Conversation – 17

Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Quite a storm we had. It lasted until 4 something this afternoon. Lightning and thunderclaps sounded as if it was right overhead. I turned everything off, including the A/C. We did get downpours and I surmise the roads are flooded. No shopping today. May try tomorrow. I do need to get this house in order and today I didn’t lift a finger. So I will see what I get done in the Am before venturing anywhere. Starting tomorrow, I will need to change the bath towels daily until after surgery. Not a big deal since we have clean ones on hand and the ones he uses will just be done over the weekend.
I did make a stir fry this evening with rice. I used carrots, snow peas, vidalia onions and pineapple and added meat and chicken to the mix. Used also plum sauce for flavoring. Took less than 10 minutes to cook through. We have leftovers for tomorrow.
Tomorrow is recycle and for once the blue barrel has very little, so no trash either., But the week is going way too fast. Tomorrow is Heidi’s day and not sure where I will be when she is on. I have checked the two hour show and put some things into favorites. Most likely will watch the tapes. I really could use a laugh right now. I see xango is hard at work while I am being lazy. So, onward I will go and hopefully will catch up to where I should be.
Hope you all have a great evening.

Good afternoon in Oz. What a day I’ve had.😣 My husband got a new phone and I spent all morning and early afternoon trying to get the old phone transferred over to the new one. I have done this before but did not have the right fitting cable so tried to do it wirelessly, which was an option, at least six times to no avail. I have an account with Best Buy so finally sent him there – they had the right cable and it was done in a few minutes.😊 Lesson learned!
I really enjoyed the Elvis movie, biopics are my favorite. It was fairly long, 2 hours 40 minutes, but it went quick. Austin Butler did a great job and I heard it got a 12 minute standing ovation at Cannes.👋
Hot for the next few days.🔥 The storms two days ago developed into a tornado south of us.🌪 Getting ready to search for something for dinner, haven’t eaten all day due to techno difficulties.😫 Blowing kisses back to you and Poppy.🥰

@Sheba
🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋Good afternoon Sheba, how are you? I am glad you are having rain. Yesterday
after a few hours of rambling thunder it finally rain some in the evening. Nothing like the down pours we really need.
Thank you for your gentle hugs and prayers. It is very appreciated.
I did make some dishes in advance just for this week , it’s in the freezer. Since I need to continue working on straightening the house today. I will make something for the freezer tomorrow and for me to eat on Friday. Perhaps a Quiche, maybe chicken and broccoli 🥦 😋. Which all I have to do is warm by the slice and a salad makes a meal.
Take care Sheba 🦋🦋🦋🦋🌻🌻🌻🌻🦋🦋🦋🦋 -
That bowl looks delicious. It’s something I could go for right now with clams. We both are missing the Cape.I have. A feeling that when it’s ok to drive we will head North and probably will stay through the winter. That is, unless we fly and rent a vehicle.
It has begun to thunder. Closing. Write later.

Your Word Is Sacred
We forget how powerful our words are. When we make promises, it is up to us to make sure we keep our words sacred.
Ever since human beings could speak to one another, they have been making promises and keeping them or not keeping them. Those who keep their promises are regarded as people of integrity, while those who don’t keep their promises are regarded as people who at best can’t be taken seriously and at worst can’t be trusted. Sometimes we forget how powerful our words are, and we use them haphazardly or unconsciously, creating expectations that are never fulfilled, leaving disappointment and distrust in our wake.
On an even deeper level, there are promises we may have made to ourselves that we don’t remember because they have slipped into our unconscious. An early heartache may have been followed by a promise never to trust love again. Without realizing it, we may be fulfilling that promise and wondering why our love life looks so grim. At an even deeper level, many people who recall past lives become aware that they made a promise lifetimes ago that they are still keeping. For example, a vow of poverty taken in a lifetime as a monk may be holding someone back from fulfilling his earning potential now. Upon realizing that we have made a promise we no longer wish to be beholden to, we can perform a ritual of requesting release from that bond. In doing so, we clear ourselves of outmoded connections and patterns, returning ourselves to a clean slate. Then we can resolve to remember that our word is sacred and to be very conscious of any promises we make to ourselves or to others.
We may ask to be released from any promises made to ourselves or others in our present, past, or future lives, consciously or unconsciously, that are holding us back from fulfilling our greatest good. We may ask that love, light, and healing be sent to any souls who have suffered from our inability to be true to our word, including ourselves. We can ask for the wisdom to do our best and from this point forward to be true to our word, promising only what we truly intend to deliver. The resulting clear conscience and liberated energy will illustrate this truth: We are only as good as our word. Amen! ✨✨
