Question re: Andrew’s Marine Collagen Peptides
I was wishing that Andrew would talk more about the marine collagen peptides. I wonder if it would really help with joints. I am past age 65 and don’t know if it is too late for me or not. I would like to know if anyone has had experience with this product. I have read the reviews, but would like to hear from anyone who has been taking it regularly up to now. I’m just not sure whether to go with the bundle on the TS. Thanks for any help, including any pros and cons that helped you decide what to order.
I put a little cold water in my glass & stir while pouring some of the scoop into the glass, then I add a little more water & continue the same process until I have all the scoop in. I have experienced the little clumps, if I do not do it this way. The key is to keep stirring the whole time. I add more water as it thickens, when I’m finished I top of any more water if needed to get the glass full (8oz) & I do not have any clumps.
I first purchased the Marine Collagen earlier this year and wanted it specifically for joint issues. I take Andrew’s Glucosamine and have for years but I am starting to have issues with arthritis in my fingers and I am delighted to say that the Marine Collagen seems to be helping. The inflammation has not disappeared but my fingers aren’t getting any worse and they are not painful. I trust Andrew and have not regreted ordering this product. It does not dissolve, but so what. It has no taste and it’s not difficult to drink.
This was my chat with Procaps regarding the question about the Marine Collagen source. Hopefully I am not doing anything wrong. I took out the name of the rep in the chat. I am sure HSN will take it off or out if it is not ok.
: Hello how may I help you?
: People on the HSN community are saying your Marine Collagen is from Farmed Tilapia from China is that true? This past weekend Andrew said farmed fish isn’t good for you.
: Our raw materials are certified to be from farm-raised sources and are considered to be from sustained fish source. I believe he prefers to eat wild caught fish. For this supplement, we use farm-raised fish because it helps us to control the quality of the fish in the supplement. He has not told us where the fish is from. It could be sourced from any country. Our vendors test the raw material before we receive it and we test the product before, during, and after manufacturing to ensure safety and purity.
Can I write on the HSN Community board that Pro Caps what you just said, ie quote you?
: If you’d like to pass this on, you may. This is the information given by the research department.
: Thank you
: You’re very welcome, I think it’s great that you are careful with the sourcing of your supplements.
: Thanks for chatting with Procaps Labs.
I bought the Marine Collagen when it first came out…before I did my resarch on Talapia and that over 90% of it comes from China and is farmed and very questionable about what they feed this so called fish! Heard very interesting story on NPR and this fish came about because people wanted a fish that didn’t smell or taste like fish!
I tossed my container as it was past the 30 day return policy, lesson learned!
I have bought many of Andrew’s supplements, but this product is NOT up to his standards and I hope he realizes this, reminds me of the artfical sweetner he puts in the Secure protein powder…NOT good business for a man that does so many things right.
I really wanted to order the Marine Collagen but when I watched the presentation at midnight when Andrew and Colleen mixed it – there were lumps on the top. Many reviews said it mixed poorly. It reminded me of powdered fiber supplements lol, They did keep saying you could put it into smoothies and you’d never notice it – I suppose the blender would puverize the chunks but I don’t personally make smoothies – too many calories for me.
I find that when Andrew has a TS bundle he spends most of the time promoting the TS and not enough time taking about the other item in the bundle. I look forward to the day that the Marine Collagen is available in a capsule. Then I’ll prob try it. I am also interested in the positive joint effects as an active almost 62 year old woman 🙂
