If you have not already received a letter from Synchrony Bank you should be receiving one very shortly. Effective July 11,2024 anyone who receives a monthly paper statement will be charged $1.99.
I believe this is outrageous! NO other credit card company I have charges me a fee to receive paper statements.
Below are some of the reasons why I strongly encourage EVERYONE to contact HSN and QVC and make your voice heard. I myself spoke with a supervisor for over 20 minutes yesterday. I also requested since the telephone calls are recorded to have the senior management staff listen to it.
1) You are locked into paying a monthly charge for an extended time if you use up to 5 flex pays with any coupons or offers for discounts. The offers/coupons require that you put the payment on the HSN/QVC card to be entitled to them.
2) If Synchrony Bank is allowed to get away with this, I assure you other credit card companies will soon follow suit.
3) If you are reading this then you have access to a computer and email. But assist those who are customers of HSN/QVC who are not as tech savvy or have access to the internet. They NEED our help.
4) I use the convenience of a paper statement to keep accurate track of the due dates for credit card payments. The late fees will be raised up to a maximum of $41 and interest rates of 34.99%. Can anyone afford this? With receiving over 300 emails per day, the email giving me my statement may get overlooked.
Now is the time to make your voice heard before it is too late!
Sincerely,
BrendaPosted in Forum: Customer ServiceClosed credit cards synchrony bank did the same thing to me I was paid my payments on time I’ve received I open the cards like maybe a year and a half ago to two years and then on my QVC card they just went out and closed it out from under me didn’t even let me know I didn’t get a letter to like two weeks later saying they were closing it and then They lowered my HSN credit so anyway I am I’m paying them off and I’m not ever going to use them again I was never late on my payments and I think I was late once but it wasn’t even 30 days late so it’s bad business.
Posted in Forum: Talk Among YourselvesI’ve had my HSN card now for over 4 years. I’ve spent multiple thousands of dollars with HSN. I have autopay set up but last month, for some reason didn’t go through so I made a single payment and thought everything was fine. I then received 2 letters from synchrony bank. One dates 5/25 informing me that the autopay payment didn’t go through and a second dated 5/27 informing me that they closed my account due to too many declined payments. Never in the 4 yrs I’ve had the card, have I had any other declined payments. They are always on time and payments are way more than the minimum amount due. I called and they couldn’t figure out why it was closed but said I need to make another payment and maybe when it posts, I can call back and they might reopen it. It’s already negatively showing up on my credit report as being closed by the creditor and I’ve been working so hard to get my credit to the point that it is now so I’m just angry. What is going on with this company? Is this the new norm now that they are under QVC?
Posted in Forum: Talk Among YourselvesSince there have been so many problems with this bank, maybe everyone should get together (there is a name for it, but I can’t remember what it is right now.) and sue Synchrony Bank, just make sure you have your statements, dates they charge you late fees. What the lawyers will do is contact everyone that had/has an account Do it as a group, then one person doesn’t have to pay the lawyers, make them pay the lawyers fee. You will get your late fees back plus some. This bank is not the nicest bank to deal with. Also, if everyone could pull their account and transfer their balances to another credit card, then HSN/QVC would have to change their banks again. Of course, those who can not do this, we are the ones that are stuck and have to abide by their rules. This way Synchrony will not be getting the interest. Good luck everyone. So, far I haven’t had any trouble with them, but will be watching my account very carefully. I am sure they have someone reading this post. Saying what I have suggested I wouldn’t be surprised if they cancel my account.
