Conversation – 17

Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Can You Feel the Love Tonight
Song by Elton JohnThere’s a calm surrender
To the rush of day
When the heat of a rolling wind
Can be turned away
An enchanted moment
And it sees me through
It’s enough for this restless warrior
Just to be with you
And can you feel the love tonight?
It is where we are
It’s enough for this wide-eyed wanderer
That we got this far
And can you feel the love tonight
How it’s laid to rest?
It’s enough to make kings and vagabonds
Believe the very best
There’s a time for everyone
If they only learn
That the twisting kaleidoscope
Moves us all in turn
There’s a rhyme and reason
To the wild outdoors
When the heart of this star-crossed voyager
Beats in time with yours
And can you feel the love tonight?
It is where we are
It’s enough for this wide-eyed wanderer
That we got this far
And can you feel the love tonight
How it’s laid to rest?
It’s enough to make kings and vagabonds
Believe the very best
It’s enough to make kings and vagabonds
Believe the very best -

Elton John
“Circle Of Life”
(from “The Lion King” soundtrack)From the day we arrive on the planet
And blinking, step into the sun
There’s more to see than can ever be seen
More to do than can ever be doneSome say, “Eat or be eaten.”
Some say, “Live and let live.”
But all are agreed
As they join the stampede
You should never take more than you giveIn the circle of life
It’s the wheel of fortune
It’s the leap of faith
It’s the band of hope
‘Til we find our place
On the path unwinding
In the circle, the circle of lifeSome of us fall by the wayside
And some of us soar to the stars
And some of us sail through our troubles
And some have to live with the scarsThere’s far too much to take in here
More to find than can ever be found
But the sun rolling high through the sapphire sky
Keeps great and small on the endless roundIn the circle of life
It’s the wheel of fortune
It’s the leap of faith
It’s the band of hope
‘Til we find our place
On the path unwinding, yeah
In the circle, the circle of lifeIt’s the wheel of fortune, yeah
It’s the leap of faith
It’s the band of hope
‘Til we find our place
On the path unwinding, yeah
In the circle, the circle of life
On the path unwinding, yeah
In the circle, the circle of life -

Hakuna Matata – Lion King
SongHakuna Matata!
What a wonderful phrase
Hakuna Matata!
Ain’t no passing craze
It means no worries
For the rest of your days
It’s our problem-free philosophy
Hakuna Matata!
Why, when he was a young warthog
When I was a young wart-hoooog!
Very nice!
Thanks!
He found his aroma lacked a certain appeal
He could clear the Savannah after every meal
I’m a sensitive soul, though I seem thick-skinned
And it hurt that my friends never stood downwind
And oh, the shame
(He was ashamed!)
Thought of changin’ my name
(Oh, what’s in a name?)
And I got downhearted
(How did you feel?)
Every time that I-
Pumbaa! Not in front of the kids!
Oh… sorry
Hakuna Matata!
What a wonderful phrase
Hakuna Matata!
Ain’t no passing craze
It means no worries
For the rest of your days
Yeah, sing it, kid!
It’s our problem-free philosophy
Hakuna Matata!
Hakuna Matata
Hakuna Matata
Hakuna Matata
Hakuna
It means no worries
For the rest of your days
It’s our problem-free philosophy

Today is the last day of the Leo Season but we still rule. 😎✨😘
Hey August is still here to party on.

Hi and good evening to you both. I hope you are getting some cool breezes and lower temps along with rain for your plants. We had the dark clouds and then it headed North. So no rain. No thunder or lightning. But we do have plenty of 90 degree weather and 100% humidity.
What a difference in your husband from just two weeks ago. Those first 75 hours or so is more than a headache for you two. You cannot believe how happy I am that all is behind you and the recovery is a miracle. Don’t worry about the surgeon or cardiologist appointments . They will be here soon enough. Meantime you have the visiting nurse that will be talking to the doctors and giving them the info they need. Any problems or concerns, their office will be in touch and that goes for any change in medications. Is your BIL still in town? It is so nice that both brothers were here to help you get to and from the hospital and to help you. What a beautiful family you married into.
My hubby for the first time in months is out of bed and watching TV in the den. So good to see him trying to move a bit more. We have yet to take that ride to Brandon or to IKEA which is just up the road about 5 miles. It will probably be after the surgery or maybe just prior. I will keep you posted on that, but whatever you do, don’t hold your breath. Like you, I cannot really push in this heat. Take care of yourself. Glad your sugar is normal. Just watch those carbs and have protein instead. Take care and do get some rest when you can.

I am OK today. Some aches and pains from yesterday, but, it actually feels good. Got the necessary exercise and then some. I have one bush left to cut back and decided to take today off. I picked up some of my favorites from Costco yesterday and wondering if we should make another trip later this week. We purchase a package of Donegal Crabs with other things inside. I put it in the freezer and had one of them this morning for breakfast. Delicious and sweet. I also have some left over salmon which I made. I will probably have that for dinner along with shrimp and a salad. And speaking of Costco, I found a couple of outdoor rugs for the lanai. I will be taking a measurement in a few minutes and then will place an order. Just have one question mulling in my head and that is we have a door and then three steps down to the lanai. Placing the rug is what is giving me a problem. I do not want someone tripping over the edge. I think the two wicker chairs can be put atop and then also a couple of garden tables to be used as a coffee table against the settee. I am actually looking for a coffee table in that location and so far what I liked is not in my price range. Last year I used a wicker trunk and thought about doing that again. Well, decided to purchase new furniture and crazy as it sounds that wicker trunk now looks better with the love seat. Some work now beckons so its upward and onward. Doing a happy dance for xango.

Good afternoon, all went well yesterday. Sat out on the deck with a glass of wine🍷 before dinner, ate and then talked while we had fruit for dessert. Mom and sis left right before the storms started.⛈
Temps are comfortable, sun and rain off and on today. Warm again by the end of the week. Sending kisses back to Mrs. Dolittle and her clan!🥰 I hope Poppy isn’t jealous.🐶💗

@oodiebom 🏖🏖🏖🏖🏝🏝🏝🏝
Hello Oodie, I hope you and your hubby are doing well.
I so glad you and your hubby have a date for surgery.
My hubby is getting better and we will see his surgeon in September and a few days after that his Cardiologist, all before rehab. We tried for sooner but no luck, all booked up.
Here we sure could use some rain, everything is so dry. I planted some Oregano and Sage earlier in the season all in containers. This time in front of the house, both are thriving. But the Sage just loves the area. The morning Sun hits the side for several hours. The leaves are enormous, the next full moon I will cut most of them to dry for the Winter.
Take care Oodie 🏖🏖🏖🏖🏝🏝🏝🏝🏝🏝 -

Good afternoon Sheba, how are you doing today? And how is Poppy?
I got up early today, and started getting things done.
The therapist was here this morning and hubby took a good walk outside with the therapist besides doing other exercises.
I received groceries, wiped them down and put them away.
Made lunch for hubby and a salad for me, took time for lunch and a break😊
Take care Sheba 🦋🦋🦋🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋 -

Finding Your Soul Home
There will likely be times in your life when your soul evolves more quickly than your circumstances.
There will likely be times in your life when your soul evolves more quickly than your circumstances. Your subconscious mind may be ready to move forward long before you recognize that you are destined to embrace a new way of life. Your soul intuitively understands that changing habitats can be a vital part of the growth process and that there may be one part of you that is eager to move to another home, another state, or another plane of existence. But the ties that bind you to your current mode of being can make moving into this next stage of your life more challenging than it has to be. If you find it difficult to move on, consider that just as people in your life may come and go, your role in others’ lives may also be temporary. And many of the conditions that at first seemed favorable served you for a short time. When you are ready to match your situation to your soul, you will find that you feel a new sense of harmony and increasingly connected to the ebb and flow of the universe.
Moving on can be defined in numerous ways. Your forward momentum may take you from your current locale to a place you instinctively know will be more nurturing, comfortable, and spiritually enriching. Once you arrive, your misgivings will vanish, and you will know that you have found a sanctuary. Similarly, subtle changes in your values, goals, or emotional needs can motivate you to distance yourself from one group of people in order to reassociate yourself with individuals that are better able to support you. For example, this could mean moving away from your birth family in order to find your energetic or spiritual family. The route you need to travel may not always be clear; you may feel inspired to change yet be unsure as to why or how. Clarity may come in the form of a question if you are willing to seriously ask yourself where your soul is trying to take you.
In a way, moving from one point to another when you feel strongly driven to do so is a way of bringing your spiritual and earthly energies together. It is a two-step process that involves not only letting go but also reconnecting. You will know you have found your destination, physical or otherwise, when you feel in your heart that you have been reborn into a life that is just the right shape, size, and composition. Amen! ✨✨
