Conversation 27
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is number 27 out of the
series. I created and started this thread 10 years ago.😎🎈
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe. 🌹✨😎

NATIONAL COOK FOR YOUR PETS DAY
November 1st celebrates National Cook For Your Pets Day. This national holiday encourages cooking something for the pet companion in your life.
You love your pet. And you want to provide what is best for them. So why not try to make them healthy, home-cooked food? No matter what kind of pet you have – dog, cat, lizard, mouse, get cooking!
A lot of people these days are concerned about the food they eat and where that food, or the ingredients, come from. Most of our food supply today is processed and loaded with fillers. The same applies to our pet food. Animals need to eat a natural diet to be at optimal health, and most of the pet food you buy has a lot of unnatural things in it. If you cook or make your own pet food at home, you are in control.
It’s best to start by consulting with your vet. Veterinarians will know just what your pet’s nutrition needs are. Additionally, they will have ample advice that can be tailored for you and your furry loved one. Next, do some research. Some foods should be avoided since they could be detrimental to your pet’s health. A couple of things to avoid are chocolate, onions, avocados, garlic, salt, yeast dough, tomato leaves and stems, and milk-based foods.
Your next step in this adventure would be to decide what will be on your pet’s menu. The internet can be your friend with this, by helping you to find recipes and different ideas.
And last, but not least, enjoy yourself in this culinary adventure. Our pets do a lot for us. They give us unconditional love, so celebrate National Cook For Your Pets Day by giving them that kind of love back in a delicious, nutritious home-cooked meal!

Hubby was in good spirits when I arrived. I made a stope at the Farmer’s Market and brought some surprises. The ride from the Market to the Rehab took over an hour. The traffic has been pretty heavy since the hurricane. I am wondering if tourists are the culprit. It has never been this bad in all the years I’ve been coming to the West Coast. I surmise that people want to see the after effects of a hurricane. I can say it’s not pretty. Anyway, instead of taking 20 minutes to go from the Market to the Rehab, it was well over an hour with stop and go traffic. Can you imagine what it would have been like if there was road work. YIKES!!!!
The surprises were Amish chili and strawberry cheesecake. He said that Culver’s so far has the best chili. Your hubby would have loved this dish as it was very hot hot hot. He absolutely loved the strawberry cheesecake and wanted a second helping. Suffice to say one was enough.
Before I left I tried to put the bed down to almost ground level. For some reason the mattress kept sliding to the right.. Hubby was about to fall out of bed and thus I rang for help. In this case someone came to my aid almost immediately. Between the two of us we were able to move things back to normal. Tomorrow our favorite aide will be here and maybe we will be able to switch the bed around or find a new one. Luckily, I was able to stand near him until the help arrived. This was real scary.
No, there were no clowns, dogs, cats or anyone dressed in costume. No decorations either. However the Rehab does go all out for the holidays beginning with Thanksgiving. I am hoping I can find a fresh turkey. The Farmer’s Market has started making their cranberry relish. I think they are using my recipe. This year I will purchase from the Market. It will be one less thing to worry about.
Halloween is not a big thing in our community. We rarely see anyone and so I didn’t buy any goodies to give out. Besides, I was at the Rehab and it was extremely quiet.
