1. No, Amy, you can’t get the coupon instantly. Search the threads. At any given time, someone is always complaining that they are still waiting to get their coupon emailed to them.
2. You can NEVER use a coupon on a Today’s Special.

Thank you ?. I tell you, customers expect you to be a designer. We don’t know the customer’s taste. I had one customer who couldn’t decide what color sweater she wanted, and the colors were running out. When she finally decided, it sold out. She was pretty PO’d and cussed me out. I mean really…know your size and the color you want before you call. The rep does not know how you look and what’s going to look good on you.
I don’t know about HSN, but the other shopping channel allows their reps to work from home. Here in SA, I wouldn’t say 99% work from home. The parking lot is packed amost any given time. It’s also hard for the supervisors to monitor their employees. At the call center, you are monitored.
When I quit my position, I recomended that the hosts and vendors get briefed on how much the telephone reps really know. I roll my eyes when I hear a host say ask your rep about blah blah blah. As I mentioned earlier, some long time reps really know their stuff, but there are those employees who just need a job. You also have to be very proficient on the computer because there are lots of screens you have to know.
Not a fan of Amy, but in her defense, a lot of the hosts are not aware of the rules and stuff that goes on in the background. Their job is to sell.
I worked for the other shopping channel, and you would be amazed! Hosts advise their customers to ask the telephone reps this or that. While long-time reps probably know more than the TV hosts, many of them are college students or single moms just trying to make ends meet. They don’t know a moleskin jacket if it hit them in the face! There is a lot of turnover because the job is demanding. You’re on the phone continuously. Dealing with customers is difficult. I got cussed at, hung up on, you name it! Customers even called just to shoot the breeze! All this while you are being monitored by the supervisors.
Customers assume that the telephone reps are right there in front of what’s going on. I had people call and tell me that they ordered a jacket 2 weeks ago and want to know if it matches the slacks that the host is wearing right now. Seriously? There are monitors, but not right there in front of you. Plus, you have to go to the host page and look under “specs” to find what the host is wearing. If you are not quick enough, you get written up.
So please folks, if you’re calling your order in, please be patient with the rep and cut the hosts some slack. If they are incorrect, I’m sure someone in their ear will let them know.

Today I asked for a broad spectrum SPF that can applied over a finished face throughout the day, like Coola’s makeup setting spray. HSN really needs to carry something to do SPF touchups. The powders I have from here do not have SPF.
what i find annoying is i went to order some Marilyn Miglin when i clicked on the video it was $40 cheaper and it was NOT a todays special…why would i pay $40 more now? the other video for a different configuration was $30 more HSN you should honor the price on the video as long as it was not a todays special

I am still waiting for mine and it has been weeks. Yet it continues to pop up and prompt me to sign up for email option. I continue to do so and it stills prompts me. This is aggravating, I will be in the middle of shopping for something, and it pops up again. Its not worth the 15% off.
I find her totally ridiculous and very unprofessional !! I cannot stand to watch her anymore. When she opens her mouth she inserts both feet !! Like I have said before, people get waaaaaay to comfortable with things and situations, if allowed !! JMO.
I’ve noticed every single product she talks about, she makes a point of saying, “This is the only product I trust/use!” This is ludicrous, it’s like she thinks viewers won’t remember or that people are that gullible. I just roll my eyes and can’t help laughing at her on air commentary! If she really is using every single product from each vendor, then her home must be like a warehouse….Lmao! I will say this though, “Never a dull moment while she’s hosting. “
I think Amy needs to get off selling beauty products only and go back to selling clothing, etc. as she seems overwhelmed and confused with all the different makeup brands that HSN sells. How many brands can you say are the greatest? Amy did well with clothing.:womanwink:
On Sunday she said that Michael Todd was coming on Thursday with a new Clarisonic. What????? I’m sure she is very nice but she needs to watch what she is saying. One week she uses this eye cream and one week she uses that eye cream and actually it seems that she uses every thing that is presented. Not enough time in the day to use all those products. Maybe she thinks we don’t pay attention.

HSN does not listen! I do not watch anymore, especially the so called beauty report!! I buy online which is sad, as I used to love to watch the shows!!! Amy is getting to be a joke! If I want to know the research behind a product, I find it out myself!!! She says anything just to sell, as MOST of them do!! Hosts need to do their research, not just read off of their assigned info cards!!! She comes off so very ignorant to sooo many things, and this is not knocking someone, it is a fact!! Sorry for the negativity and truth. Hope everyone has a great day!!

Whoops she said it again during the Lancome Today’s Special, that if you apply for an HSN card you can immediately use it for the Lancome Special. No, you can never use a coupon on a Today’s Special, and when I got my HSN card I never got my coupon. Customer service did set me up though, and I got my discount.
