Sheba, Hello! Here’s to staying cool. Hubs was mentioning my AC usage was more this year than ever before but then he didn’t like the fan going all night so I say pick one…lol.
We capture the condensation from the AC and water the yard /plants with it.
Hubs lucked out with the furniture at his parents house and found someone who took a lot of it for her home business of refinishing refurbishing it. Most of their furniture was older, antique style and needed updating so it found a good home.
My parents bought their furniture in the 60’s and kept most of it as well. It was good quality and could fit into different eras well but some of it was very very heavy. I have two of their chairs from the 60’s that I hope to recover and use if we ever move. They were originally bright orange then recovered to a dusty mauve.

I read back a few days and saw that you were celebrating Heidi’s Birthday and got a note.
That is so kind of her and jewelry is so fun to celebrate with on Birthdays so Heidi is in the right spot.
The heat in FL for Oodie sounds exhausting. Hope that she gets some cool air soon or checks into a hotel for a few days of relief and fun.

We took off for a few days to the Central Coast. The car ride home was long and hot. Temps at one point showed 100 degrees. Looking forward to cooler weather soon.
We did a little bit of biking and I walked a trail a few times when hubs was resting. He caught a cold and I think I might have caught it today.
Hubs needed to get a break and tomorrow he’s back to handling things.

Sheba, I admired how you take care of the critters.
Hopefully Shoelady just needs a Social Media and news break.

Went to lunch today with 3 other women and I’m a bit worn from it although it was fun.
The women are all about 7 years older than I am but we have common interests.
I will not be posting for a few days next week as fyi.

Tonight I made a large pot of spaghetti and stuck it in the fridge for later.

Sheba, Maybe I should have said I’d rather attempt a marathon but I’m pretty sure I would poop out trying by mile 1 or 2. lol 🙂 I might try the recipe again once I figure out the issue or I might change it around. Like you our air conditioning has been going strong for the summer. In CA our electricity is off the charts expensive so lucky for us that we invested in solar many years ago.

I’m sure the cats appreciate the cold water and of course all that yummie food.

Herb Alpert is touring all over. I can’t imagine a career like that he is so talented.

Sheba, another warm day here.
Went to the hairdresser and the client sitting in her chair was a neighbor I hadn’t seen in a long time, maybe 15 years… We had some time to catch up. We were the only ones in the Salon. It seems sometimes like a Small Town in a big City.

I tried a new recipe for zucchini today. It looked easy but was a bust. The flaky dough was not cooked through so ugh threw it all out. I’m not a patient cook, for me it’s like running a marathon, or maybe I would rather try to run a marathon LOL 🙂

I am so glad you are ok. Heat exhaustion sounds a bit scary.
Take it easy and eat all the ice cream you want.
You might want to try cooling by putting ice in the sink with some water and splashing your face and hands. My hairdresser said her air conditioner went out and that many stores were sold out so she went and got a refurbished one.

Sheba, Hello! We have the humidity without the rain and Thunderstorms. Feels muggy mostly.
Yah, you might say a bit but it is all moving forward. This 92 year old can’t travel much especially since she was recently released from rehab and is just getting back into her new normal.

Hope your day went well with everything going on and sending my best.

Oodie, Did the service your cousin take place yet? Hope you and your husband watched it.

Sheba, Yesterday hubs was literally run around. His Mother is 92 and after an hour needs to be back home as she gets tired. Things are moving forward some aspects slower and others faster but all is good.

Sorry for the loss of your Father. I know you miss him.
Best wishes to your niece to be well.

We have been very hot the last few weeks. It will be nice when things cool down again.
Our house hunting is slowly moving forward. I really wish we could leave the State asap but if my son is here then it makes sense to stay.

Hubs went to his Mothers Asst Living place to organize things that are necessary.
While he was gone I cleaned for 3 hours and just sat down to watch Jaws. I love this movie!
We lived in RI when it came out and my Mother always had to yell at us not to go out so far…sure solved her problem 🙂
After watching this movie we never went far.

Oodie, Glad you’re able to watch the funeral and be nearby in case your hubs needs you.
Flying and traveling in general can be delayed and things can change so it sounds for the best.
Very sorry for your loss.

As for the colder air, a while back I read that airplanes cool the air on long haul flights as it is better for health in those long travel conditions. Maybe the same logic works for where your hubs is staying.

Today was a driving day for me. Drove S an hour for a 5 minute post op check up and then back, then 3 other errands in all different directions.
