I think you mentioned that your friends are packing for the trip to Florida. I just want to take care of a few things. HOA fees in many cases are through the roof. They need to remind themselves to ask what it covers. In my case it covers water, cable, pool, shuffleboard, games, movies and some other perks. I also pay for lawn and palm tree service which is separate. Here is where it could be tricky. If there are amenities that they won’t take part in, they can ask if the HOA fee could go lower. Homeowners Insurance. Quite a few companies have left due to hurricane season. The payouts have been enormous. Also, many companies are asking that you also purchase flood insurance. Where I am we haven’t seen any flooding even during the hurricanes. However, Florida does have a high water table. House looking and purchasing is best during the summer months, though some homes have been on the market for more than a year. Quite a few new homes have gone up since the first of the year. Just make sure they do their homework prior to making a decision. Some builders are not good. If they have pets, they can go to restaurants with you as long as there is outdoor seating. There are even pet beaches. There is one in Venice, Florida on the other side of Siesta Key. St.Armands in Manatee County on the Gulf Side reminds me of Rodeo Drive in California. Lots of small shops that carry designer items. Quaint little area.

Hi in sweet smelling Oz. Had to go through a lot of chaos to get there, lol! Very warm today, may have a storm later.

Mom has been doing okay.👍 One day good, the next day tired. I guess that’s what happens when you will be 96 in two weeks. We are still trying to figure out where we will be going for her birthday dinner.🎂

Hockey team sat out a lot of their top players for the last three games once they made the playoffs last week. Just hope they don’t get too relaxed.🏒

I am feeling better since going to the mailbox and I now have the missing 1099s. I will get them printed and mailed to the Accountant. So thankful that my perseverance paid off and now I can return to the forever cleaning.

Tomorrow I will be meeting a special friend from Michigan. We will have breakfast together at a hole in the wall place which serves an endless cup of coffee. It will feel good to be back to the groove of things. As luck would have it, my appointment to get my hair done was changed to an hour later. I switched with another customer who needed an earlier appointment. This will give us an extra hour to catch up.

Following my hair appointment will make a short trip to Costco. The receptionist at the rehab has asked for their shrimp salad in a sauce. I like it also. On the way back to the Rehab I will pick up vanilla custard for the three of us. It tastes so good on a hot, humid day.

Here is something interesting. Coconuts are not nuts. It is actually a stone fruit and you can actually plant it. The entire coconut is a seed. I will definitely try planting it in a container. It will probably take quite a few months before anything pops up. Best part it will function as a tree and then when ready will produce coconuts. I just hope I can watch this thing sprout and grow. This is a plant that will enjoy Florida’s climate.

It is 77 degrees as I type. The sun is strong and the UV index is very high. Tonight will be clear with temps in the 60s. Friday, I will begin spraying the grass weeds and my planting will begin in a couple of weeks. I will be planting perennials that are native to Florida. Coconut is one. Another plant I love is the Mandeville. The flowers are breathtaking along with the Hibiscus. I still love the Bird of Paradise plant.

Enjoy your day. I think I will take my broom and head to your place for a late lunch. My favorite meal. Sandwich and soup (LOL)

Good morning OZ is beautiful today. So fresh and clean after the rains. 😎💕
All the dirt and grime is gone I can always tell when I take long walks after a
nice rain. 💕

Getting ready to plant had social hour during this thread. I just went to say a quick
hi to a neighbor and we ended up talking a bit very interesting they were working
on their backyard I live next door and it is a major job. 😎🎈I left as I did not want
to hold up progress when I am in a groove I don’t want to stop. Everyone is out in
the yards today.

Hey enjoy the hike I know you can perhaps walk faster not that you need to I admire
that you get up and do mile long ones that take a lot of patience but you enjoy it.
The endorphins feel good too. 💕😎
