Posted in Forum: ElectronicsMy flexpay was denied on a phone but HSN still took my money?? When am I getting it back?
Posted in Forum: Customer ServiceHi,
I don’t understand. Can you all help me out here? I placed another order with you all for the Bissell all in one vacuum cleaner. I did the usual check out process. At the end, I was told that I was denied flexpay and to pay in full, however the money still was taken out. This would have been my 3rd order on here and im confused as to why it was denied, moreso, why my money is being held?
May I receive a refund for the order? How long before I receive it? If it is not taken care of, then I will have to approach my bank for further assistance to retrieve my funds. Thanks.
Posted in Forum: Customer ServiceI attempted to order a shirt last week and the system could not, would not accept a different shipping address for delivery. I called customer service and she also could not succeed in selection of a different delivery address. I explained the item absolutely could not be delivered to the billing address as I was staying in a different location, yet the billing address could not be changed to match the shipping address as the billing address was linked to my credit card. I subsequently ended up cancelling the order altogether. Now, as I attempt to order an electronic item, I chose the flexpay option and suddenly receive an email “confirming” to me that my order has been cancelled with absolutely no explanation whatsoever, as if somehow I requested cancellation. I called customer service once more to be told that I have been denied the flexpay option but can reorder paying in full. My credit is decent, money in the bank, I do not understand their reasoning. I apparently will receive a letter in 7 to 10 days with an explanation. The whole idea of having HSN deny and cancel my order without any explanation, leaving me with the option of having to contact them to find out their policy, is the worst of customer service. I do not care how much or little money one makes, how much or how little a customer may spend, how often or infrequently they order, I have been in customer service for many years and treating a customer with disregard as this action did is wrong. I shop with several of the other shopping networks with their customer service policy being respectful and dignified. I can’t say if the first incident was somehow connected to the second incident, however I shopped with HSN years ago with no issues. I assume this is HSN policy and in no way reflects on those reps I spoke with as they were professional and kind but know this……. I have no problem paying twice as much with someone else to be treated as if my business matters. Thank you.
Posted in Forum: Customer ServiceMY ORDER NUMBER 1698487730 FLEX PAY WAS DENIED BUT YET THE CHARGE STILL WENT THROUGH ON MY ACCOUNT AND NOW I ONLY HAVE $50 LEFT. PLEASE HELP I NEED THE MONEY BACK REAL BAD PLEASE :(((((((((((((((
Posted in Forum: Customer ServiceSo I wanted to buy a Nintendo Switch and saw that paying on 5 flexpay was an option so jumped on it. The first time I tried my total was 113$ and it denied it. I then tried ordering something else that did go through so I figured I would try the switch again and another 113$ For something that was denied. I checked my banking statement and was charged for BOTH times i attempted to buy something they denied me to buy. Now I’m angry because I could’ve just gone to target and spent 200$ on a switch, but instead spent 226$ on products that I will NEVER receive and I want my money back… NOW. Shouldn’t take money if the order isn’t even allowed to go through!
Posted in Forum: Customer ServiceI was denied flexpay after they took my money from my account. I called customer service and the operator asked me to hold while she had her supervisor release my funds back to me.. Which never happened. I asked her multiple times why would they take my money and then deny me.. She said she did not have an answer for me and that it happened all the time.
Still have not received my money and have not received one answer to my requests.
I will be reporting to BBB..
Worst customer service!!!Posted in Forum: ElectronicsYou guys canceled my order because you denied flexpay, but you still charged my card. I need my refund, so I can order from somewhere else.

To my SURPRISE, I checked my banking app and NOTICED that HSN Charged My Card ANYWAYS!!! WHY??? You DIDNT Approve me so WHY Would You Charge Me!!! I Need My Funds Back IMMEDIATELY PLEASE!!! It Is NOT FAIR For Your Company to Take MY MONEY and Not follow through on Your end! I have NEVER Experienced this with ANY OTHER COMPANY! PLEASE RELEASE MY FUNDS ASAP!!! I Am EXTREMELY Disappointed With Your Company! This is NOT how you treat a Consumer!!!
Posted in Forum: ElectronicsHere we are, in the midst of a global pandemic as I explain at 2:30 AM how HSN has just blatantly abused my financial well-being without caring in the slightest. I want as many people to see this as possible. Obviously not for attention, I just want people to understand what major how major companies really handle situations with average, everyday people.
Sans the ironic opening, I had to buy a new laptop recently for my job. Since my partner was unemployed recently – for obvious reasons – I am now the only working member in our family. The MacBook I had been using for years ended up with a battery failure recently and I needed to quickly find a new computer.
A few weeks ago, a colleague mentioned HSN to me and this was the first thing that came to mind when I needed to find a new device. Since our house currently runs on one income for god-knows-how-long – AND the only true source of income for ANYONE in the house is dad’s laptop – I thought the FlexPay promotion was my savior! The payments were comfortable and I knew I’d still have the income and savings to pay it off quickly. I spent hours reading through reviews on different systems until deciding on which “funky bundle” to go with.
HERE’S WHERE $H!T HIT THE FAN, THOUGH:
I decided on a 13-in MacBook Air. My recent system was an Air. I like the convenience and portability. Everything was set. I entered all my information in, it showed me the total of my first payment (with an additional $87 in tax might I add), I took a breath and clicked the checkout button. VOILA – ORDER CONFIRMED!
I excitedly inform my partner, and my leads at work to let them know I’ll be caught up with everything as soon as my new laptop arrives. Then *ding* PayPal notifies me – [$THIS COMFORTABLE BUT STILL SIZABLE AMOUNT OF MONEY HAS BEEN DEDUCTED FROM YOUR BALANCE.] – Great! Payments been processed so we’re good to go!
One hour later, “Your order has been canceled…” – What? Why? I already paid for it…. and they haven’t given me a reason why it was canceled…? Is the transaction canceled? Or course not, my money is still missing… was it out of stock? Let me login to check. Maybe it’s something with PayPal? Maybe they didn’t recognize the email address I used. It wasn’t a gmail or “well known” email hosting name due to personal security reasons. So I simply update the email to my Gmail account and use me debit card instead of PayPal this time. All of this because HSN gave no reason why the order was canceled in the first place.
The SECOND time, I immediately get taken to an error screen. “We’re sorry, we’ve decided you’re not eligible for Flex Pay.” – So you couldn’t tell me that BEFORE I placed the order? You couldn’t confirm my “eligibility” BEFORE you happily took my money? Oh but that’s not even the kicker… *** ALTHOUGH THEY DECLINED ME RIGHT AWAY ON THE SECOND ATTEMPT THEY STILL CHARGED MY CARD!!!!! ***
So now I’ve been charged twice (have the bank statement screenshots to prove it if anyone from HSN wants to @ me, and I hope you do). The order was cancelled on HSN’s side both times and they STILL took the money both times.
Then when the only person I could reach was through chat… I was informed that they are “temporary authorization charges that will go away within 30 days.”
Oh but it took y’all 30 seconds to take it out only to tell me an hour later I couldn’t actually purchase the item at that price and I’d have to pay in full, AND THEN HAVE THE AUDACITY TO CHARGE ME AGAIN.To top that, now my bank has frozen my card due to “suspicious activity” and my internet bill is due tomorrow. So thanks for that, HSN.
Now I’m infuriated because COVID-19 circumstances have uprooted everyones lives and people are relying on the internet and remote working to get by. Yet, HSN promotes a cost friendly and convenient option of buying electronics, but will take the money and let you buy it before telling you “you’re not eligible.”
What self-respecting company carelessly charges their customers BEFORE denying them a product? Do people pay tuition to colleges they’re rejected from?
I may have been “denied” for FlexPay, but my money was happily accepted, TWICE, by your company before informing me so. And I don’t have days/weeks to wait for that and I have bills to pay so either get that money back in my account immediately or send me the dang laptop you’ve already charged me twice for!!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted in Forum: Customer ServiceFlexPay service along with HSN, denied my order but yet in still took the initial first time charge of 204.04 for my purchase order attempt. WOWW’smh. Operator inform me it will take up to 72 hours. You guys take customers money in a instant of a second’ but if order is cancelled after the fact, the customer must wait hours to get reimbursed. “Gruntled” customer. Bad Service!!
Posted in Forum: Customer ServiceI tried two diff pay methods today and was denied by flex pay but both accounts were charged.
how do i get this money back?
Posted in Forum: ElectronicsIm not sure how you can charge my card but deny me the option for flexpay and then tell me I have to wait to get a letter in the mail to find out why i was denied. I’ve ordered from here before with no problem. I will go back to QVC for my needs from now on but I want my money released back to my card.
Posted in Forum: Customer ServiceI ordered two Apple AirPods on flex pay January 7th. Obviously— Denied. Fine. My credit was not eligible for flex pay and I take responsibility; I am not upset that I was denied. My gripe is the same as everyone else…. my debit card was charged 2 times ($39.94 & $44.34) for a total of $84.28. This wouldn’t be a huge deal if I would have used my credit card but debit is a whole different thing. It has been 7 days,I don’t understand why HSN has still not released my funds! I was not this upset going into this weekend since my bank account shows the charges are “pending”. On Friday the 10th When I checked my account, I was cautiously optimistic the situation was rectified. When it was unchanged and showing charges still pending I knew nothing could possibly be fixed until Monday— especially since the date next to the charges on my bank statement was POST DATED for January 13, 2020. So Monday came and went. Nothing. I checked late last night out of my own morbid curiosity, alas! Let down once more only to see the only UPDATE was the DATE changed in next to “pending” to
January 14,2020. Today is that date and I am painfully aware that the next time I check my bank account, throughout the day and night, will show the only thing changed will be the date pending to 1/15/20.
All I F@$&!#G want is my money back.. released OR you guys can keep charging me every month and send the shipment! There’s a thought. My orders are #1639294648 & #1639294649.
Please look into this HSN customer service! Contact my financial institution (BMOHARRIS) MasterCard..something PLEASE AND THANKS!!
