A LOT OF DG2 JEANS SHOW STRESS CREASES BECAUSE THEY ARE SMALL BUT ALSO BECAUSE OF HOW CHEAP THE MATERIAL IS THEY USE A LOT OF CHEAP MATERIALS AND SPANDEX SO THAT THEY WILL STRETCH A LOT, WAY TOO MUCH AND IT LEAVES ALL THOSE CREASES IN THE LEGS IT LOOKS TERRIBLE. YET SAM LOOKS LIKE HE DOESN’T EVEN KNOW HOW TO STYLE HIMSELF.
HE IS SHORT WHICH IS FINE BUT YOU DON’T WHERE A PLATFORM SNEAKER WITH A WHITE BOTTOM AND BLACK TOP IT WILL ACCENTUATE YOUR BIG FEET FOR A SHORT TORSO.
HE SHOULD WHERE AN ALL-BLACK SNEAKER WITH A BLACK PLATFORM HIS FEET WOULD NOT APPEAR SO HUGE.
HE BRAGS TOO MUCH FOR BEING A STYLIST FOR HSN. ALL THE CELEBRITY NAME DROPPING IS OBNOXIOUS. I DON’T EVEN LIKE CELEBRITY’S ESPECIALLY THE ELITIST FAKE OPRAH I CAN’T STAND HER. HE WILL SAY OH THAT IS WHAT JAY LO WHERES OR THIS ONE OR DROP A BIG DESIGNERS NAME. YOU NOTICE UNLIKE QVC THEY DO NOT TAKE PHONE CALLS ANY LONGER BECAUSE THEY PROBABLY WOULD GET HATE CALLS.
I usually don’t like to post because everyone has their own opinions. After reading these comments about DG2 sizing I am glad to know it is not just me who has been a long time customer of this brand and also have jeans in my closet from 12 to 16w. I always knew my size before and now it is a guessing game with multiple returns for sizing. Recently on one of the shows Sam said he has read the comments about sizing and he said nothing has changed at the sewing factories for how these are sewn. I don’t see how that can be, especially when you order more than one of the same style and they all fit different when tried on. Please remember why this brand was established. Yes, some of us are much older than others but the fit was always good before. If these comments are read by this brand I would like to comment or should I say make requests for two other suggestions. Please make more V neck tops and enough already with sequens on everything lately. Even the embroidery has sequens. I know it is popular now but not everyone wants it on most items shown lately.
I still love HSN, but I don’t expect to love everything that my favorite designers like. Yeah, they should take chances on design because that is how they stay fresh and different. G designs are based on her thin figure, so I don’t buy too much of her stuff, but I do think that her line is quality.
I still like Marla, but she does not bring back favorites like her old chiffon tops that I tried to buy in every color (tanks and blouses). She had a different take on denim jackets, and I am glad that I purchased the 3 that I have. Her jeans fit like old school and I love them too!
I am not a fan of the daughter either. Maybe Marla should design a line for the younger generation, which her daughter can present.
Besides my loyalty to DG2 (it seems that other designers admire her too since they copy her designs and claim as their own), my love for Chaco Canyon and a couple of others, everyone else is just air filler to me. Also, HSN has better programmers and user-friendly website.
They don’t have this any longer but, about 25 years ago TJ Maxx sold Lanz of Salzburg flannel nightgowns for about 70% off. If you’re not familiar, they are extra heavyweight 100% cotton flannel. This flannel is of such great quality I can still wear them. Woolite. Flannel’s best friend. 🙂

I have come across a new find for myself from dg2 by Dianne Gillman. Her new fabric, NEW CLASSIC STRETCH, is a denim game changer for me. They look exactly like the jeans we all love but, feel like stretch knit comfy pajamas.She came late to the game of stretch denim and it has been worth the wait. I now will not buy anything else.
Considering the price of good qualty jeans, especially embellished ones, HSN sells these at a very good price.

I feel your pain. I am petite with a short waist and fairly long legs. If I order petite pants the length is too short but if I order medium length, then there is one to two inches hanging in the crotch area. This is where jeans on western websites are better regarding this issue. They always give the length and rise of all denim jeans. I often wondered why other online retailers were not doing the same. I also agree with the waistband issue. There is never enough stretch in the hip area to pull them on easily even though once you have them on, they fit good. DG2 is famous for doing this. The last time I ordered a pair of their pull-on jeans I had to return them. Who wants to spend 10 minutes in the rest room trying to pull up your jeans?
Every item I have ordered from the DG2 line over the years has this odor. It is not just your garments. The desiccant bags are to absorb moisture in shipping and storage. I find I have to wash DG stuff many times to get the odor to be faint enough. I do like the way her jeans fit but I can’t abide the odor. Like angie0215 wrote, it is bad for us to be around such chemicals.
It is formaldehyde they use it in clothing especially cheap clothing they make in China for the USA to keep it from going rancid, preventing mold, to make it more anti-wrinkle and make the material soft and more durable.
Formaldehyde is used in embalming fluids, effectively preventing decomposition and maintaining the appearance of the body for viewings.
Every time I purchased jeans from DG2 it has the smell once in a while it doesn’t sometimes you can wash it out and sometimes you can’t it is not healthy to wear anything with formaldehyde especially if the amounts are so high that you can smell it; it is also used as an embalming agent.
I rarely buy from DG2 or C Wonder I do occasionally but if it has the smell
don’t try and wash it out it is bad for your health SEND IT BACK IMMEDIATELY!-

Most important the material is not the same. Diane always made it her priority to give us the BEST! NO MORE! Now we are being fed what they want us to buy. DIANE WOULD NEVER DO THIS THER CUSTOMERS!!! She made a great career designing great jeans and it’s not right to do this to her legacy!Its now time to shop elsewhere but there will never be another Diane Gilman jean.
Posted in Forum: FashionI recently ordered and received DG2 outfit jeans and jacket (917716 and 917709). Both pieces have a very strong odor. I cannot describe it. Both pieces contained silicone packets in the packaging which leads me to believe someone was aware of the odor. One person who reviewed the outfit also noticed the odor. She washed it and tried a few other methods to try to get rid of the odor. Nothing seemed to work. Does anyone have any suggestions to help get rid of the owner before I send it back? Bethenny Frankel’s jeans were the absolute best. I purchased 4 pairs before she left HSN. Her readers were of high quality too. Today I am wearing Iman jeans which fit perfectly. Many of the good designers seem to have moved on and I don’t blame them. Whenever I order DG2 jeans they never seem to fit quite right, but I have kept a few pairs. I don’t really think HSN’S clothes are “old lady” looking like some have said but I am not exactly a fashionista either. I tend to be more of a conservative dresser.
I totally agree that HSN has really gone downhill fashion wise. In the past few years they lost so many brands like Skinny Girl, Brittany Humble,Wavvy. Now there’s no more Iman or Anthony. I have lots of DG2 but like you said how many pairs of jeans can you wear. Marla Wynn is very expensive and I don’t always like her style. HSN really needs to get lots more fashion and stop running the same programs over and over. . I can watch in the morning and the afternoon is repeating the same stuff into the evening.
I like G by Giuliana, but she needs to make more petites. C wonder made one thing that I like a pendulum faux leather jacket with a zipper which I purchased in all colors before they brought it back as a TSV everything else is horrible. One or two dresses but they did not come in petite. The designers are really bad. DG2 had a couple of specialty jeans I liked with bows in fake crystals they were nice which I purchased but I don’t like the cheap sweaters and tons of all the same jeans that usually smell of formaldehyde.
G is the only designer that is decent, but she should not be the only one at least QVC has a lot of good designers to pick from HSN has only one in my opinion they need a lot more.
Marla Wynne is overpriced all the same clothing. She is a wanna be designer her pants are horrible none of these people are real designers.
QVC has Isaac Mizrahi an excellent designer always makes petites. Susan graver makes the best fitting pant she is a real designer. They are making quality and petites not that you have to like everything, but you have options between all the good designers.
Most of designers on HSN need to be replaced with quality designers not celebrities who never make petites. I do like G they are lucky to have her.
