I created and started this thread nearly 14 years ago. 😎🎈
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish a safe Summer to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe. 🌹✨😎I have been shopping and posting on HSN since the late
90’s 😎I have wonderful memories from the HSN we all know and love.

The Mandala of Life in Crochet
Life is like weaving a prayer within complexity,….Don’t complain about the twisting threads, for in every curve there is a mandala dance circling to find its way home.” -

Good morning Peeps and have fun in the HSN Community. 😎🎈

NATIONAL LEMON DAY
On July 23, National Lemon Day squeezes its way into our day just in time to celebrate our summertime festivities. This tart fruit brings vibrant, citrus notes to salads, drinks, and even savory dishes. Join us as we learn why so many people love the taste of lemon during the summertime and learn some lemony history, too.
Lemons are believed to be native to South Asia, although some say they may have originated in Northeast India. Citron, which is similar to a lemon, was the first of the citrus family. In fact, Citron is found in a Persian garden near Jerusalem said to be at least 2,500 years old. Some time between the late 1st century BC and early 1st century AD, Citron made its way to Rome. Interestingly, lemons were never used in food or drink by the Romans during this early time period. It seems Romans instead used this citrus tree for decoration and the pleasant odor.

NATIONAL REFRESHMENT DAY
When the summer sun hits its peak and the dog days of July roll in, nothing hits the spot quite like a tall, ice-cold drink. National Refreshment Day on the fourth Thursday in July toasts those pure moments of relief–whether it’s an icy craft brew after a long work week, a chilled mocktail on the porch, or a crisp glass of lemonade at the beach.
Whether you’re at the beach or wrapping up a long day of work, it’s nice to know there’s a glass waiting for you somewhere. The dog days of summer call for coolers full of ice. Long weekends and vacation days beckon, too. Take a day and celebrate.

GORGEOUS GRANDMA DAY
July 23rd is Gorgeous Grandma Day and we are recognizing all the women who embrace the age of a grandma, whether they are grandmothers or not! Gorgeous Grandma Day embraces and encourages all women to flaunt their granny attitudes with purpose and style.
Not all women become grandmothers. Those who do, don’t necessarily fit the traditional mold any longer. Others still reach a point where many assume grandmother status, even though no grandchildren are around. While some grandmas fit the traditional mold with gray hair and cookie-baking, home-making, hug-giving, child-spoiling energy to spare, many grannies sport a whole new role. Many take on the part of grandma to the children in their lives.
No matter the type of grandmother they are, they’re all different. Some play the hippest games, wear the latest styles, and know how to find the best deals on technology. Even the grandkids can’t keep up! Funny, sassy, and energetic grandmas, rebel grannies and smart grannies make the grade, too.
