Hi @skingirl13, I’m hoping you’re enjoying the new year so far. I’m not that active in the community or any form of social media these days. Life’s been a bit busy the past few weeks as I’ve been working on a few backup plans in case I’m one of the “lucky” ones released after a long and painful merger of two large companies. Got many irons in the fire and I plan to rise up like a phoenix rather than curl up in despair like some of my coworkers.

Hmmm. It wasn’t in the plans of Joy, She was sidewiped.
They dropped Her unceremoniously because of the bottom line.
Her mini factory and staff cost Hsn too much after the merger.
She’s a casualty of costs and benefits.
The HSN Guy who bought QVC did so out of pure fear!
AMAZON was going to buy QVC, that’s what was in the pipeline.
And To keep out this scary manmouth out of squashing HSN or QVC and prevent AMAZON get a competing up and running tv shopping market,
HSN GUY bought QVC to save his skin…and kill the competition.JOY MANGANO was HSN and vice versa.
They were a symbiotic brand.
HSN has no new personalities or brands to set themselves apart.

as a competitor or as the buyer/owner of newly named HSN-QVC.

Oh my this was a breath of fresh air as my Grandmother would say. I bought Marlawynne velvet leggings, white poplin top, the Sheryl Crow trench coat in snake faux suede and the Mongolian Fur camel coat in the full dress length. Adrienne L.. has a place on 5th Avenue in New York. It is absolutely stunning. The favorite item was the trench coat that was thin as paper and feels like a silk suede of outstanding quality. Although she is a rock star she has a team that designs things from her closet….she selects fabulous fabrics that her team of designers that I’m sure are New York based. I’m totally with you on the vendors and the quality clothes mailed out to you. Marlas things along with Sheryl’s came packed as if you ordered them from Saks or Neiman’s. Be selective and don’t count HSN out yet, and my Rara Avis things are simply fabulous. The dress and sweaters she had on the other night were beautiful. I just can’t get everything, of course. Not a strange smell on anything! Yea! Keep it up with the quality vendors…. I just watch my shows during these presentations! Thanks Skingirl13, Happy New Year! 🎊
I just read Iman is returning to HSN in 2020. I hope it’s true. Miss her and her exquisite fashion sense and style🙏🏼

I’ve been following Iman and she’s been busy doing a lot of philanthropic work and receiving acknowledgment for it. Congratulations to her for being a wonderful caring person.
You did a great job quinci, reprimanding the customer who believed in the parameters of the presentation. Bravo… hope you get the HSN cookie of the year award! So tired of people coming down on the customer who believed in the presentation of the host/vendor. Where is the accountability? Maybe the flex pay allows you to excuse away mis-represention. And I get sometimes things will not fit, agree with or flatter everyone…I am not unreasonable. But when a product is exaggerated or grossly misrepresented, that company needs to take back the item…no questions asked. How do you explain classic denim all of a sudden having to be sized down when we’ve been instructed for years to stick with our normal size?

sometimes i just need to know the perimeters…..
i buy something and a few days later it’s free shipping. do i qualify for my shipping to be reduced or not? i have placed an inquiry in the Customer Service section and have received no response. i have seen others inquire and their shipping was reduced to free instead of sending their item back and reordering it. so what gives now?
that and if you give me a coupon for $10 off anything over $10, within certain guidelines, and i try to use it but at checkout it keeps saying it’s “invalid,” then why post it on my account? i had this happen last year at this time and now again.
i have only gotten the $5 off coupon to use once, even when the code states i can use it over and over again.
i try to be positive b/c i know it’s tough to be in retail, but inconsistencies need to be pointed out b/c i am sure i am not the only customer who gets confused and frustrated. when these things happen, i do not buy. i buy for what i need/like and what i can afford.
i hope this thread helps HSN investigate issues customers are raising for a more positive shopping experience.
and bring back Joy and Iman. their energy was bright and addictive. some people complain of abrasive or loud vendors. that just means they are serious and/or passionate about their product. you need different personalities or the channel will become stale and cookie cutter boring.
the other customers are correct about pricing. the new Vintage American is on par with the style at a big box store, but there for much, much less. unless the apparel has super powers, a pant or blouse to lounge in should not be so costly. i bet that line would sell better between $25 -35 a pop and not around $50.
more free shipping days. i bet HSN’s sales spike on those days. there is a reason… people see shipping and handling as another tax. i am going to buy a shirt that can be shipped fairly cheap and if i pay $50 for it, why should i pay shipping in addition? think like your customers…. not like bottom line bosses. b/c $5 gets you to the mall and back, then everything else is free shipping while you’re there. in the online shopping wars, be competitive. unless you have something no one else has… which is rare.

No problem, I’m glad I could help with some information 🙂 Much like most HSN members, I too was curious about what would happen with Iman, Joy, and JM products since everything was on clearance. I was able to find bits of information here and there, but was really pleased to see that Iman was returning soon ☺ I too am hoping for more great handbags, clothes, shoes, hats, etc. from her, I get so many compliments everytime I go out wearing one of her pieces, lol. No problem 😀 Iman is returning in Spring of 2020, according to HSN. If you type her name in the search bar, it comes up with her picture and her return time (yay) 🎉🎊 As far as the 2 ladies collaborating again, I don’t think they will, they had a 5-year deal/agreement with HSN for that collaboration (which is why last year’s purse was the final or “farewell” handbag). Now Joy may return to some other network (definite not QVC, as she started there years ago) with her own brand of purses, bags, etc. or she may sell them strictly on her website.

I agree the fun is gone. Some of the things they have on their “gift” shows crack me up. Nasal lavage? Is that REALLY on anyone’s gift list? Not saying it isn’t something a lot of people need, but…. I did pick up some beautiful DG2 pieces recently, however. I’m awaiting the return of Iman in Spring with great anticipation!
