Conversation – 17

Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

I just read your post. You sound more relaxed now and I love how you told your BIL not to leave a mess. You actually brought a smile to my face.
I had an MRI done about two or three years ago. I had complained about a pain in the back of my head as well as hearing loss. The physician recommended an MRI and my appointment was for 9 am and had to be there a half hour prior. I had to wear scrubs while my clothing and purse went into a locker. You were absolutely correct. That thing was noisy. So noisy, in fact, that I could not hear the music in the background. I was there over an hour. Hubby asked what it was like and I told him. In his case, he went in, and ten minutes later he was done. No noise. No music. And, he didn’t have to change clothes. Go figure.
The next date for surgery is September 12th. Hospital will phone with the time he needs to be there. That will happen the Friday prior. We also need to stop at the hospital a week prior to go over things, but no blood drawn this time.
The only other thing I mentioned is that you will need Vitamin E cream for the surgical area once th e bandage is removed and also the staples. This will eliminate some or most of the scarring. If you read this prior to the nurse dropping in, you might ask her which one she would recommend. There are many on the market.
We had a thunderstorm yesterday and today. Looks like we will receive another one each day this week and into the next week. The plants and grass never looked so happy. The geckos on the other hand, were afraid to get wet. And yes, there is one in our den. I will be working on the lanai tomorrow as well as the side of our home. I have things out there that need to be put away. I will be washing those things and will put them away when dry. Also took a measurement of one area of the lanai where I have a small glass table with four chairs. I use this for au d’ouvres. I think a rug underneath would add a more comfy feel. Will do the same at the other end where I have a wicker settee and two wicker chairs. Main concern is find the perfect width and length so as people come down the stairs they won’t trip.
Love that your hubby is walking more. He will need to exercise even when physical therapy is over. He will need to do this on going basis to keep his heart working and to keep the blockage from ever happening again. The cardiologist will probably go into this more as he improves.
Have a great Monday. And do get some rest.

Hello Oodie, so good to read your hubby got the MRI done and it was a pleasant experience. I had one long ago, it was very noisy.
I can finally take a deep breath now. Hubby is doing much better, taking short walks outside today for the first day.
He did have a dry cough for one day and night, with a pain in the back shoulder. It didn’t last for more the a day. He thinks it’s a pulled muscle from the way he slept.
Nurse coming tomorrow I will ask about that. Also the therapist comes tomorrow.
I did teach my brother in law to place whatever items he removes from the fridge to be placed back in the fridge 😁
Also not to leaved cups, plates and whatever else that he used just anywhere and everywhere. He finally placed them in the sink, and now in the dishwasher 😁😆
I hope you and your hubby get his surgery soon. I haven’t gone back in days to read your posts in the last two weeks. So don’t know if you have a date yet.
Oodie, thank you so much for every single prayer. Now it’s my turn, I pray that you and your hubby get to have his surgery, and that he gets well and have no more pain.
And that you two get to travel North and get all that is needed done.
Take care Oodie 🏖🏖🏖🏖🏝🏝🏝🏝🌴🌴🌴🌴 -

Hello Sheba, so glad to hear you had some fun this weekend. The Farmer’s market must of been fun. I love to go out to such markets. In Orlando we used to go on Saturday morning. Its in a old train station, and it had all kinds of products. Home made breads, cheese to live plants. Also working on your yard is productive and good exercise.
Hubby is much better, this morning we took a small walk together outside.. He is eating good, three healthy meals and snacks in between. Later in the afternoon he took another small walk outside again, this time with his brother.
All through this ordeal I was checking my glucose, which was extremely high for me. I have been checking since the 1990’s after my brother who was very much like me was diagnosed with diabetes. Many, many years before my hubby was. It has come down to normal, we ordered Olive Garden last night. I needed a break from cooking. Hubby had the salmon and broccoli I had chickenscampi. Late night I eat my dessert and checked my glucose this morning and thank God it was normal.
Sheba thank you for your positive prayers. Prayers has helped us so much and we are so grateful to all.
Take care Sheba 🦋 🌻 🦋🦋🦋🌻🌻🤗🤗❤️❤️ -
