I had to bring in my three new baskets of flowers last night. Lows in the 30s all weekend and freeze warnings.🥶 I knew that would happen as soon as I bought them.

Hubs took my car to get new tires this morning, tomorrow he will get the oil changed so I will be good to go.🛞 That’s one job that is all his – as long as my car starts I am happy.😊 He was building a race car when I met him.

Oz is a bit on the chilly side tonight. I am still going across the street to fed the
cat and the moon in OZ looks exactly like the one in my Avatar that is me all the way.

The animals will all be out watching just watching I make a quick dash across the
street gown blowing and hair blowing in the night wind I love it the only people out
are me and the animals I have done this for decades. 💕🎈I follow the Moon Phase
through all the quarters and it is amazing to look at and then I focus on the stars
and the planets what a wonderful world. This is every single night. 💕

This is my nightly ritual and it helps me sleep and think better. Lady during the times
it’s too cold i just stand at my front door which is Glass from top to bottom and I the
moon still has the same effect I am just warmer during those months. 😎💕

Enjoyed Costco yesterday and brought a few things for the nurse’s station. I am sure the nurses gave hubs the message. He is showing some signs of short term memory loss. But, that has been an issue for awhile now. I forgot to mention that the hotdog at the takeout added a new thing. The price hasn’t changed. The new addition is now you have a choice of either Coke or bottled water. That’s good news for me since Coke is a sulfite in all their beverages.

It feels good that I can now venture outside. The wind is now the question mark. So far so good. The meds are working and that is what matters the most.

Enjoy your day. The weekend is just around the corner. Cannot believe how fast this week is going as well as the goodbye to April.

Good day in Oz. So disappointed in the game and it was so long going into overtime.😞 I really wanted them to tie it up and come back here for game 7 on Saturday. Not to be. I would rather they had lost 5-0. Both teams played well – on to next year.

When she was 14, her parents were going through a divorce but agreed on one thing: because she was considered “unmanageable,” they sent her to a family home for troubled girls run by the infamous Irish nuns. This wasn’t just a school; it was An Grianán, part of the notorious Magdalene Laundries.
For Sinéad O’Connor, this was the beginning of a lifelong battle against systems that try to break the human spirit.
Sinéad grew up in a house where fear was a daily guest. She was open about the “extremely barbaric” behavior of her mother, describing a childhood filled with physical abuse and being forced to shoplift. “My mother was an extremely violent person,” she once said. “Someone who wasn’t well.”
When her father finally gained custody, the damage was already deep. These early years created the “Queen of suffering souls,” an artist who could sing about pain because she knew it better than anyone.
In 1987, she released *The Lion and the Cobra*. With her shaved head and fierce gaze, she looked nothing like the pop stars of the time. She drew inspiration from the “righteous fury” of Bob Dylan and the energy of punk.
Then, in 1990, her cover of Prince’s “Nothing Compares 2 U” made her a global superstar. But Sinéad didn’t care about the fame or the Grammys. She was a rebel who refused to play the industry’s games.
Her most famous moment of defiance happened in October 1992 on Saturday Night Live. She looked into the camera and tore up a photo of Pope John Paul II. She was screaming for the victims of clerical abuse before the rest of the world was ready to listen.
The backlash was brutal. She was called “crazy” and became a social pariah.
“In the 10 years after that Saturday Night Live performance, the way I was treated was shocking,” she wrote in her book, *Remembering*. “It was fashionable to treat me badly.”
Yet, she never looked back with regret.
She saw the scandal as her “salvation,” a way to escape the trap of being a pop icon and return to being a protest singer who told the truth, no matter the cost.
The later years of her life were marked by a very public struggle with mental illness. She shared her pain through distressing videos and messages, trying to break the stigma surrounding mental health.
In 2022, she faced her greatest tragedy when her 17-year-old son, Shane, passed away. It was a loss that broke her heart in a way she couldn’t fix.
Sinéad passed away on July 26, 2023, at the age of 56. While there was much speculation at first, the coroner later confirmed she died of natural causes, including COPD and bronchial asthma. She left behind a legacy of raw honesty and a voice that never wavered in the face of authority.
She was Sinéad O’Connor, a rebel, a hurt mother, a spirit who never gave up looking for light in the dark. An angel with a broken voice who now sings somewhere else, finally free from her bonds.

Oodie the cat is permitted to eat off the porch he was the first cat I befriended.
This cat is really an outdoor cat the female cat is jealous and don’t want him to eat
but I beg the differ. This is my porch and I buy the food and take care of all four cats.
All animals are permitted to eat. Well I don’t care for the Racoons because
they can be dangerous for the other animals. 😎

I spend a good deal of money taking care of animals and I don’t mind at all. The female
cat will fight the male cat so he stays across the street I see him in the camera and run
and get food to take to him and I mean every night. Some nights it’s just me, the moon and
the animals. 😎💕

Oh but I put Miss Kitty in check the same as I would do to anyone. I told her never to bother
him and I meant it. Time will tell if she do as I say but being a Cat who knows. I just don’t
like fighting and running another cat off that was here before she was. That is the story. 💕😎

I love animals better than some people they are not annoying. I think we all feel that way
at times. 😎🎈

Just returned from seeing hubs. He mentioned that no one told him I was having sinus issues, yet I phoned daily. He was worried, concerned, and scared thinking something happened to me. I have a feeling that the staff didn’t want him to worry so they didn’t give him the updates.

I did make a stop at Costco. I bought some food items and tried their appetizers. Thought of your hubby on one item because it was hot hot hot. Very spicy and oh so good. But, I didn’t purchase it because of the salt. This was a Ramen soup and with over 1000mils of salt, I left it. Great to try. I need to return for gas and a few other items.

Guess you have a wicked witch for a cat. I really like the way you make sure that everyone gets fed. I know I would do the same. And, that is how I met Mensch. Arrived home from a meeting and found a cat at our doorstep looking for food. All I had at the time was a can of tuna which I gave him. Guess he enjoyed the meal so much, he waited for me every night. It took months before he let me touch him and then one day he came up to the front door and I let him in. He stayed just for a few seconds, but kept returning and then stayed. He knew I would let him outside. I hope that some of these cats will begin to trust you.

It is very humid here. Temp is 76 as I type. A little windy. Just enough for me to feel the sinus issues. But it isn’t as bad. I am hoping for some decent rain. Things look good and then at the last minute it goes somewhere else. My planting will just need to wait. Better days ahead, I hope.

Good Evening Lady Hallmark started in this region I live in and in fact I use to work
at Hallmark I worked for the CEO and his family are in the Fortune 500. The thing is
he was always so nice to me his carpet in his office was so thick I had to be careful
in my heels when walking in his office. 💕😎

Belated birthday greetings to your dad in heaven. I actually started this post hours ago only for it to go poof. It is somewhere out in oblivion. I always thought that one gets used to the idea that a parent or parents are no longer with us. There are years that seem to be easier than others. Then there are tims that it is hard and the tears flow. Both my parents are gone, but the memories are still there. The family get togeths, graduations, wedding, just to name a few. The pictures are there and the memories.

The sinus issues are still there, but now it is bearable. I do not wish this on anyone. The tree pollen count on the Gulf Coast is sky high. Our next rain event is Sunday when we expect at least an inch of some much needed showers. Not sure for the rest of the week. Sunday will also bring some relief to the humidity and high temps for the day or may be longer. Just wish the weather people would get it right.

I can just picture you running across the street with a dish in your hands for the poor kitty that is not permitted to be on your porch. That’s a story that is waiting to be told. To think he now has a real “doordash” person who caters on a daily basis. Cute……

Pretty dreary today, the sun is just peeking out now.☀️ Rain tomorrow and getting quite chilly the rest of the week. Hubs already said he’s not going golfing Sunday since the temps are supposed to be in the 30s in the morning.

Pleasantly surprised with the game last night, they looked good and got a few lucky bounces.🏒 Being down 3-0 early, every game could be our last. Still keeping fingers crossed.🤞

I am finally getting better from all the allergy attacks. All I can say is that the meds finally kicked in. Hopefully, tomorrow I will be able to make a stop at the Farmer’s Market and then see hubs. We definitely need some raindrops to wipe away the pollen.The nursing staff and the receptionists have been extremely helpful. I do have a doctor’s appointment next week and I hope everything will be OK. Now maybe I can start the spring cleaning, though I think summer has arrived in the Gulf coast. Our night temps will now be in the 70s and 80s during the day. One definitely needs to take there allergy meds before trouble starts.

Somber day for me as I am remembering my dad. 💕

I hope you have a good day where you can just relax sometimes I wonder if that is
even possible. LOL! I am speaking of OZ. Good news is the wildfire in GA is clearing up.

I was very concerned because all four of our children live there along with other relatives.
Something funny the kids all say with the exception of visiting us they are never moving
back to OZ. I can tell you now they made good on that. Still we meet up in GA or Colorado.
The kids do come home to visit us and I love it. 💕😎

Good day in Oz. Since the ‘burgh is chilly today, I’m making chili for dinner, lol! Hubs golf league started this morning and he was cold playing in the 40s.🥶 Got sunny about an hour ago and it is near 60 right now.

You know I will be thinking of your dad. Since he passed I always say special prayers for him on his birthday.🙏💕 Thank you for thinking of mom.

Well, we won last night so we have at least one more game tomorrow. We shall see,,,,,

In July 1945, a group of thirteen years old girls went camping. They swam at a river in Ruidoso, New Mexico. The girl in front of the picture is Barbara Kent. What the girls did not know is that nearby, the Manhattan Project detonated a nuclear bomb as a test…
Kent described what happened that day:
“We were all just shocked … and then, all of a sudden, there was this big cloud overhead, and lights in the sky,” Kent recalls. “It even hurt our eyes when we looked up. The whole sky turned strange. It was as if the sun came out tremendous.” A few hours later, she says, white flakes began to fall from above. Excited, the girls put on their bathing suits and, amid the flurries, began playing in the river. “We were grabbing all of this white, which we thought was snow, and we were putting it all over our faces,” Kent says. “But the strange thing, instead of being cold like snow, it was hot. And we all thought, ‘Well, the reason it’s hot is because it’s summer.’ We were just 13 years old.”
The flakes were fallout from the Manhattan Project’s Trinity test, the world’s first atomic bomb detonation. It took place at 5:29 a.m. local time atop a hundred-foot steel tower 40 miles away at the Alamogordo Bombing and Gunnery Range, in Jornada del Muerto valley. The site had been selected in part for its supposed isolation. In reality, thousands of people were within a 40-mile radius, some as close as 12 miles away. Yet those living near the bomb site weren’t warned of the test. Nor were they evacuated beforehand or afterward, even as radioactive fallout continued to drop for days…
Barbara Kent and all her friends developed cancer. Every single one of the girls you see in that photo, died before the age of thirty. The only one who lived longer was Kent. And she, too, developed and survived several bouts of cancer. People often forget of the heavy price paid not only by those the atomic bombs were dropped on in Japan, but even by those who lived nearby as they were first developed.
Dapo Michaels one, fascinated by science, who worked in the project. Wasn’t aware of the effect and long term effect. When he saw it, his brain paid him back. He went crazy out of shame, felt responsible and blamed himself. Within a few years he was not able to live at home anymore and went to a mental hospital and died..
