Neither of us was born when it first came out but if I had to guess I think I might be older than you. I’m surprised it was a remake but then so many movies are remakes.

We cooled here a bit with a high of 88. The Mosquitos are out like crazy. That also explains the swarming dragon flies. My ankles are bitten up. I looked down and one was on my ankle. It happened when hubs came home and opened the door.
Hubs was at his Mothers new Assisted Living Place. She seems to be doing ok.

Yes, Hubs is feeling it. He is almost done. His Father was a bit of a saver and pack rat so 2 dumpsters later and of course our trash cans here helped too 🙂 . You know those from the depression era like to collect.
Watching the Day the Earth Stood Still from 1951. I had no idea it was a remake and clicked on it thinking it was the newer movie from 2008.

We had a quite Sunday. Hubs had to go do some work at his parents house since he’s got to sell it off for his Mother.

Hubs is still busy taking care of things and he has done so much already. Sometime between April-May he was gone 37 nights. Longest in our marriage but it’s all ok. Par for the course.
Got lots done as far as organizing in the home since its so hot outdoors. We hit 94 and then 96.
I decided to spread the grass seed even though it was too hot. I just don’t want the area to all die off. I replanted some plants in the back that are managing to survive.
Take it easy peasy and sincerely hope your feel better soon.

Sheba, oh my all that reminiscing with Oodie. People get busy and things happen but I remember all those people and think about them every so often.
It’s like a hot bath tub outside. People who moved here from the East and South are not happy about it too. 🙂
Dolly Parton touched so many people with her music. I’ve seen many posts about her and its touching.
Son is having fun with his gf, and looks happy. It’s not hot where he is visiting.
I wanted to seed the grass but its too hot for the seeds from what I read about it online so will wait. We are supposed to have a wet winter so maybe the lawn will be happy again.

Sheba, Sad news about Dolly Pardon.
I didn’t do much today except clean a bit. Hopefully this bug will be gone soon. Hubs recovered in about 1 week.
Sound shot everywhere. Glad the cats are still appearing for the food.

My son is away on vacation and returning in another week or so.

Sheba, too hot for trails plus i caught a cold. Hubs was sick on our short trip and I told him we didn’t have to go but he is Stubborn with a capital S. That’s a good thing and a bad thing. lol.

It’s hot here and everywhere so I am inside resting about to get some Pepperment Green Tea from Andrew Lessman and ice it down.

Those poor cats, hope they have a cool spot.

Oodie, read your post from 2 days ago about the AC and Shoelady. I remember those window AC’s but we didn’t have them when living back East. I remember being awake all night as a kid living briefly in RI due to the heat. Hope the AC works itself out before long you may not need it!
Shoelady did say she was tired and wanted a Social Media break so hopefully that all it is.
I had a great nights sleep when my phone died while in Europe on Vacation. Lucky for me hubs brought a backup.
