power company a tree fell on a powerline. I knew this would happen on the last bad
winter day. We are all doing fine and life goes on. 😎💕😘

The many parades in Brazil from North to South were spectacular this year. Lots of Amazon rain forests theme, beautiful costumes.

To my suprice we had a good gentle rain today. Of course, much needed and appreciated. Temperatures are nicely cooled. And the bunny is enjoying her feast, apples, lettuce, strawberry, carrots.

Good day on the Gulf Coast of Florida. 💕😎🎈I hope you are doing well and the
meds are working for you.

Oodie we had a huge power outage in OZ and our power came on just over an hour
ago. 😎💕I believe it’s called winter and I will be glad to see it gone.

I am wishing you a nice warm and pleasant day with your hubby. Let me know how things

A tree fell on a power line near our area and brought the whole area to total darkness last
night. We are up and running and checking for any damages. That’s Life!

Temp in our area is on it’s way down. We were in the high 70s just a few hours ago. Tonight we will be somewhere in the 40s. Raining on and off since last night. Not complaining, we do need those drops.

I went online yesterday to see if there is anyone who can install a ramp, redo the bathroom and install flooring. Painting is also needed. I have had quite a few responses and I will start seeing people beginning Saturday. One in particular sounds real good and I will be meeting with them on Monday. There are others as well.

I had the A/C Tech here for three hours. There are no problems. I am now all set until the fall. No new A/C needed. The meds seem to be working. I had the beginning of a migraine yesterday morning and took the meds. Unfortunately it made me sleepy and nauseous. However, the headache is gone and that is the important thing. I am now off to get gas at Sam’s Club. Then on to see hubby. Not planning to stop for food, though our Farmer’s Market had a two day extra special sale which I will need to miss.

Sorry to hear you lost electricity. Hope the pipes are OK. I surmise your hubby has today off due to the weather and other things. Take it easy.

Good Evening I see you have a honey do list. 😎💕🎈Oodie I hope I have not missed
your 55th Anniversary. 🎈💕😎I have had so much going on in the family.

These headaches does not help either. I am fine tonight. All the pipes are alright.
I am so glad we keep the fridge closed we never opened it. Still many thousand
of people are without power and will not have it until tomorrow evening.

This has been a long day I am going to jump into the shower using my Perlier Honey
Bodywash. 💕

You did not miss our anniversary. It is tomorrow, March 6th. 54 years (55 in 26). I was all set to take hubby out for a ride on our anniversary, but the weather will be too cold for him to be out and about. We will celebrate over the weekend of sometime next week. We had a great conversation. However, his roommate is something else. Was nice in the beginning and now is showing true feelings. He goes to bed around 7pm. However, the problem is he wants me gone before then. Said I should come earlier in the day to visit. Wish I could. But there are things that need to get done in the few hours I am home. But I didn’t say anything. I just let it go in one ear and out the other. Visiting hours start around 8am each day. Visitors can stay as long as they want, but cannot stay overnight. Tomorrow will be a different story. I will be with hubby either before or after lunch. I will pick up my dinner on my way to see him. I never got to Sam’s for gas because of the tech taking so long. I didn’t realize the time until he left. No shopping. No gas for car. Just got everything together and left for the rehab.

There were times during the winter when we lost electricity. It wasn’t hours, it was days. No heat. No hot water. Thank goodness we had a gas stove that we could use. Being that the temp outside was freezing, I took the food out of the refrigerator and put whatever I could into containers with covers. The food went outside I left everything in the freezer intact. However, with hurricane Milton, everything in the freezer and frig perished.

I see the issue I never saw this post. This was all due to no power and stress from dealing
with a few things in the family.

Had I seen this post I would have done something totally different. I always acknowledged
posts my apologies. 😎

Sorry the room mate is being a wee bit selfish. Give me a break your husband has paid
for that room.

area. I see plumbing trucks in some neighbors driveway. Hubby is checking
to see if we had any damages never a dull day.

Sheba, the flowers look lovely, and yellow is one of my favorite colors, although I don’t ever wear it. Growing up, I had a yellow carpet and yellow and cream a Thomasville furniture set.
The bedspread and curtains were green with butterflies. Yup, the 70’s! Great for fun fashion and back then I had a pair of yellow stretch pants with a rainbow waistband, bell bottoms too. It’s so fun!
Yes, those Polish Paczki look so good. The Poles know how to eat.
Sorry you had a power outage. I know you can deal with it but it’s not too convenient.
We had some rain here late afternoon and it will be on and off throughout the night.
Yes, I did some Anthony Bourdain as well. Very talented and gone too soon.

Very dark and cloudy today here in OZ. We are raining right now and soon snow will arrive
after midnight. The winds will be high so the weather reports in my area are urging everyone
to make sure everything is charged and they don’t have to tell me twice. 😎 Trees have
been known to fall on power lines when the winds are this high. We are ready for whatever
happens.

There was a show I use to watch and really enjoyed it on Sunday Night and that was
Anthony Bourdain who was a professional Chef. Anthony traveled all over the world.

Oodie the post about the expensive trip that really happened this weekend. I saw
eggs for 60.00 for four dozens. Everything is high in the grocery store. When will it end?

Our Farmer’s Market is trying to keep prices down wherever possible. Eggs at Aldi’s is over $6/doz.
And speaking of farmers. Legislature in Florida are taking up some of the farmer’s request to take Almond milk off the shelves. It’s about the only thing I can drink that has low calories and no allergic reaction. Farmers are saying that almonds are not milk.

I am going to get those meds now. So far I am headache free. That was not the case yesterday on my way to visit hubby. By the time I parked the car, I am still asking myself how I made it. Poor hubby, all he could do was hold my hand until I felt better. By the way, on my way home two or three days ago, I was at a traffic stop when a man was trying to get into people’s cars. Seeing what was happening, I immediately locked the doors and made sure the windows were up. This is one time I will be thankful for “springing ahead.”

I finally picked up the meds. I will start it tomorrow since I had taken others. I think I finally figured out what causes these headaches. Definitely it is the sap running through the trees. The warmer days set everything ahead. The other reason iis the weather. Cooler temps are predicted for Thursday and Friday. Night time temps could be in the 40s. Day time we will be lucky to see 70. The low from your expected snow could be the reason. My usual aches and pains are heating up.
I mentioned to hubby that I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the rain on Wednesday will be severe. This was hours before returning from the rehab and receiving a weather update.

Hubby is doing OK. Now it is my turn. I need to have workers here to redo an entire bathroom, paint and install new flooring. I will have an exterminator check our home for termites and other insects. The one I;ve been using also goes under areas outside to check not only bugs but for rodents. The house will not be totally cleaned when hubby returns and that’s OK. He needs to start doing some things. No rest for the weary. Actually, he wants to help and the extra two hands will definitely come in handy.

I forgot to mention that last night as I was walking to the car, I saw the moon in the Western sky. By no means was it full. We had half a moon in a deep red color. Very pretty and it made the scene mellow. Very peaceful last night. Even watched several planes heading for the airport. Tonight the moon was white. The temp is now in the mid 60s. A clear night for a change.

I like working my muscles and keeping my entire body in shape. Glad hubs is doing
so much better he ate and is now in a nice sleep. 😘

I have been going in and out feeding the cats I do this out of love for the cats.

Sheba, son is busy working and thinking about his next trip abroad.
We always learn so much from his travels. We went to Poland because of him and it was one of the best vacations for us all and we hope to go back.
On the hike today I thought I spotted a Coyote on the path ahead and it was moving quickly towards me. I back tracked, heart racing, and found a few people to walk near. I think what I saw turned out to be an off leash dog, about the same size as a coyote. The dog was very friendly and I think that was what was moving towards me. I’ll take that any day. I don’t usually see critters on the busy paths. We had a lovely clear day. Supposed to rain maybe Wednesday.
How are your walks going with Poppy? Are you able to get out?

Three musically inclined films are up for Best Picture: the film adaptation of the Wicked musical, the Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown, and the Spanish-language musical Emilia Pérez. Also nominated in the category is The Brutalist, which was scored by Daniel Blumberg.

Blumberg is looking to win the Academy Award for Best Original Score. He’s going up against 2023’s winner, Volker Bertelmann, who scored the papal drama Conclave, along with Emilia Pérez’s Clément Ducol and Camille, The Wild Robot’s Kris Bowers, and Wicked’s John Powell and Stephen Schwartz.

The Emilia Pérez musicians, Ducol and Camille, have a lot of opportunities to win an Academy Award tonight, as they are also nominated for Best Original Song. They wrote two of the nominees—“El Mal” and “Mi Camino”—in the five-song category. The other nominated songs are “Like a Bird,” the Sing Sing song written by Abraham Alexander and Black Pumas’ Adrian Quesada; Diane Warren’s The Six Triple Eight entry “The Journey”; and “Never Too Late,” a song for the Elton John film Elton John: Never Too Late that was made by John, Brandi Carlile, Andrew Watt, and Bernie Taupin.

I am enjoying the Oscars and hope you are too. Conan O’Brian is doing an awesome job.
I made four kinds of crackers to snack on. Dinner was a salad and a piece of beef sautéed with onions and garlic. I don’t eat the onions, but I like to flovar the beef with. I find it funny I don’t like eating the food item that gives so much flavor to food like steak. I do like eating the pressed garlic, that I eat, go figure.

For dessert I was to make chocolate pudding, but decided to have strawberries and yogurt.
The Oscars are still going on, going to finish watching. To my surprise, Brazil won for foreign film.
I hope your weather behaves and that you are feeling better. And that your hubby is getting stronger, well and feeling better.

Good afternoon on the Gulf Coast of Florida. 🎈💕😎 Oodie good luck with
hubby and your trip just to get out. 💕I love it and he needs it.

Oz is warmer with the Sun today. 😎My husband is feeling so much better what a
difference a day makes. The meds are working. I did make soup for him and me
and making sure he drinks plenty of water. I wish we could go bike riding but I know
with all the coughing that will not work. No worries spring is around the corner.

I am about to run some errands and be one and done. Let me know how you are

I normally enjoy shopping at the Farmer’s Market on a late Saturday afternoon. Plenty of parking and no lines. Well, yesterday was a different story. The line of cars trying to find parking took me by surprise. So I did an alternative route which gave me a great parking space near the checkout area. The place inside was something else. Lines down an aisle and up another. I tried to purchase Romaine lettuce for $.99 each. All that was left were the ones that were frost bitten or too small for the price. However, what they did have was my favorite scallion. These are huge, round onions with the green stems. I use every bit of this onion and they are sweet. You can usually find them this time of year. The greens I use for salads, in sour cream or cream cheese for flavor. Definitely in rice and potatoes for flavor and as a garnish. My mom used to pickle the scallions and they were delicious. But, today, I can no longer eat what mom made due to sulfites. I also shopped for the receptionist and when done I used one of the bags from HSN with an ice pak. She was so appreciative when I delivered everything but the Romaine. Will go back either tomorrow or Tuesday. It took me a good fifteen minutes to drive out of the parking lot. I did purchase a strawberry cheesecake for hubby. I loved watching him eat and when he reached the bottom took a finger to get what was left in the container. “The best he ever had,” he said. Since strawberries are now in season in Florida, I will buy another. They also had strawberry milkshakes and strawberry smoothies on sale. The ice cream is all homemade. Made fresh daily. You can gain 10 lbs. just by looking at the desserts.

I’m happy that your hubby is feeling better and that the pills are working. This season is just as bad as last year. I will be picking up the meds today. I tried yesterday, but the pharmacy was closed by the time I arrived. So far, no headache. But the afternoon is just getting started.

Have a great Sunday and then some. Soup sounds good. I’ll be at your house in a few minutes. Have broom will travel.

Hello Sheba 🌹 Lucky you, you got to see the planets. The night was cloudy here yesterday. Tonight I was able to see the Moon and the star next to it I think it’s Venus.
Caranaval has started in Brazil. My cousin said it’s all the TV channels are showing.

I am looking forward to the Oscars tomorrow. Going to make some snacks and dessert. Not sure what, I will look through my lists on YouTube . I have several lists, snacks, baked goods, none baked sweets, savory baked dishes, soups, muffins, and more.

to an early morning clinic visit turns out he has a sinus infection. All the doctor did was
give him antibiotics. I am keeping an eye on him hubs never had this type of problem.

I think I mentioned last night that I wish our pharmacy had delivery service. These headaches have kept me from getting the necessary prescript. Yes, a neighbor could have gone, but they would need proof of name and address and other pertinent info. Not worth the aggravation.

Hubby is doing OK. I hope I will be able to take him out and about this week on a road trip. The physical therapy people will help him in and out of the vehicle. Actually, he really wants to go into Costco and the Farmer’s Market. I do not know if that would be possible. It would be a nice surprise if it can happen. Then again, there are some services that may be able to help. I have seen some out and about. However, in most cases it is for doctor appointments.

One of the receptionist’s has been working 10 hour days. Two people have quit and it seems for medical reasons. One has had surgery and is recovering. The other has a clot near the lung that needs surgery. However, the insurance company from the Rehab says meds are the best way. However, the meds are not working and she is a living time bomb at this point. She is the sole support of a 5yr. old who is cute as a button. Anyway, I just got off the phone with the only receptionist. I will be picking up some food that she needs from the Farmer’s Market. It’s the least I can do.

Well onward and out. Time to dress and do my thing. So far, no headache. Hope to pick up the much needed meds. Those trees are starting to wake up. Everything is starting at the same time. It’s a wonder that your hubby didn’t have problems until now. Hope he feels better soon. Nothing like having chills, headaches and other things going at the same time. The atmosphere is changing. I think it’s called “Climate Change.”

Hikes today and saw a 1 legged Husky and a huge Doberman in booties. The booties make sense because its got little rocks all over and I often wonder if it hurts the dogs paws.
Sounds like Mayfair witches may have a season 3. Did you read the books?
Someone told me she uses a hot compress for her sinus issue and it seems to work. She also takes the antibiotics.

Good evening OZ is chilly tonight the heat is on. I did open windows yesterday and it
was wonderful and then this morning things took a dip. Ole man winter is back. 😎

Our weather here in OZ is very different and we tend to have the same weather as Colorado.
