), full of snags, and sunflower seeds. Like someone was eating sunflower seeds in bed before they decided to return their unwashed sheets back to HSN. It was just such an odd thing to find! I’m still stumped by that one. And to top it off I had a pair of Bearpaw boots arrived clearly used. They had pebbles / rocks stuck in the bottoms of them, again dog fur on them and the grossest thing dog poop on the bottoms! As soon as I opened the box I got hit with that unpleasant odor. I’m just baffled at how some items get shipped out. Like does no one look at them before they are shipped out. I love shopping HSN and have purchased uncountable items over the years. But some items that I have gotten were just deplorable.

Yes just recently ordered a pair of “NEW” Birkenstock sandals. The first clue for me was that they arrived in a white generic shoe box. When I opened up the box they had imprints of someone else’s feet that obviously wore them. I paid well over $100 and was totally disgusted when they were sold new and not “AS IS”. Not fair and not happy at all.

I have received new Birks and Minnetonka in white boxes, so it’s not the box’s fault.

I recently ordered a NEW beautiful top that has balloon sleeves with lace inset in the sleeves. I ordered it in black. However, on arrival, i opened the package, and it clearly was a used top because it has what looks like dandruff on it and what looks like dog hair. I do not own any pets and i DONT have dandruff!! Plus, there was a snag in one of the lace inserts. Its extremely insulting that HSN charges a customer to return a damaged/used item.

For the THIRD time I have received items that have been used! One, a pair of boots, no tissue, no shape keepers and worn on bottom
Second, a top that was in such bad shape I was afraid to touch it. It had been returned in a ziplock bag. The third was a pair of sandals, again rumpled up tissue paper in box, bottom of sandals showed they had been worn! I guess these days if you buy something on sale you better be aware it might be used. NEVER had this problem until this year. I am a 24 hr. caregiver and cannot leave the patient to return things! Wasted my money!! -
When I order clothes from a recent show, they seem to be fine. But if I go back to order something that might have caught my eye that hasn’t been aired for a while, Yes! Most of the time it has been used, stained, missing parts, seams falling apart, loose threading, and not sure how they missed some of these imperfections before re-packaging and shipping it out.

Hasn’t happened to me at hsn yet, but I’ve pretty much stopped shopping at QVC for that reason. I ordered 5 clothing items recently and 4 were returns. Heavy perfume, hair, one looked (and smelled) like somebody washed it, rolled it up in a ball damp, and stuffed it in a bag that was too small. One shirt still had the long sleeves somebody had rolled up. (Not the roll-tab type). These were not as-is. About done with that kind of service.

Don’t they have an entire sub-category of merchandise labeled “as is” which are returned items being sold at a discounted price? Seems like many of the posters in this thread may have purchased those items
