I have attempted to order on flexpay twice and was denied. However their still holding over $200 on my checking account.
But my order status says cancelled when I certainly didn’t. They did! They should not put a hold when your not even approved!
Is flexpay now credit based? Guess if it doesn’t fall off I’ll report it

Posted in Forum: Customer ServiceI decided to try HSN after being encouraged to do so from many friends who have used HSN. I tried to place an order for a camera but was denied Flexpay and charged the $300 anyways. So now I’m in a place where I can’t purchase the camera before I depart for my trip (as HSN has taken my money) and I apparently won’t have a camera arriving with the two day shipping I paid for. Of course this means me and my friends will no longer be using HSN, which is ridiculous for a company to do this, but I figured I’d post and ask what to do about getting my money back since now I’m out of being able to purchase a camera because of this company.
If the laptop was your 1st order at HSN, they will almost never approve you for an expensive first item on flex pay. As it gets closer to Christmas, more and more of these “denied flexpay” posts will appear. Tip for anyone singing up for an account here, make a couple of non-flexpay orders first, THEN make a flexpay order for an electronic, phone, etc.
Unfortunately HSN and most every other site, doesn’t have a mechanism in place to first evaluate your credit for flexpay THEN place the order. At my CU, the pending hold from HSN falls off after 5 days from my debit card account.
HSN and QVC really need to be transparent as to what their credit requirements are for big ticket items for flexpay. Especially with holiday buying starting.

Posted in Forum: ElectronicsI neverrrrrrr had issues when attempting to purchase items in small payments. My sister recommended to use hsn as it carried more affordable laptops for school yet I was DENIED ALL THREE TRIES AND STILL HAD MY MONEY TAKEN OUT, PUT AS PENDING making it unavailable for me to use for important responsibilities- rent, transportation, lunch. Almost $300 dollars that I can’t use until my “bank releases these funds” Customer service claims for my own privacy they can not tell me why I didn’t “qualify” on flexpay yet someone from HSN told me flexpay will be able to give me the reason over the phone before the letter in the mail comes. Very unknowledgeable customer service and this company lacks proper explanation on there website as this is not something you need a credit check for why would someone even get denied when It is evident they have the funds to pay for it clearly you guys would know since you took it quickly then to actually approve me…Same reviews are being expressed since 2016 and yet no one has tried to make this better???? I am livid.
