I plan to give my entire body a rest. Hubby and I did a once in a lifetime kick it to the
curve and it required some elbow grease. 🤣

Going to take a nice shower and I will feel a lot better. I am so glad you and your
mom had a good time along with the rest of the family. Things are almost there just
not yet.

Glad to hear hubby is well on the supplements. I move muscles I did not know I had.

This was a once in a lifetime get it out the house and it was me and hubby.

I am going to wash my hair and stand under the shower. I am loving my Korres
Cashmere Rose I got yesterday and I used it last night. All I need is just a little
pampering and a good book or movie but most of music. 😘💕

Oodie I wish I lived closer to you and I could come and sit and have tea and we could
talk. I can also help you with the MB.

I finally turned on the telly and oh boy what a mess all over the place. One good piece
of news is if you are fully protected you can take off your mask. Guess what the mask
was never a problem for me. Hey have you heard of any one with a major flu problem.
I have worn masks for years during flu season so this was not too bad because I social
distance and still will even when I get the vaccine. 😎 Oodie do your hubby have a
birthday coming up?

Well, the Governor for Florida issued a State of Emergency yesterday. Luckily, hubby needed gas following our vaccines and so we made a stop at Costco since it was just around a corner. There were quite a few stations yesterday that had no gas and those that did had a long waiting line. Our friend is on her way to Michigan and she sent an e-mail that the gas was around $2.80 and she had to wait about a half hour to 45 minutes for a gas pump. I did warn her, but she is moving into a new condo this weekend and didn’t want to change the date. I surmise she will be staying at a motel/hotel or with a friend if she arrives early.

There is also a standoff between the Governor here and the cruise lines. Seems the cruise lines want to be careful. They are requiring their help to be vaccinated before entering the ship to work. They want the public to do the same. Seems the Governor says it’s not necessary. The cruise lines say they will go where it’s safer to embark and disembark. They are requiring that those coming on board be vaccinated and have proof. After last years episodes on cruise ships, I cannot blame them. And with new variants, seems you would want to be safe rather than sorry. And after last year with us on a cruise, hmmm……..To think that the two of us are really scared about returning North. Staying in hotels/motels, eating out, using rest areas, etc.. The cleanest ones we found thus far happen to be in New Jersey. The worse ones, Ct., Fl., Ma. and Va..

Hubby is doing better. Not eating the way he should, but doing better. Today, I cannot complain. He has his moments, but we all do. However, I can tell when he takes his vitamins and when he doesn’t.

Happy Thursday to you!😊 We had a lovely lunch yesterday and have some leftovers for today. Beautiful day in the ‘burgh so I started planting today. Just hope we are finished with the freeze warnings – it is the middle of May, geez Louise!😮

Hockey team starts their playoffs on Sunday so I will be keeping fingers crossed.🤞 If they lose, I will root for another team. I just enjoy hockey!😀

Feeling Guilty about Being Happy

Allow yourself to release feeling any guilt about being happy

Happiness is an experience we all long for and deserve in our lives. We may wish for the happiness that comes with a much-needed vacation or an exciting new love affair, yet when the actual experience of happiness emerges, we may be too overcome with guilt to enjoy it. If guilt is interfering with your ability to feel joy, you may find relief in looking at the beliefs you hold about yourself and what it means for you to be happy.

Guilt about feeling happy can arise for different reasons. Deep down you may believe that you don’t deserve to be happy because you hurt someone in the past, had more than others growing up, or maybe you received a mean comment from someone you admire. Perhaps it once seemed that painful experiences always followed happy ones; now whenever you begin to feel happy, you find yourself waiting for the other shoe to drop. Happiness may even just feel uncomfortable because you’ve gotten so used to feeling down. The truth is that when you feel too guilty to let yourself enjoy positive emotions, you are denying a part of yourself that has a right to exist. By limiting your life experience to just the negative feelings, you are cutting yourself off from the fullness of life — which includes all of the positive emotions as well. Fortunately, you can begin to shift the way you respond to happiness even in this moment.

From now on, when happiness begins to blossom in your heart, try to accept it, relish in it, ask it to stay. It’s okay to feel happy even if you believe you don’t deserve it. Feeling good is an expression of your wholeness and your connection with life. The next time happiness appears for you, try not to feel guilty about it. Instead, welcome your happiness in like a long-awaited friend. AMEN! 😎
