Posted in Forum: Talk Among Yourselvesduring Christmas, I ordered korres body and hand cream on sale for 12.50.wben I squeezed the bottom, there was nothing in there. I had to move up on the tube where there felt some Valium of cream. there’s also no fragrance to the bergamot pear maybe that’s why it was only $12.50. I’m very disappointed in korres their skimping out on us.shame on you korres!

The Farmer’s Market is a fun place. Very customer friendly. It is family run and it seems their party never ends especially around the holidays. Today they were opened from 8am to 6pm and the same hours will be tomorrow as well. I was surprised to see Winn Dixie was still opened after 9 pm tonight as I drove passed.
Hubby was eating dinner when I arrived. I picked up Asian food on my way in for the two of us as well as for the receptionist. The parking lot was no where near full and there is a Publix Market in the same area. I was shocked. I certainly expected to see cars upon cars and people grabbing last minute items. The Asian take out had a line going out the door. This was around 4:30pm. I had ordered wonton soup for hubby and a shrimp dish for myself. The receptionist ordered steak with onions that looked absolutely heavenly.
Hubby wasn’t hungry for dinner and left his plate. He wasn’t feeling well. Come to find out he had some phlegm caught in his throat that was driving him crazy. The aide also mentioned that he had many snacks in between as well. When I left, he was sound asleep. I didn’t dare wake him. Traffic was very light on the way home. But the traffic lights were a nemesis. I missed every single one (all eight). When I arrived home, the fireworks had started. At first I thought it was gun gire, but looking up I was relieved to see the brilliant colors of red, green, blue and white.
I wish you and your family a wonderful New Year. One that will shine bright and bring good health and a bunch of smiles along with road trips. Have a beautiful day and then some. I love this time of year and wish it could go on allyear long plus. Stay warm.

“On July 19, 1986, Caroline Kennedy and her Uncle Ted shared an unforgettable moment outside Our Lady of Victory Church in Centerville, Massachusetts, simultaneously raising their fingers to their lips in a playful shushing gesture toward the jubilant crowd gathered to witness America’s princess marry designer Edwin Schlossberg on Cape Cod’s sun-drenched shores. This spontaneous photograph captured the unique bond between niece and uncle, forged in the fires of unimaginable loss when Ted became Caroline’s protector and surrogate father after Dallas stole her daddy just weeks before her sixth birthday, a role he embraced with fierce devotion for over two decades. Caroline’s Carolina Herrera gown, an silk organza masterpiece delicately embroidered with Irish shamrocks honoring the Kennedy family’s cherished heritage, whispered elegance with its modest round neckline and short sleeves, while Jackie Onassis stunned guests in a pistachio hued mother-of-the-bride creation also designed by Herrera, whom she’d personally selected for this sacred occasion. The groom and groomsmen broke convention by wearing cream linen suits designed by the late Willi Smith, the groundbreaking Black fashion designer who’d revolutionized American sportswear before his tragic passing just months before the wedding, making their choice both stylish and deeply meaningful. That playful shushing moment revealed Caroline’s gift for balancing reverence with joy, understanding that her wedding day honored not just her future with Ed but also the memory of parents who’d taught her that grace under pressure meant finding lightness even when grief lingered in every family gathering. Ted’s presence beside her completing that gesture showed the world that love transcends biology, that family is built through showing up again and again, through walking brides down aisles and shushing crowds together with matching grins.

I also have a question:
I have another order (Order ID#) that has been shipped, but not delivered as of yet. It seems to be taking the “scenic” route via USPS. I realize this is not HSN’s fault.
I wanted to ask, if for some reason this item doesn’t get delivered to me in a timely manner, or gets mis-delivered, what recourse do I have? I just want to make sure I’m made @whole”, since this whole ordering experience, repeatedly receiving the wring item, etc. has been a negative experience.
Thank you again for a reply.-

I was finally able to visit hubs. Found him in the TV room with another person. I had asked the receptionist to tell the nurses/aides the reason for my absence and to also tell hubs. Guess no one did and I found him worried sick. As soon as I mentioned the food from the Christmas lunch at the rehab, he understood. Why no one told him is a good
I surmise we had rain this evening, the ground was damp when I left the rehab. Tomorrow the cold wave begins with temps at night in the 40s and during the day barely reaching 60. We will be returning to more seasonal temps in just a few days.
I have been doing a bit of research on dementia. So far I am finding that the Vitamin Bs are very helpful along with Lion’s Mane. Not sure if the ingredients that Andrew offers is enough in the mgs, but will see. What I like is that the ingredients are all natural without any side effects. I will keep you posted as I gather more info.

I stayed home today to play a bit of catchup. Tomorrow is garbage and recycle. Both are now at the curb. I will be doing an extra wash tomorrow for some of our winter clothing. Starting Tuesday we will be in the 60s and 40s overnight. I think hubs has some warm clothes at the rehab and I will be checking his closet tomorrow. Yes, I am finally feeling much better. Great to be able to do things again.
I also like the paw print. Bet Poppy’s paw is lots smaller. You could probably attach it to his collar. I can visualize it and the many oohs and ahhs when you are out and about with him.
Hope to finally make it to the Farmer’s Market tomorrow. I also will take a look at some food items for hubs. He loves their homemade soup and I purchased the 2 warmers from Curtis Stone. I wish that it came with a plug in for a vehicle. These will come in handy to use in hubs room. I also will be purchasing the items to make the Asian Winter Soup. Pork ribs is the main ingreditent. I am debating about using the slow cooker. I will add honeydew and Dragon fruit to the mix. Hubby keeps asking for apples. I may skin either one or two and throw that into it as well. The veggies will include carrots, bok choy, string beans, summer squash and some others that will give it color. From start to finish it takes no more than an hour and a half. There is an Asian market in the Tampa area that cuts the ribs New York style. This also makes it a Dim Sum style. Love it both ways.
Have a great evening. Hope your hubby gets Friday off this week. After all the partying, I would dread getting up in the wee hours to get ready for a work day. Oh well.

Hi @eldon_n_tn. I am sorry, that does sound confusing. We will look into the details of this product further. It’s important that we have it right. Please look for any updates listed on the items page. We’ll also notify you here if and when we find out anything. Thank you for bringing this to light.

Merry Christmas from our hearts to yours. I know today is a difficult one. Missing family during any holiday is not easy. However some of the instances that made us laugh seems to linger on during this season. Hope you find time to watch the game.
I have been at the Rehab since 11:30. Hubs and I had Christmas lunch together. The food wasn’t great, but being with him was just beautiful. He grinned ear to ear when he saw me.This will be a long day, but it’s worth it. Makes both of us smile.
I have a couple of cookie tins to hand out. It’s the third shift that I need to do. Guess that will happen Monday when most return. I hope you had a great day . I am super happy that your SIL is enjoying a vacation in Fl.. They picked a sunny week to take in the sights and sounds. What a great way to celebrate after all she has been through. I am still praying for her good health and then some. It also includes you. By the way, I would put an apron on Poppy and let him clean up. Merry Christmas.

This season isn’t only made of joy. It’s also shaped by who isn’t here.
The empty chairs. The voices we still listen for. The people we carry quietly, even as the world keeps celebrating.
If you’re moving through the holidays with tenderness, memory, or loss close to the surface, you’re not doing it wrong. Love doesn’t disappear just because someone does.
Today, this wreath is a remembering. For those gone.
For what was shared. For what still lives in us.
You’re allowed to hold both gratitude and grief, light and longing in the same breath.💕😘I miss my family. 💕

I am wondering if some of the expense is due to the tariffs since most either are manufactured in China or elsewhere. And to make the cost seem reasonable they let the quality go downhill. This also carries into the price and quality in supermarkets and vehicles manufactured overseas.

Also, if indeed that color & size of ring is determined not to he reserved for me, I was already billed 1x Flexpay for it…so then would I be refunded the flex payment & no further charges will be billed for that item that was returned?
*** Again, I really would like to request a supervisor to verify if the correct ring has been reserved. I have been hearing mixed answers, which is unacceptable***
Thank you.

I am waiting on a second delivery from Sam’s. The first one went to the wrong house. The owner never showed yesterday to discuss the vanity and the other items. I kept checking with the receptionist…..nothing.
The people at the Rehab seldom get a thank you or even a gift of sorts. I bring surprises whenever I see a thing or two in my travels that they may like. They’re smiles is all the thank you I need. Today, though, is a different story. I will not be seeing hubs until I receive the delivery which is not expected until early evening. Instead, I will be doing this and that No problem.
Our contractor will be home sometime after the first of the year. I will be sending him an email on my concerns with the furnace. At least he will know if it’s in running order. I have a feeling
that I might just be jumping the whatever. He will also be replacing one of our windows and the gutters. At least he will know if everything is OK and will contact those he needs to. All I can say is if the house is warm, the oil is getting through. Hubs did not want me venturing out to the house without someone with me.. That is, without our contractor. The only thing I know is how to set the thermostat (LOL).

NATIONAL PFEFFERNUSSE DAY
December 23rd is reserved for National Pfeffernuse Day, a German spice cookie. Very popular around the holidays, pfeffernüsse are fluffy cookies made with ground nuts and spices and covered in powdered sugar.
Over time, many bakers have created their own pfeffernüsse recipes. Traditional methods included various nuts such as almonds and walnuts. Some modern recipes exclude nuts altogether along with the black pepper, retaining only cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, allspice, and cardamom as flavorings. Bakers also use molasses and honey to sweeten the cookie
