Conversation – 17
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 17 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 8 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Papa, Can You Hear Me?
Song by Barbra StreisandGod, our heavenly Father
Oh God, and my father
Who’s also in Heaven
May the light
Of this flickering candle
Illuminate the night the way
Your spirit illuminates my soul
Papa, can you hear me?
Papa, can you see me?
Papa, can you find me in the night?
Papa, are you near me?
Papa, can you hear me?
Papa, can you help me not be frightened?
Looking at the skies
I seem to see a million eyes
Which ones are yours?
Where are you now that yesterday
Has waved goodbye
And closed its doors?
The night is so much darker
The wind is so much colder
The world I see is so much bigger
Now that I’m alone
Papa, please forgive me
Try to understand me
Papa, don’t you know I had no choice?
Can you hear me praying
Anything I’m saying
Even though the night is filled with voices?
I remember ev’rything you thought me
Ev’ry book I’ve ever read
Can all the words in all the books
Help me to face what lies ahead?
The trees are so much taller
And I feel so much smaller
The moon is twice as lonely
And the stars are half as bright
Papa, how I love you
Papa, how I need you
Papa, how I miss you
Kissing me goodnight -

So glad all is well after the storm. We had those two bad ones in the summer, first one whole trees got taken down. That’s when we had one break the neighbor’s fence and big branches in the front and back yards. The second in October was the tornado that was 1/2 mile from my house. This is the craziest weather year, time to move to Tahiti. Do you ever hear about weather problems in Tahiti?🌞🌴🌅
Enjoy the game, I will be tuning in.🏈 It is very warm in the ‘burgh, we broke a record today, so join me for a glass of Bai Bubbles during the game.🧉

Congratulations to your son upon his graduation. What a great accomplishment and completed while also employed. And to you and yours for being the patient and protective parents even with the Covid scare.

Happy that you, Hubby and Poppy were safe last night. If you do not have a real storm shelter, may be a good time to invest in one. Those storms are becoming stronger and stronger. I do not know if it’s due to climate change or that the atmosphere is a bit different. Whatever the reason, I would like you and family to be in an area that can withstand high intensity winds. I cannot say the same for Florida. There are no basements here because of water wherever you seem to dig. I am still trying to get used to a puddle being called a lake. We have a lake in our backyard. But, in reality it is a small pond. I don’t want to harp on this. Just be safe especially when it’s nighttime and you are sound asleep and may not hear the sirens blasting away. Really sad that this storm had casualties. Not good news.
No PT today. Made a phone call. Guess hubby cancelled and then told me he didn’t. But whom am I to argue. He’s hurting, yet I thought the exercise would help. I will mention it at his appointment next week with the orthopedist’s assistant.
Can you believe that tomorrow night is Trivia?? Where has this week gone? Yesterday I thought it was Sunday. Maybe the people who have been missing will be here. I’m hoping that all is OK.
Will now let you get about your business. So glad you took the necessary precautions. Talk to you later.

We’re All in the Same Boat
We are all on this earth together, learning and teaching together in many different ways.
We’re all in the same boat. We just have different paddles, and perhaps we find ourselves on different rivers. We all live in human bodies. These are the vehicles in which we move through our world. We are all made of flesh, blood, and bone, with brains, hearts, and lungs to power us. Our paddles — the tools we use to move through the world — vary, as do the bodies of water, the environments in which we find ourselves.
Some of us use our high IQs to get where we want to go. Some of use our smiles, others use kindness, a gift with language, or athletic ability. Some of these qualities we were born with and others are skills we have learned. Considering this metaphor in light of your own life can be very enlightening. What tools are you using to get from point A to point B in your life? Chances are, you and the people you know have used many different tools in various combinations throughout your lives to get where you needed to go. Just as with oars or paddles, a balanced approach is best. If you rely too much on one thing, like beauty, to open doors, you fail to be well-rounded and you may eventually lose your equilibrium. And if you lose that one quality, you have no paddle at all. This is inspiration to develop multiple tools to navigate your world.
Some of us may be moving along paths that are like rushing rivers; others may be on a large, still lake. We have all felt, at one time or another, tossed about on a stormy ocean. Through all this, we are never really alone, even though it might seem that way. There is inspiration all around us in the form of other people making their way through the world, in the very same boat. Remember to look around you for role models, companionship, and encouragement.
AMEN! ✨✨

and Charlie the cat came to our door he made his way into my house and sat on the couch.
I love Charlie and he is my friend I wrote his parents that he was safe and sound in our home.😘
I was trying to get another cat to come in I really want this cat so I feed him but he would not
come in. I so worried all night about him he has been coming around for about two months.
Hubby and I are trying to get him to trust us and come in. This cat is a beautiful black cat with
green eyes almost like the one our daughter rescued.Well Game night wish us luck and best of luck with your teams. ✨😘 Have a good time

Good afternoon on the gulf coast. ✨✨Oz had storms and everything is fine now.
We did have casualties. We do have a safe place which is better than nothing all we had were debris from the
trees and I have been going back and forth all morning putting them in a pile and tying
some twine around them it should all be gone by this afternoon. 😎Here is a little tea and I am so glad your kitchen counter top is looking good and everything
can fit. YAY! ✨✨ -
Buon Natale e Felice Anno Nuovo in sunny Florida. 😘✨ Oz got hit hard last night.
I had tree branches and debris all over the yards and I had other things too.No major damages so that is good. We had over 100,000 people without power.
This was a major storm and I thank god it is over. 🌹💕 -
defg,
Good afternoon in Maryland how are you doing? How is the family doing? OZ got hit
last night I have been going back and forth picking up tree debris it was all over the
backyard and the front too. No damage I am lucky because the City is picking up lawn
and leaf and the limbs if you tie them together. 😎The storm was nerve wrecking but we were in a safe place.
Praying for you and your family. ✨
