Yes, @lucy822, each order should contain a red activation card. The instructions are as follows:
To Activate follow the steps below:
Open your phone package.
Find the Red Activation Card that says START HERE, you will need your phone’s Serial Number which is written inside the white box as it is required for activation.
You do not need to provide a Service Plan PIN during Activation. Your initial Service Plan PIN comes bundled with your phone and will be automatically added during the activation process.
Go to Activate.Tracfone.com or call this exclusive number, 1-800-816-0663.
If you are a current Tracfone customer upgrading to a new phone, you will be able to transfer your service and airtime balance to your new phone. (Safelink customers cannot upgrade or transfer service to this phone)

You are correct. The customer service is awful. HSN should not be selling their phones or allowing them airtime. I originally had a TracFone that I purchased from HSN where HSN aired triple minutes. A couple years later purchased another phone to replace the one I had and as long as you kept the same number you continued to receive the triple minutes. HSN did not state that when airing, but it was on the card they displayed on air. The last 4 days I have not been able to make or receive calls and no help from tracphone after being on the phone with them for hours. Called HSN and from the response I received they knew tracphone was phasing the triple minutes out regardless if you had that triple minute extra. Both tracphone and HSN are for the bait and switch. Please pass the word on that HSN is really declining. First time I ever had to contact them over many years of purchasing from them for so called bundles they you cannot receive anywhere else and clearly they do not care.
