Absolutely WORST customer service i have EVER dealt with! Spent half an hour on hold to order an item that was listed as not being able to be purchased online. When I finally got someone on the line i went through everything and she refused to proceed without me finding the item number and yet she had no idea where I could locate an order number. Once we had that settled she advised me to hold off on ordering the item I wanted because it was almost a $300 item she said I should sign up for emails and i would get a coupon for 15% off. She knew exactly what item I wanted to order, had the item number and everything. I got off the phone, signed up for the code and waited for my email, once i received the code i attempted to use it on their site and it would not work. I attempted several times then decided to call. This time I was on hold for 1 hour and 49 minutes. The woman who finally picked up the phone was beligerently nasty from the second she got on the line. I explained the problem and she said, well you didnt read the coupon exceptions then! At this point i was at the end of my rope and yet still was able to be nicer and more pleasant than the customer service rep from hsn. She heavily sighed when I told her I wanted her to try it and said ‘my computers no different than yours, if it doesn’t work for you it obviously wont work for me’. I questioned why another representative would TELL me to sign up for a discount if I couldn’t use it, she says ‘i obviously wouldn’t know that’. Eventually she went through the order and tells me that I cant use the code for this order because its only for future orders. Obviously I was aggravated at this point seeing as i could have ordered the item nearly three hours prior without this aggravation and I’m completely confused as to why the first rep would tell me to cancel my order and sign up for a coupon i couldnt use! The rep i’m speaking to begins to seemingly get annoyed and says ‘well would you like to order or not’? I said is there a way you can honor the 15% off coupon and she heaves again and almost shouts ‘we just went over this, you cannot use that code for this order’.
After this experience I will NEVER use HSN for any of my shopping needs, truly despicable!Posted in Forum: Talk Among YourselvesI have noticed in the past others have voiced a shared frustration with the HSN website. Just an FYI I requested on COMMUNITY CUSTOMER SERVICE:
I have a suggestion to improve your website. This improvement would speed up the online shopping experience and decrease customer frustrations. Amazon has this option when browsing lists of items. Please add the option to display only items that are currently in stock. Below I have displayed how Amazon provides the option to customers. If the customer x’s the box, they display currently out of stock items.
Thx.AMAZON:

x Include Out of StockPosted in Forum: Customer ServiceSo, today, with the morning off from work, I decided to take a look at the items available from Joan Boyce. Since she’s leaving, I figured there might be some good deals, so I selected the option to sort the items from the lowest price to highest. What a mess, it’s so distracting and not fun at all having to look through all the “As is” and “Sold Out” items – so I didn’t continue, and likely won’t be purchasing anything today.
I have absolutely no interest in “As is” items; if I wanted something used, I’d go to a local garage sale. And if it is “Sold Out”, I don’t want to look at it either, if the intention is that I am going to mark something as a favorite and hope it may appear again, that’s just not going to happen – there’s a whole big world out there and if I want something I can usually find it – or something comparable immediately elsewhere. HSN might find it helpful to have these sold out items marked as favorites, but I am just not willing to spend my time making that effort.
It would really improve the online shopping experience if there were options that allow users to select whether they want to view “As is” and “Sold out” items. That’s part of what people value about shopping online, the ability to search specifically for what they want. There is a checkbox to select to show only “As is”; it would be great to have a checkbox added for “Hide As is and Sold Out”.
Posted in Forum: Talk Among YourselvesQVC/HSN need to make changes now or find themselves out of business. Price on products and shipping/handling have risen dramatically. This makes easy pay no longer attractive. Takes too long to receive items ordered and tracking is useless since shipping status is not updated on weekends. The hosts are terrible. Some of them talk incessantly about themselves. Others are ridiculous in their characterizations (scrub daddy and extraordinary should never be used in the same sentence). And what’s up with dark haired hosts going blond? Not a good look. I’m over celebrities selling clothes and shoes. How much money do they need!
Posted in Forum: FashionWith Iman and Joy Mangano gone from HSN, this shopping channel has sunk to a new low. How many household gadgets and how much kitchen equipment can one person use? No longer interested in HSN or QVC. My catalogs offer beautiful fashions that are so easy to mix and match even with shoes or jewelry, and I am switching to catalog buying online – easy monthly payments be damned. That’s just a con to make you spend more than you are aware you are spending.
