  • Could hosts please mention sizes worn on models
    • angie0215

Exactly, I think HSN has the worst hosts they talk too much and say absolutely nothing. They are annoying but HSN as far as I’m concerned, their products aren’t really worth talking about they should always mention sizing of models.
They primarily only have one size model anyway unlike QVC that represents Regular Petites and Tall.
HSN has the regular and tall models they do not need petite women except for an occasional petite TSV.
They really need to up their hosts, vendors, sizing and models. They need to offer Quality, Value and good customer care. Their phone customer care is very good but their customer care as far as offering what we want is another story.
    Always a huge disappointment.
I can’t wait to read the reviews on yesterday’s TSV 4/14/26 London Fogs cheap looking bag. Shoppers who shop at the dollar stores, they will probably be impressed so maybe that is who HSN is targeting for customers.

    New Hosts' "report cards"

A large part of how long hosts stay also has to do with how well and mostly how much they sell during their presentations. This information is tracked by the parent company. If they do not perform up to par or sell as the Co wants, their contract is either not renewed or negotiated down ($$$) for an additional time period to give them the opportunity to improve such. If they don’t, their contract is not renewed. You also have some that think they’re worth more than the CO wants to pay them. If they don’t compromise, they’re gone too. Look at Shawn K on QVC. Since she’s been a front line host, she’s brought in expensive companies that she personally buys or is friends with. Ex. Barefoot Dreams, R Minkoff. She doesn’t mind telling you she loves London and brands from London. If you watch her shows, you’ll see most of the items she presents are high dollar or Shawn K X (by) ???. I’m happy for her that she can afford expensive taste, but QVC is supposed to mean Quality, Value and Convenience.

Gaack.! When I finally checked on the Synchrony B ank interest rates I was mortified. I know The Feds set rates, banks comply, companies’ contract with banks , and voila, the consumer gets stuck. Now, to beat them at their own game, I do balance transfers to cards offering 0% interest for 12-18- months and find it’s worth the 3-4-5% fee to make those transfers. IYou can save gobs of money with a balance transfer if you purchase items on the HSN or QVC credit cards. The rates are obnoxious. and insulting. Especially when hosts have to encourage customers to apply for the cards and make us feel like it’s a good thing. Extra easy pays, for example.
I don’t get out to shop at local stores, and unfortunately am a sucker for a good product , so I am guilty of shopping online… probably too much.

    Shipping Cost for Clothing

I fully concur. For 5-6 months, HSN had free shipping on orders $75+, a very reasonable threshold in my opinion. They also capped shipping at $5 or $6 if you weren’t going to hit $75, another provision I thought imminently reasonable.

Now, shipping charges are back and more evil than ever! I had several clearance items in my bag, sale items too, and though the total of my merchandise was less than $200, the shipping charge was over $40! I’m sorry, I won’t pay 20% of my order as shipping, it’s unacceptable.

I wrote to them, mail, and posted on Twitter and Facebook, but nothing from HSN. I hope anyone reading about this may post online or here, or even call HSN. Sure, emptying a shopping cart and NEVER purchasing those items gets noticed, but I think calls and especially social media posts are noticed much more.

Today while Jay King is on, I found a clearance item which lowered the shipping to $3.50. While I’d like to order more, the shipping gets prohibitive, but I am not on a TOTAL BOYCOTT. I think $3.50 is within reason ordering an item under $70 that was over $140.

I point out to HSN, however, that major online competitors like Amazon, Walmart, JTV, the USMint, online coin dealers, QVC (owned by the same company as HSN) has free shipping as well, the limit is on auto-ship orders which only get Free Shipping on the first shipment, then for vitamins and so forth, so far Lessman appearances have had free shipping, but for the record, so does CVS, RiteAid and Walgreens, with varied minimum orders but no more than $50,

HSN IF YOU ARE READING: If $75 wasn’t too low for you, have you considered $100? It’s common for many sellers of collectibles or online jewelers, in the US and abroad.

Might you also not consider perhaps TIERED shipping, maybe up orders of $50 for $5, orders $75 about $7.50, and then cap the shipping at $10 for orders of $100+? I’m not saying it’s the best for you or your customers, BUT might be doable? I had items over $200 that you didn’t sell because I refused to pay the $40+ shipping for items that weigh a few ounces. Maybe $10 is worth a $200+ sale? I might bite that bullet.

I’ll be curious if anyone has creative shipping fees.

    Cheers.

    Prices change after placing order

Has anyone else had the problem of placing orders and the price changes next day in your account? I can’t guess how many times the actual order amount has changed hours after placing order and also host saying if you have their card you’ll get additional discount

Most recently I placed order for $100 boots using code listed at top of page – 20% off single item. Amount came up correct and I placed order. The “It’s Yours” came up and the discount was gone, amount was $20 higher than seconds before. I immediately canceled order. Tried again and this time total came up correct. Checked back few hours later and it was still correct. Just checked again and discount was gone, order is $20 too high and it’s too late to cancel. Will call tomorrow but I’m sitting here totally @#%& off at HSN. (They edited my remarks, but you get the idea!

Last week ordered a beautiful labradorite ring. Host said if you used your HSN card price would go down further to $105. Discount didn’t show but guests arrived at that moment so I was going to check back and cancel order if wrong. Got busy and forgot until next day and it was too late to cancel. Ring was beautiful but I couldn’t forget their deception/error so instead of calling customer service, trying to prove host had made offer (that had happened before too; CS said they couldn’t confirm host remarks even after I told them time of show, etc) I returned ring after receiving, even with the shipping cost.

Before that ordered some beauty products on special reduced prices. Discounts were small, just $3, but again order was correct at first, but next day prices had changed. Too late to cancel, so I called CS. They had no idea what I was talking about and I couldn’t prove order had changed after it was placed. I could tell they didn’t believe me which only makes it worse.

I’m disabled and do all my shopping online. I’ve bought way too much from HSN and QVC but that is only way I have to purchase clothing, shoes, beauty products, etc. I’ve almost quit watching the shows but occasionally I’m still tempted.

I was wondering if anyone else has noticed the prices changing after placing order. Other than taking screenshots each time and then spending more time than it’s worth arguing with CS, the only other option is to stop shopping with them completely;. . . I have started shopping with Amazon a whole lot more than I used too. With Amazon’s free returns and instant refunds (versus HSN/QVC 4-6 weeks) I might see if I can just block those channels

    Slinky Brand

Cleaning my closet out and ran across a ton of Slinky Brand clothes. Haven’t bought much lately since not in the office but darn miss the option of being able to buy. What are the HSN buyers thinking? We are all going g to jump to QVCs high priced SG, WIC, brands. Not worth the money these days. Loving Amazon more & more.

    TWEAKD PRODUCTS

I feel the same way. I bought the volumizing shampoo and conditioner. But I have no clue
why there are so many different products and there isn’t any clear indication about what is
most appropriate for your particular hair type. I have thin, grey, hair that would curl if products
weren’t weighing down my hair. I had days where my hair was flat and dry (no curl) and other
days where I had curl but it turned into frizz. In order to remove products from my hair, I often
just use an all natural clarifying shampoo….one without parabens and harsh detergents. Then
the Tweak’d products work better. What I’ve also learned and didn’t read right away was to leave
the volumizing conditioner on my wet hair for at least 3 minutes. When I didn’t do that, my
hair was dry looking. When I get into the shower, I quickly wash my hair, then put on enough
conditioner so my hair feels creamy…Sometimes I need as much as a ping pong ball’s worth…
The longer i leave the conditioner on my hair, the more moisture my hair absorbs. When I
rinse, I do it quickly so I wash most of it off, but not to the point of having squeaky hair. I wish
they would have a model on the show (as they do with WEN products) and show application,
the correct amount of product to use for your length of hair. Given that HSN and QVC are
shows that are so visual, if the presentation isn’t very specific and very clearly resonating with
a viewer, they won’t purchase the product. I was on the fence for a very long time before I
bought Tweak’d….I am still using it after 8 months. But I had to experiment over and over again
as there seems to be a learning curve. People love it and many people have hated it….saying
their hair was dry and fly away. That’s my experience when I don’t use enough conditioner or leave
it on long enough. And the conditioner is so darned thick, why is it in a bottle instead of a large
    tube?

Saying Goodbye to Crafts on HSN?

QVC doesn’t own HSN. They are both owned by the same ‘parent’ company. It is only your opinion that they won’t bring back $5 shipping and so are all of your other predictions. Whether they do or not is immaterial to me because they have already killed off whatever interest I used to have in their craft days and have permanently lost me as a customer. Their prices are already higher than elsewhere, and there is nothing special about buying from them and no reason to do so when the shippng cost of most craft items is $5.50 and $3.50 is the minimum. Their words of how much they care and appreciate their customers are worthless in view of their opposite actions. I’m done with them.

I use to be an avid HSN shopper and purchased many items from Joy Magano and Iman, even handbags from Sharif while he was alive and featured on HSN. QVC has frumpy clothes and boring accessories which seemed more overpriced then HSN items. Stopped shopping on HSN when I no longer recognized the designers. The platform for selling items via on air talk hosts is fading out. Younger generations don’t have time nor interest to sit and listen to endless descriptions of items on their tv or even on Ipads, phones, etc. It’s become so trendy to buy used and save $ because consumers are being inundated with so many outrageous fees on credit card interest rates of which HSN has one of the highest via Synchronicity. The convenience of spreading out payments to purchase more expensive items just isn’t worth it. HSN/QVC have too much competition. My favorite brands such as Bzees or Clarks shoes are sold on other sites which offer constant discounts. HSN offers minimal discounts and always on non clearance items. Don’t waste your $ on HSN/QVC, or comparison shop before buying on HSN.
