Conversation – 16
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 16 out of the series. I created and started this thread nearly 7 years
ago. I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Greatest Love of All
Whitney HoustonI believe the children are our future
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier
Let the children’s laughter remind us how we used to be
Everybody searching for a hero
People need someone to look up to
I never found anyone who fulfill my needs
A lonely place to be
And so I learned to depend on me
I decided long ago
Never to walk in anyone’s shadows
If I fail, if I succeed
At least I’ll live as I believe
No matter what they take from me
They can’t take away my dignity
Because the greatest love of all
Is happening to me
I found the greatest love of all
Inside of me
The greatest love of all
Is easy to achieve
Learning to love yourself
It is the greatest love of all
I believe the children are our future
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier
Let the children’s laughter remind us how we used to be
I decided long ago
Never to walk in anyone’s shadows
If I fail, if I succeed
At least I’ll live as I believe
No matter what they take from me
They can’t take away my dignity
Because the greatest love of all
Is happening to me
I found the greatest love of all
Inside of me
The greatest love of all
Is easy to achieve
Learning to love yourself
Is the greatest love of all
And if, by chance, that special place
That you’ve been dreaming of
Leads you to a lonely place
Find your strength in love -

Let’s Groove
Song by Earth, Wind & FireLet this groove, get you to move,
It’s alright, alright
Let this groove, set in your shoes,
Stand up, alright
Gonna tell you what you can do,
With my love, alright
Let you know girl you’re looking good
You’re out of sight and alright
Move yourself and glide like a 747
Loose yourself in the sky among the clouds in the heavens
Let this groove, light up your fuse, alright
Let this groove, set in your shoes
Stand up, alright
Let me tell you what you can do
With my love, alright
Gotta let you know girl you’re looking good
You’re out of sight, you’re alright
Tell the DJ to play your favorite tune
Then you know it’s okay
What you found is happiness, now
Let this groove, get you to move, alright
Let this groove set in your shoes
Stand up, alright
You will find peace of mind on the floor
Take a little time, come and see, you and me
Make a little sign, I’ll be there after a while
If you want my love
We can boogie on down, down, down, down
Let’s groove tonight
Share the spice of life
Baby slice it right
We’re gonna groove tonight -

She Will Be Loved
Song by Maroon 5Beauty queen of only eighteen, she had some trouble with herself
He was always there to help her, she always belonged to someone else
I drove for miles and miles, and wound up at your door
I’ve had you so many times, but somehow I want more
I don’t mind spending every day
Out on your corner in the pouring rain
Look for the girl with the broken smile
Ask her if she wants to stay a while
And she will be loved
And she will be loved
Tap on my window, knock on my door, I want to make you feel beautiful
I know I tend to get so insecure, it doesn’t matter anymore
It’s not always rainbows and butterflies, it’s compromise that moves us along, yeah
My heart is full and my door’s always open, you come anytime you want, yeah
I don’t mind spending every day
Out on your corner in the pouring rain
Look for the girl with the broken smile
Ask her if she wants to stay a while
And she will be loved
And she will be loved
And she will be loved
And she will be loved
I know where you hide, alone in your car
Know all of the things that make you who you are
I know that goodbye means nothing at all
Comes back and begs me to catch her every time she falls, yeah
Tap on my window, knock on my door, I want to make you feel beautiful
I don’t mind spending every day
Out on your corner in the pouring rain, oh
Look for the girl with the broken smile
Ask her if she wants to stay a while
And she will be loved
And she will be loved
And she will be loved
And she will be loved
Yeah, yeah
I don’t mind spending every day (Ooh, ooh)
Out on your corner in the pouring rain
(Please don’t try so hard to say goodbye) -

I am multi-tasking also. Out and about for some things and inside cleaning up. I had my first flower fatality last night. I had a beautiful geranium basket with about 20 blooms, front to back, side to side. I placed it on a plant stand on my front landing as I do every year. This morning there were about six blooms left and I could see the deer footprints in my mulch.😫 I love nature but this didn’t even last 24 hours. Sprayed some deer repellant so I hope they are filled up from their party last night.
My sister did mom Friday today. Mom had an early hair appointment and dentist appointment this afternoon. All is well.
My neighbor planted about 130 flowers today as he does every year. My back hurt just watching him.😬 Happy you are not sore from yesterday. BTW, your pics last night were gorgeous!!💜💛

Good Afternoon Trivia Wonder Woman. I am all set, but do not think we will be up and running until sometime next month. Seems that everyone joins us for conversation and your gifs. You may never know how essential that is in the lives of everyone in our community. I just hope that someday FBN finds that the new whatevers that come on the market are the things that work. I do know that there is something coming down the pike since two States (Ct. & Ma.) are ahead and it does have something to do with stem cell research.
Hubby is OK. He surprises me every day with something. I do believe now that the dementia he was facing was due to Covid. I am discovering that the vitamins I chose from Andrew Lessman are working. However, it does take time. It’s not an overnight process. You have to have patience and perseverance. The vitamins took months and then all of a sudden things started to really change. As of now he has not plateaued.
By the way, I keep forgetting to mention, if you know someone who has a Florida address, tickets to Disney are 40% off. I have no idea if it’s even lower for Seniors. Anyway, these tickets can be used anytime during the summer and even later. I did let it pass for now thinking that Black Friday may have something different.
Thanks for the coffee/tea break. Will talk to you later. Just hope that those who have had the J&J vaccine are ok. I’m thinking of xango and her hubby on this one.

Humanity
We are human, we are family — we all look at the same stars, we all laugh and cry, we all love.
When it comes to our families, we sometimes see only our differences. We see the way our parents cling to ideas we don’t believe, or act in ways we try not to copy. We see how practical one of our siblings is and wonder how we can be from the same gene pool. Similarly, within the human family we see how different we are from each other, in ways ranging from gender and race to geographical location and religious beliefs. It is almost as if we think we are a different species sometimes. But the truth is, in our personal families as well as the human family, we really are the same.
A single mother of four living in Africa looks up at the same stars and moon that shine down on an elderly Frenchman in Paris. A Tibetan monk living in India, a newborn infant in China, and a young couple saying their marriage vows in Indiana all breathe the same air, by the same process. We have all been hurt and we have all cried. Each one of us knows how it feels to love someone dearly. No matter what our political views are, we all love to laugh. Regardless of how much or how little money we have, our hearts pump blood through our bodies in the same way. With all this in common, it is clear we are each individual members of the same family. We are human.
Acknowledging how close we all are, instead of clinging to what separates us, enables us to feel less alone in the world. Every person we meet, see, hear, or read about is a member of our family. We are truly not alone. We also begin to see that we are perfectly capable of understanding and relating to people who, on the surface, may seem very different from us. This awareness prevents us from disconnecting from people on the other side of the tracks, and the other side of the world. We begin to understand that we must treat all people for what they are — family. AMEN! 😎
