I created and started this thread almost 14 years ago. 😎🎈
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe. 🌹✨😎I have been shopping and posting on HSN since the late
90’s 😎I have wonderful memories from the HSN we all know and love.

NATIONAL BLUEBERRY CHEESECAKE DAY
On May 26th, two of the calendar’s favorite foods come together on National Blueberry Cheesecake Day. We’ve scattered blueberries and cheesecakes throughout these pages in scrumptious celebration. But one day a year they join forces in perfect, delicious harmony.
History of Blueberries and Cream Cheese
There was a time when people only gathered blueberries from the wild. It wasn’t until the early 1900s through the observations of Elizabeth Coleman White and the research of Dr. Frederick V. Coville that successful transplanting and domestication of the blueberry became possible. It wasn’t long after that commercial production of the blueberry began.Combine the history of the blueberry with the development of cream cheese, some might consider the blueberry cheesecake to be a truly American dessert. While recipes for cheesecake served athletes in ancient Greece, cream cheese has been a part of American’s dessert making since about the 1820s. However, after the advent of pasteurization, mass production became possible. One dairy farmer from Chester, New York, decided to be the first. William A. Lawrence purchased a Neufchatel factory to begin his production and in 1873 the first mass-produced cream cheese became a reality.
Types of Cheesecakes
Either way, this smooth dessert hits the spot when dessert time rolls around. While most cakes have a crumb, cheesecake’s texture is nothing like cake. Indeed, its creamy, thick pudding-like character comes from the soft cheese used as the main ingredient. Depending on the recipe, bakers use either cream cheese or cottage cheese. When the cheese is mixed with sugar, eggs, and other ingredients, the batter is added to a crust. Either add the blueberries now or save them for a beautifully fresh and vibrant topping. When making cheesecake, one of the most common crusts used is a graham cracker crust. Other options include a cookie crust, pastry or sponge cake. However, some cheesecakes are crustless. Depending on the recipe, cheesecakes may be prepared baked or unbaked.

I am fine. Just having problems with the HSN website. I thought it was my old computer giving me a headache since I found other websites not letting me in and seeing “ACCESS DENIED.’
Hubby’s glasses were missing and yesterday found one pair on his bedroom tray. They were filthy. Have no idea where they were, but thankfully he has them. Yesterday I stopped at Culver’s and picked up a fish sandwich and a couple of hot fudge with frozen custard. Hubs was still hungry after his dinner so I shared my sandwich with him alond with the fries. I took a few spoonfuls of the frozen custard before hubs abscounded that one. At least it’s helping me lose some needed pounds (LOL).
Tuesday I will be feeding the gas tank and making a stop at the Farmer’s Market. Had a quiet Memorial weekend including today. Traffic was light. Schools end Friday for the summer, but classes will resume the first week in August. I just wish that the parents would teach their children to dress in light colors when riding their bikes in the evening. Some of the bikers also do not use any lights on their bikes or anything that would shine in the night bike tires included). Thankfully, I drive slow. This brings up a story that happened a few months ago. I left hubs one night when it was already dark and headlights were needed to return home. The road I use has no sidewalks or street lights, thus the reason why I drive under the speed limit. On this one occasion I could have hit a person. His clothes were dark. He/or she must have been wearing shorts because his/her legs seemed to glow in the dark. Though the situation sent a chill down my spine, I had to laugh at seeing the body part that told me to avoid the person. And, to top it off, he/she was an adult.

Sheba, Wishing you a good Memorial Day and hope your visit to the cemetery was nice.
Just want to say Winning” with the mosquito.lol.
Emergency’s are hard for the animals. I remember all the animals large and small that were sent to a shelter about an hour away. I think I heard the situation, while not good is better with the leak. -

Peace Out Peeps enjoy your evening and stay safe. 😎

On March 16, 2009, Natasha Richardson fell on a beginner slope at Mont Tremblant in Quebec and called Liam Neeson as if nothing frightening had happened. She had hit her head during a ski lesson, but the fall looked small enough to dismiss. Hours later, the same ordinary afternoon had become the phone call that tore his world open.
Natasha was 45, a Tony-winning stage actress, the daughter of actress Vanessa Redgrave and director Tony Richardson, and remembered by many families as Elizabeth James from “The Parent Trap” (1998). To Liam, she was not a name from a famous theatrical family. She was the woman who made their upstate New York farmhouse feel alive. She was the mother of Micheál and Daniel. She was the person who could turn his darker view of life toward light.
Their story had begun on Broadway in “Anna Christie” (1993), where the chemistry was so strong that Liam later remembered it as something he had never felt with another performer. Natasha was still married to producer Robert Fox when that connection became impossible to ignore, and she later admitted she had fallen deeply in love with Liam. By July 1994, she and Liam were married at their home in Millbrook, New York.
They worked together in “Nell” (1994), then built a family that mattered more than red carpets. Micheál was born in 1995, Daniel in 1996. Natasha kept acting, winning a Tony for “Cabaret” (1998), but Liam remembered something quieter about her. She cared for people. She cooked. She looked after everyone. In a house with a towering actor known for intense roles, she was often the emotional center.
That is what made March 2009 so cruel. The first call sounded harmless. Natasha had taken a tumble in the snow, and she described it almost lightly. Liam was in Toronto working when her condition changed. The injury had hidden itself in that dangerous way head trauma sometimes does. A person can seem fine while pressure builds inside the skull. A second ambulance came. She was taken first to a local hospital, then to Montreal. Liam flew to her as fast as he could.
By the time he reached the hospital, the truth was already unbearable. Doctors showed him the scan, and he understood that she was not coming back. He went to her bedside, told her he loved her, and prepared to bring her home to New York so family and friends could say goodbye. He also honored the pact they had made about life support. Natasha’s heart, kidneys, and liver were donated, and Liam later said that would have made her pleased.
But grief did not end with the funeral. It moved into the rooms. It hid in sounds. Years later, Liam admitted, “It was never real. It still kind of isn’t. There are periods now in our New York residence when I hear the door opening.” That was the detail that broke hearts because it was so small. Not a grand Hollywood tragedy. Just a husband hearing a door and waiting for the woman who used to drop her keys on the table.
He returned to work quickly, not because he was untouched, but because stillness was dangerous. “Taken” (2008) had just changed his career before the accident, and afterward work became structure. He said he was not good without it, especially with two teenage sons watching him. He did not want Micheál and Daniel to see only sadness when they looked at their father.
The grief kept changing shape. Micheál later chose the surname Richardson to honor his mother. Liam kept walking to the grave near their home. Years after losing her, he said, “I speak to her every day at her grave, which is about a mile and a half down the road.” He could not bring her back, but he kept talking.
Some absences keep answering every door.
