Conversation – 21

  • Sheba2011

Good Day Peeps in our Wonderful Community this is Thread number 21 of the Conversation Series. 😎😉

I created and started this thread nearly 10 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎

I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please stay safe. 🌹✨😎

      @sheba2011

I had such plans for today. Lights are now working, outside as well. However, my body had other plans and it did not include work. I had to contact the rehab to say I would not be there. Rested the entire day. The cough lingers on and part of it is due to sinuses. The oak trees in Florida are falling like crazy. There is one maple tree about two miles from here turning a bright red and yellow. This the first time ever that I have seen a maple tree in our area, or any area for that matter. Anyway, while relaxing decided to go through the mountains of papers that hubby kept.
There wasn’t one box lot that didn’t contain papers. I spent the entire day doing that and I still have more to look at. It looks as if I haven’t made the slightest dent. So glad that I purchased a few plastic containers for sorting. I put a label on all and looks like I will need to purchase several more. By the way Terminix has not returned after my phone call on Saturday. I am reporting this so others do not go through the hassle that I have. I lost all the new furniture and then some. It’s a good time to take everything down and get the walls painted. The old TV is gone and the new one (which is not the newest on the market) is still boxed. I will contact Spectrum as soon as I am a little more organized. The plumber is next. Will call as soon as I clean the shower and get rid of the clutter around the sink. And that brings up another problem. What to do with prescripts that are outdated as well as “over the counter items.” My next door neighbor is a nurse. She first recommended returning those items where purchased. The best idea was to bring them to the Sheriff or Police station where they have the tools to do away with them and that also includes the empty bottles that you have no use for.

I did watch Heidi. She always brings a smile and laughter and as you know that is the best medicine. I put a few things into favorites. The expenses in October were out of sight. So time to recoup and regroup. This will be difficult with all the sales coming up. Right now I have my sights on a dinette set in wicker. Yep, the varmints attacked that also. The price is within budget, but will take a look at it in person to be sure that it will fit the space. Truth be told, I never liked the set that was left by the previous owner. I’ve been looking for a replacement for years and the wicker one I found several months ago and kept my eye on it. Price went down 50% and will go down again during the weekend. Same furniture that I had purchased the sofa and loveseat from.

Today is garbage and recycle. I decided to redo the kitchen cupboards again (they look OK, but will use Clean Boss anyway). I will be redoing the dishes. I forgot to bring the vinegar into the kitchen to clean out the dishwasher prior to use. I put two cups of vinegar into the bottom and let the dishwasher do it’s job without the utensils, glasses, plates, etc.. Because it hadn’t been used in some time I will do this twice.

I am concerned that we haven’t heard from xango. I hope she and her hubby are OK.

      @oodiebom,

You have a lot going on and I know you being the woman you are you will get it done.
I love buying new furniture but I hate the critters I a play at it.

I hope your insurance is covering some of these expenses with the house.

Oodie I like that you stayed home what can you do if you are sick and make your husband
sick too you did the right thing and I know you will make it up.

Oodie just for your viewing please Heidi Daus will be back on today I will post her schedule
again. All this news on the telly is getting to me as it should all of us.

Good afternoon in the ‘burgh. I hope you are warm and cozy. 😉😎
We had a few kids drop by last night and it was fun handing out candy.
This time of year is when we really miss our four kids. 💕🎈

Lady good luck to your team on their next Game on the 4th. 😎

Good afternoon to you. Brisk and cold here, places north of us got snow last night.❄🥶 We will be in the 20s tonight and 40s tomorrow, then a slight warm up.

Glad you enjoyed your Halloween.🎃 We don’t get any kids because my road is dark and the homes are not that close together. About a mile up the road there is a plan of homes so most kids go there. Are your children coming home for Thanksgiving or Christmas?

Mom and sis are fine, back to their usual running around. Will probably go get nails done and have lunch within the next week.💅

Stay warm, sending hugs to you and Poppy.🤗💖

      Finding Our Own Paths

Beginning our spiritual path is highly personal and we all enter a path that speaks to us, even if it is different from our neighbor.

Entering into our own spirituality is a private journey. Each of us will be drawn to a different gateway to begin on our personal path to awakening to a greater experience of ourselves. Even though we may be taught certain philosophies or beliefs as children, we still need to find our own way of understanding and applying them in our lives. For those who are raised without a spiritual framework, they may not even know their process as a form of spirituality. But at some stage in their lives, whether in youth or adulthood, they are likely to recognize the resonance of their beliefs, the ring of truth in their philosophy, and their dedication to their chosen purpose.

Our inner guidance will lead us, so that we will be drawn to the right doorway for us — a doorway that only we can recognize by the way it makes us feel inside. It could be a picture of an angel or the gift of a crystal. We may meet someone special who shares their experiences with us in a way that we find intriguing. While visiting the home of an admired friend, we may notice a book or statue of a deity, and ask why they chose those tools. Or a word or phrase may catch our attention in a song, or a lecture. For some they may find their way by walking through the experience of illness before they begin the search for what will help them to truly heal, while others may seek physical improvement and stumble across yoga or meditation — only to find that it leads them to an unexpected place beyond the body.

As we awaken to ourselves and to life, we will become more attuned to what is right for us. The universe speaks to all of us through infinite channels, but we each have our own frequency. Others may share what worked for them, but only we can decide what truly makes us feel inspired, awakened, connected, fully conscious, aware and alive. Whatever our path, it is perfect and is meant especially for us. AMEN! 🎈🎈

The crew completed everything by 3 pm.. I also contacted the electrician on the laundry room issue. Seems the unwanted guests had chewed the wires. In this area I am happy to say that it needed to be rewired for many years. I’m so thankful that everything is done and the people were nice to work with. I have their name and phone and number in case this ever happens again. The house is radiant. Our Stearns and Foster mattress will now go into our guest bedroom and the new one will go into the Master. I now need to have someone look at the bed frame to see why the mattress fits on one side and not the other. I also went on line last night and found a dinette set that is perfect for Florida. It’s a glass wicker set and I’ve eyed it for quite a few months. Glad I waited. Now on sale. Yes, I am tired. However, I need some cough medicine and hubby has what I use in his room. So, now to get dress and take a ride. I will bring the Kindle with me so he can have a look as well. Have a great afternoon. The moon has been beautiful the last couple of nights. Such wonderful light to show the way. Thought of you walking Poppy.

      We Are Family

Every person we meet, see, hear, or read about is a member of our family. We are truly not alone.

When it comes to our families, we sometimes see only our differences. We see the way our parents cling to ideas we don’t believe, or act in ways we try not to copy. We see how practical one of our siblings is and wonder how we can be from the same gene pool. Similarly, within the human family we see how different we are from each other, in ways ranging from gender and race to geographical location and religious beliefs. It is almost as if we think we are a different species sometimes. But the truth is, in our personal families as well as the human family, we really are the same.

A single mother of four living in Africa looks up at the same stars and moon that shine down on an elderly Frenchman in Paris. A Tibetan monk living in India, a newborn infant in China, and a young couple saying their marriage vows in Indiana all breathe the same air, by the same process. We have all been hurt and we have all cried. Each one of us knows how it feels to love someone dearly. No matter what our political views are, we all love to laugh. Regardless of how much or how little money we have, our hearts pump blood through our bodies in the same way. With all this in common, it is clear we are each individual members of the same family. We are human.

Acknowledging how close we all are, instead of clinging to what separates us, enables us to feel less alone in the world. Every person we meet, see, hear, or read about is a member of our family. We are truly not alone. We also begin to see that we are perfectly capable of understanding and relating to people who, on the surface, may seem very different from us. This awareness prevents us from disconnecting from people on the other side of the tracks, and the other side of the world. We begin to understand that we must treat all people for what they are — family. AMEN! 😎💕

I am exhausted. There are two men here and a lady. Between my lower back and my hacking I have not been much help. I am going to purchase another Stearns and Foster mattress from Costco. It’s the same one that both of us have. However, our bed needs to be dismantled so that we can get the correct bed nails to support it. This is what happens when you do it yourself. If it wasn’t for a friend of ours that had the same thing happen, I would never have known. Unfortunately, I can not ask him whom he used since he pased away about 3 years ago. The one thing I can say is that both of us bought from the same retailer. Who knew that the help removed the correct nails and used different ones. That could be the reason they are no longer in business.

I have contacted the rehab to let them know I will not be there this evening. I also mentioned this to hubby last night. I am glad to use this service. It is tons of work and my new furniture is being tossed. Seems they tore into the fabric and then some. The good news is that my old microwave is working and I gladly cancelled the delivery and the order. Refund should occur immediately. Tons of things have been donated and discarded. Now will again go through tons of boxes in the MB filled with papers that hubby was saving. Guess tonight I will have soup since everything else doesn’t sound too appetizing.

Will add more later if I can.

Hmm…..to continue. I think the owner of this business needs to be honest. The crew he sent over consisted of three people. When he mentioned crew I had assumed five or more and the job would be over in one day. He just phoned me twice. Wanted to know if I gave his people a check. I had to tell him twice that he would be paid when the job was done. He claimed that he told me that he wanted a check today. Funny, I do not recall that part of the conversation. As of right now I do not trust this man. He was supposed to be here and of course was a no show. Needless to say, the dishwasher and the microwave are in working order. I will be contacting the plumber and the electrician in the morning. Hopefully, they will be here this week.

I do not like this how dare he demand a check before work is finished and give it to his
crew. I would have someone there with me when he comes over to pick up the check.

Oodie please check back in when this is over. I don’t like it he sounds like a bully.
I wish I were there I would put my heels up his assets. ✨I feel he should get paid when
      the work is done.

      Anything Can be Overcome

Even when it seems like you have nowhere left to turn, there is a solution waiting for you. Always.

The journey that each human being makes through earthly existence can have hardship as often as it is touched by joy. When we encounter adversity, the stress we feel can erode our optimism, eventually convincing us that the issues we face cannot be overcome. In truth, there is no situation so dire, no challenge so great, and no choice so bewildering that it cannot be overcome. Though we may believe that all avenues have been closed to us or that our most conscientious efforts will come to naught, we are never without feasible options. The best course of action may be veiled in doubt, but it is there. When we are honest with ourselves with regard to this simple fact, we can overcome anything because we will never stop looking for a solution to the challenges before us.

Self-trust coupled with a sturdy plan is the ultimate antidote to adversity’s tendency to inspire disillusionment in the human mind. As difficult as the obstacle plaguing you seems, it is no match for the love of a supportive universe that has been a part of your life since the day of your birth and will be with you forevermore. Try not to be misguided by your fear as this gives rise to the notion that there are problems without solutions. If you believe in your capabilities and dedicate yourself to the creation of some form of resolution, you will be surprised to discover that paths that were once closed to you miraculously open. Even if all you can do is change your perspective to turn an impediment into an opportunity to grow, you will have found the hope that is an inherent element of all hardship.

Remember that your destiny is a product of your own creation. Even when it seems you have nowhere left to turn, there is a solution waiting for you. The only insurmountable obstacles are the ones you create in your own mind — and these can only exert power over you if you let them. Uncertainty will always be a part of your existence, but perseverance and mindfulness will never fail to see you through to the other side of hardship where joy can thrive. Try and remember that no matter what life places at your feet, there is absolutely no situation that cannot be resolved with time, love, and friendship. AMEN! 🎈😎

      The Rembrandts Lyrics
“I’ll Be There For You (Theme From Friends)”

So no one told you life was gonna be this way
      Your job’s a joke, you’re broke, your love life’s D.O.A.
It’s like you’re always stuck in second gear
When it hasn’t been your day, your week, your month, or even your year, but

      I’ll be there for you
(When the rain starts to pour)
      I’ll be there for you
      (Like I’ve been there before)
      I’ll be there for you
(‘Cause you’re there for me too)

You’re still in bed at ten and work began at eight
You’ve burned your breakfast, so far things are going great
Your mother warned you there’d be days like these
But she didn’t tell you when the world has brought you down to your knees that

      I’ll be there for you
(When the rain starts to pour)
      I’ll be there for you
      (Like I’ve been there before)
      I’ll be there for you
(‘Cause you’re there for me too)

No one could ever know me
No one could ever see me
Seems you’re the only one who knows what it’s like to be me
Someone to face the day with, make it through all the rest with
      Someone I’ll always laugh with
Even at my worst, I’m best with you, yeah!

It’s like you’re always stuck in second gear
When it hasn’t been your day, your week, your month, or even your year

      I’ll be there for you
(When the rain starts to pour)
      I’ll be there for you
      (Like I’ve been there before)
      I’ll be there for you
(‘Cause you’re there for me too)

      I’ll be there for you
      I’ll be there for you
      I’ll be there for you

      @sheba2011

I did feel a bit better today(Sunday). I tried to work on the bathroom, but decided to get up early Monday morning to put things in place. Instead I drove to Costco to pick up a few items that I will need once the work is done. I even filled the van with $3.03/gal. Now purring like a kitten. Stopped at Culver’s following and picked up two chilies (absolutely delicious) and a fish sandwich. From there it was just a three mile jaunt to Rehab and hubby was excited to see me. He was very concerned. Thankfully, I didn’t get into a coughing fit, though I had meds there just in case. Left there earlier than I anticipated and fell asleep for a few hours. Alarm is set for an early rise. While the guys are here will put the oven on self clean once they determine that it is safe to do so. Not sure if I will visit hubby following. Depends upon what time work is finished. Hubby asked what they were charging and he was not happy. Problem is that there are not too many people who do this type of work and so they can ask anything. I bet that next year we will have more expert cleaners and the price will come down. I have asked if they do percentages off if hubby has prior military service. It’s a thorough cleaning process that also includes ceiling, walls, woodwork, floors, furniture, etc.. Also pictures and frames. I think I mentioned that I will be ordering a new mattress. The person who owns the business will return the day it is delivered and will make sure that it is set up properly. I now need to hunt for an air mattress for the side of the bed in case hubby falls. He has been fine thus far in rehab, but has scared the nursing staff and me when he moves too close to the edge. My other concern here is that the bed is metal and hubby put it together himself. Not realizing that the nails in the box were not conducive the bed is not right and thus the mattress will be missing the support on one side. I am hoping that the team can recommend someone to make it right. That’s it for now. It’s after 2 am and I need some beauty sleep. I hope the rugs fit the lanai—cannot be returned at this point, but thankfully, they will fit the Cape house in the dining area and our deck. May even work in the basement after the furniture is in place. For that area on the Cape, I will get hubby an elevator chair so he won’t have to climb the stairs or have a fall on the way down. Not sure at this point if he will ever have reconstructive surgery of both knees because of the short term memory loss due to dementia. However, on this note, I have been informed that there is a new medication that is almost ready to come on the market. They are doing trials and thus far it looks OK. Only one pill per day. In hubby’s case, the dementia may totally disappear for good.

Enjoy the rest of the week. Love that you are feeding the kitties and others. Wonder if any will join you indoors. Have a feeling that when the weather really changes they may love being curled up by the fireplace. Hope xango is feeling better. Miss her postings.

Good day in the beautiful ‘burgh. Lady we are downright cold in OZ. I have the heat on
and one of the fireplaces. Fall was fast but story goes we may warm up next week.

I watch the World Series off and on our regional team did not have a good year.
I do go to our Baseball Games I love it. 💕😎

Hubby will deal with the leaves another day because we are raining. The leaves look
beautiful but a pain to get up LOL!

Enjoy your day and stay warm. Sis tells me Colorado is cold and snowing.

Sending warm hugs to you and Jake’s Canvas. 💕🎈😎

I was up early and fed four outdoor cats and they were hungry.

    “Thriller” – Michael Jackson

It’s close to midnight and something evil’s lurkin’ in the dark
Under the moonlight you see a sight that almost stops your heart
You try to scream but terror takes the sound before you make it
You start to freeze as horror looks you right between the eyes,
    You’re paralyzed

‘Cause this is thriller, thriller night
And no one’s gonna save you from the beast about to strike
You know it’s thriller, thriller night
You’re fighting for your life inside a killer, thriller tonight
    Yeah
    Ooh

You hear the door slam and realize there’s nowhere left to run
You feel the cold hand and wonder if you’ll ever see the sun
You close your eyes and hope that this is just imagination, girl
But all the while you hear a creature creepin’ up behind
    You’re outta time

‘Cause this is thriller, thriller night
There ain’t no second chance against the thing with the forty eyes, girl
    Thriller, ooh, thriller night
You’re fighting for your life inside a killer, thriller tonight

    Night creatures call
And the dead start to walk in their masquerade
There’s no escaping the jaws of the alien this time (they’re open wide)
This is the end of your life, ooh

They’re out to get you, there’s demons closing in on every side (ooh)
They will possess you unless you change that number on your dial
Now is the time for you and I to cuddle close together, yeah
All through the night I’ll save you from the terror on the screen,
    I’ll make you see

That this is thriller, thriller night
‘Cause I can thrill you more than any ghoul could ever dare try
    Thriller, ooh, thriller night
So let me hold you tight and share a killer, thriller, chiller
    Thriller here tonight

‘Cause this is thriller, thriller night
Girl, I can thrill you more than any ghoul could ever dare try
    Thriller, ooh, thriller night
So let me hold you tight and share a killer, thriller (ow)

    I’m gonna thrill you tonight

    [Vincent Price:]
    Darkness falls across the land
The midnight hour is close at hand
Creatures crawl in search of blood
    To terrorize y’all’s neighborhood
    (I’m gonna thrill you tonight)
    And whomsoever shall be found
Without the soul for getting down
Must stand and face the hounds of
And rot inside a corpse’s shell

    [Michael Jackson:]
    I’m gonna thrill you tonight…

    Thriller, ooh, babe (Thriller)
I’m gonna thrill you tonight (Thriller night)
    Thriller, oh, darling (Oh, baby)
I’m gonna thrill you tonight (Thriller)
    Ooh, babe (Thriller night)
I’m gonna thrill you tonight (Thriller)
    Oh, darling (Oh, baby)
Thriller night, babe (Thriller night, babe)
    Ooh

    [Vincent Price:]
The foulest stench is in the air
The funk of forty thousand years
    (Thriller night, thriller)
And grisly ghouls from every tomb
Are closing in to seal your doom
And though you fight to stay alive
    Your body starts to shiver
    (I’m gonna thrill you tonight)
For no mere mortal can resist
    The evil of the thriller

Witchcraft – Song by Frank Sinatra

      Those fingers in my hair
      That sly come hither stare
      That strips my conscience bare
      It’s witchcraft
And i’ve got no defense for it
The heat is too intense for it
What good would common sense for it do
      ‘Cause it’s witchcraft wicked witchcraft
And although i know it’s strictly taboo
When you arouse the need in my
My heart says yes indeed in me
Proceed with what your leading me to
      It’s such an ancient pitch
      But one i wouldn’t switch
‘Cause there’s no nicer witch than you

      Monster Mash
Song by Bobby “Boris” Pickett & The Crypt Kickers

I was working in the lab late one night
When my eyes beheld an eerie sight
For my monster from his slab began to rise
      And suddenly to my surprise
      He did the Monster Mash
      (The Monster Mash)
      It was a graveyard smash
      (He did the Mash)
It caught on in a flash
      (He did the Mash)
      He did the Monster Mash
From my laboratory in the castle east
To the master bedroom where the vampires feast
The ghouls all came from their humble abodes
To get a jolt from my electrodes
      They did the Monster Mash
      (The Monster Mash)
      It was a graveyard smash
      (They did the Mash)
It caught on in a flash
      (They did the Mash)
      They did the Monster Mash
      The zombies were having fun
      The party had just begun
      The guests included Wolf Man
      Dracula and his son
The scene was rockin’, all were diggin’ the sounds
Igor on chains, backed by his baying hounds
The coffin-bangers were about to arrive
With their vocal group, “The Crypt-Kicker Five”
      They played the Monster Mash
      (The Monster Mash)
      It was a graveyard smash
      (They played the Mash)
It caught on in a flash
      (They played the Mash)
      They played the Monster Mash
Out from his coffin, Drac’s voice did ring
Seems he was troubled by just one thing
He opened the lid and shook his fist
      And said
“Whatever happened to my Transylvania twist?”
      It’s now the Monster Mash
      (The Monster Mash)
      And it’s a graveyard smash
      (It’s now the Mash)
It’s caught on in a flash
      (It’s now the Mash)
      It’s now the Monster Mash
Now everything’s cool, Drac’s a part of the band
And my Monster Mash is the hit of the land
For you, the living, this Mash was meant too
When you get to my door, tell them Boris sent you
      Then you can Monster Mash
      (The Monster Mash)
      And do my graveyard smash
      (Then you can Mash)
You’ll catch on in a flash
      (Then you can Mash)
      Then you can Monster Mash

      “Spooky” – Classic IV

In the cool of the evenin’
When everything is gettin’ kind of groovy
I call you up and ask you if you’d like to
Go with me and see a movie

      First you say no
You’ve got some plans for the night
And then you stop, and say, all right
Love is kinda crazy with a spooky little girl like you

      You always keep me guessin’
I never seem to know what you are thinkin’
And if a fella looks at you
It’s for sure your little eye will be a-winkin’

      I get confused
      ‘Cause I don’t know where I stand
And then you smile and hold my hand
Love is kinda crazy with a spooky little girl like you
      Spooky, heh, yeah

If you decide someday to stop
This little game that you are playin’
I’m gonna tell you all the things
My heart’s been a-dyin’ to be sayin’

      Just like a ghost
      You’ve been a-hauntin’ my dreams
      So I’ll propose on Halloween
Love is kinda crazy with a spooky little girl like you

      Spooky, spooky
Oh, whoa, all right, I said spooky
Oh, yeah, yeah, I said spooky
      Yeah, yeah
      Oh spooky, spooky
      I said spooky

National Chocolate Day, celebrated each October 28, is nothing short of a special tribute to mankind’s greatest culinary invention. (Sorry, pizza.) Chocolate can enhance even the most luxurious dessert items. On the other hand, you can get your fix from a simple candy bar. Hint: Try for chocolate with a “high cacao” percentage and low added sugar.

      HISTORY OF NATIONAL CHOCOLATE DAY

The history of chocolate goes back 2,500 years. Aztecs loved their newly discovered liquid chocolate to the extent that they believed Quetzalcoatl, the god of wisdom, literally bestowed it upon them. Cacao seeds acted as a form of currency. And this was back in the “bitter” chocolate days — before they added sugar! Once chocolate turned sweet — in 16th-century Europe — the masses caught on and turned chocolate into a powerhouse treat.

Several present-day chocolate companies began operations in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Cadbury started in England by 1868. Milton S. Hershey, 25 years later, purchased chocolate processing equipment at the World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago He started the company by producing chocolate-coated caramels. Nestlé, dating back to the 1860s, has grown into one of the largest food conglomerates in the world.

Did you know that chocolate is a fermented food? That’s right, once the cacao pods are picked, cleaned of pithy white material from the fruit and dried, the cacao beans are fermented. The papery shell is removed and cacao nibs are revealed. Chocolatiers then grind them into cocoa mass, separate them into cocoa solids and cocoa butter, and combine them with milk and sugar, or in the case of white chocolate, just the chocolate butter with milk and sugar.

Today there’s a move toward dark chocolate since it contains far less sugar. Ghana, Ecuador, and the Ivory Coast, all near the equator, have ideal climates for cacao trees and produce some of the world’s best chocolate. It’s best to look for dark chocolate from those regions.

But there’s a dark side. Child labor has become a serious issue. When you purchase “fair trade chocolate,” you’re working to help make cocoa farming more sustainable. Keep this in mind and choose your chocolate wisely.

Well, the power went out as I was typing. Returned and was happy that everything remained or so it seemed. Even went through recaptcha without a problem. But, after that, everything vanished and so I am starting over.

I still have the sniffles and did not venture out or saw hubby today. He is doing OK and I want to keep it that way. Besides, he would be very upset that he isn’t home to take care of me. It will be so nice to have him home again. The guys coming to help me get the house in order will be here Monday morning and will stay until all rooms are done. From what I understand they will be moving the frig and stove out just to be sure there are no nests or anything in those areas. The person who is the head of this cleaning crew also mentioned that they will be taking the drawers a part as well which is OK by me. I have also contacted Terminix to return to see where the animals are coming from. I have a feeling it could be the den door which leads out to the Lanai even though there are no remnants in that area outside. The furniture on the lanai will be removed to the carport for washing. Thankfully, they will do it and they will clean the lanai as well. I surmise that’s their starting point. The loveseat in the den and the sofas in the Great room will go outside for cleaning and to be sure they are still in excellent condition. I have no idea how they will remove anything else in that room because the furniture is quite heavy. I do have the saucers for moving heavy furniture and it will come in handy. Once everything is done, then furniture can be returned and then go on to the next room. I will be there watching and saying what goes and what stays. My new Shark vacs really come in handy. I cannot get over how powerful these are especially being battery operated. Love them so much, may take it to Rehab to use on the floor by hubby’s bedside. He is a messy eater and it may be something I can use on the mattress and mattress cover to help defray his itches.

Tonight is the first time I actually feel better. I haven’t been outside in days so cannot tell you how cool or warm it is. I do know that the temps have been in the mid 80s during the day and 60s at night. The humidity has been low as well. Really good not to be exposed to those high temps and humidity. And, oh yes, the A/C is working fine now.

Will be contacting our doctor’s office this week for a note stating that I need a pet to tell me when the phone rings and there is a knock at the door. Not sure of a dog or a cat, though one of each wouldn’t hurt. If I have a kitty, just do not know where to put the litter box and how to keep it from stinking the house. I definitely do not want the kitty outside with all the wildlife we have. Cannot wait to make that visit to our animal shelter (ASPCA). Funny, animals are permitted to visit the Rehab. Really cute to see them with their owners. The light in their pawrents is something to behold.

I hope you have a great evening. I can imagine seeing a fire in your fireplace this evening. Guess it’s time to change the A/C to heat. The moon is lighting up the entire outside. Right now I am glad not to be walking a pooch. Will need to do an alternative if I cannot get up to walk him/her.

I already had a couple pieces of chocolate before I knew it was National Chocolate Day. Only I would be ahead of the game when it comes to something fattening.😲

Warm but overcast day here, rain coming tonight/tomorrow.🌧 Hubs cleaned the yard up yesterday and it is completely orange again today.🍂🍁 He’s already done it four times and more to come down. I guess as we get older it seems like a lot more work.😝

I’m not a big baseball fan but I do watch the World Series. What an exciting game 1 yesterday.⚾ Good luck to both teams.

Have a great evening, light a fire, drink a glass of wine and stay warm between hubs and Poppy.🤗💖
