Please HelpWith Suggestions Laptop Computer :On Last Legs-Hope it lasts long enough to finish post.
Hi. New here. Could really use some help. I need a 15" Computer. I type on an old-fashioned (Raised Keyboard) Laptop Computer. Can someone please recommend a Good Computer with a Similar Keyboard. A Good Computer with Good Customer Support that you don’t have to wait an hr. to talk to. Anything but Apple or Dell. They are both Too high for my budget. Computer and model suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thank you very much in advance.
you might also add, tech support that you can understand and speaks your language!
To those of you that purchase an HP product that has the customer service where they go on your computer and take over the process for you, they did that on my computer, then instead of the tech doing an update, they did a system restore, this deleted any and all items, programs, music and etc that I had downloaded on my computer, it also deleted my outlook, and since it was downloaded at the mgf and came on the computer when purchased it, they would could not get the outlook. they indicate that I had to contact where I purchased it and get a new code and download it myself. So even though sometimes it is easier for HP tech to take over your computer and try and fix it, it is not always the best. I even contacted HP corp office, and it has been over a year and I am still have a computer that does not work right and is missing programs. HP corp does not care about what happened. One blames it on another and then another and no one takes care of anything. I like the HP products, but the Tech service is not so helpful.
There are SO many choices when it comes to choosing a computer. HSN doesn’t even scratch the surface of all the options you can get.
What you need to do is go to one of the big box stores, where they have out dozens of different styles and options…and just explore. THEN go on-line and do some research for a system that suits your needs to get the best price. HSN does NOT have the best prices on computers…but they lure you in with flex pays, and bundled stuff…stuff that you’ll probably never use.
My personal recommendation is a Lenovo or HP. If you can afford it a solid state drive is much faster than a hard drive, although you do get less space, for a casual user, you won’t notice a difference.
jodibear, I can’t help you with a suggestion as I’ve never seen any laptops with a raised keyboard. But I would recommend that you post your question on the Electronics Forum. You can find it on the Community Forums on the left side where they list all of the different Forums. Someone may discover your post here, but I think that you might find more people who can answer your question on the Electronics section.
