Conversation 29
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is number 29 out of the
series. I created and started this thread 11 years.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread.
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

Good day in Florida wishing you and hubs a nice afternoon.
Oz is nice today but we will have a wee bit of snow tomorrow.
-
Good day on the Gulf Coast of Florida.
I have had a busy morning doing laundry
and this and that.Oodie tomorrow my SIL will have her cancer surgery this will last from 4-8 hours.
Prayers are appreciated. I am concerned for the kids and everyone is stepping up.Oodie I hope everything is alright and no headache or back issues. I know you are excited
about the renovations and the thought of your husband finally coming home.We all will be happy the day he gets home.
-
Just returned from the doctor’s appointment. The labs were through the roof. He was absolutely speechless. The last appointment was really good, but this one went above and beyond. Andrew’s vitamins may be the reason.
We have had two days with heavy wind. I think I read where a tornado touched down in Florida, just not sure where. We also have an alert for rip current and to swim where there is a life guard present. Since my buddy is in rehab, I guess I will skip the beach (LOL).
Yesterday, I was able to leave the house early. Aldi’s was at the top to do list, but I ended up at the Farmer’s Market. I picked up a couple of heads of cabbage for $.25/lb ea.. As I went down the water and soda aisle, a person was giving samples of corned beef and cabbage. Wow !!! They had a complete dinner at their take out section. I could not turn it down. The one thing I actually wanted were the pistachio muffins. None in sight. So disappointed. Their take out area and their bakery area is nothing to sneeze at. Not having to read the ingredient labels is something I can forget to do. Cannot wait to take hubby to this store.
I made hubby a mashed Yukon Gold Potato with some of the greens from a scallion and cut up parsley. He loved it. But I got chewed down by the LPN on duty who said it was a no no. Gee whiz, a mashed potato with sour cream and the added scallion grees and parsley??? This is going too far overboard. Oh well, once the ramp is in place and the bathroom is handicapped accessible, I won’t have to worry any longer. Yes, I will puree foods if need be. Yes, I will make smoothies, etc. etc..
It’s been a wonderful day thus far. The sun is out. No clouds. Temp is 73 as I type but will be in the high 40s to low 50s tonight. I will be stopping at Costco and then Culver’s for their vanilla custard for hubby. To celebrate my doctor’s visit will have them include hot fudge. None for me. I have something else for dessert. Plums and a cut up watermelon.
I will be praying for your SIL tomorrow. Long process. I am sure the surgeons will be looking at every organ, nook and cranny. Hopefully, there will be good vibes and good news when all is said and done. I know you will be worried and can see you pacing the floor waiting for the answers. I will be there with you in spirt. Take care. As the saying goes, “this, too, shall pass. “

Good morning in S. California.
Oz is beautiful today and tomorrow we will have
a bit of snow. LOL! Taci in fact we can snow right into the first week of May.I hope you see this along the way.
Happy and safe trails.
-
Sheba, I thought Oz was too far towards the South for all that cold weather.
Yes, to answer your question, the green of Heidi set does look close to our birthstone which I Love.
Best wishes for the surgery to be over with and in the past. Hope your SIL recovers quickly. -
Good day in the ‘burgh. Lady your post yesterday was hilarious about your husband’s
phone.I am glad everything turned out alright with dinner last night.
Good luck with your Hockey Team tonight.
Enjoy it with hubby.
Lady surgery is tomorrow and it will last 4-8 hours. I am saying extra prayers.
This can be overwhelming at times my thoughts are on the kids.Sending Spring hugs to you and Jake.
Thank you for having a nice sense of
humor. LOL! -
Good afternoon, my friend. Nice day here, tomorrow we may hit 80 and by the weekend it will be 50. Sounds just like Oz.
Hubs just left with his friend for the hockey game.
I went to one game this year. We have expensive tickets and to me it wasn’t worth the price by the way they are playing. Also, it’s a lot of walking for my knees.
I am happy on my couch and if it’s a bad game, I can get rid of it.
Do you know if your SIL is having Whipple surgery? That was the original plan for my friend but things changed. I have been praying and will be thinking of her all day tomorrow – God bless her.
I hope you can relax a little this evening. Love and hugs to you and the whole family.

“Old Devil Moon”
(originally from “Finian’s Rainbow” musical)I look at you and suddenly
Something in your eyes I see
Soon begins bewitching me
It’s that old devil moon
That you stole from the skies
It’s that old devil moon in your eyesYou and you glance
Make this romance
Too hot to handle
Stars in the night
Blazing their light
Can’t hold a candle
To your razzle-dazzleYou’ve got me flyin’ high and wide
On a magic carpet ride
Full of butterflies inside
Wanna cry, wanna croon
Wanna laugh like a loon
It’s that old devil moon in your eyesJust when I think I’m
Free as a dove
Old devil moon
Deep in your eyes
Blinds me with loveYou’ve got me flyin’ high and wide
On a magic carpet ride
Full of butterflies inside
Wanna cry, wanna croon
Wanna laugh like a loon
It’s that old devil moon in your eyesJust when I think I’m
Free as a dove
Old devil moon
Deep in your eyes
Blinds me with love
Blinds me with love-
How Are Things in Glocca Morra?
Song in Finian’s RainbowI hear a bird, Londonderry bird,
It well may be he’s bringing me a cheering word.
I hear a breeze, a River Shanon breeze,
It well may be it’s followed me across the seas.
Then tell me please
How are things in Glocca Morra?
Is that little brook still leaping there?
Does it still run down to Donny cove?
Through Killybegs, Kilkerry and Kildare?
How are things in Glocca Mora?
Is that willow tree still weeping there?
Does that lassie with the twinklin’ eye
Come smilin’ by and does she walk away,
Sad and dreamy there not to see me there?
So I ask each weepin’ willow and each brook along the way,
And each lass that comes a-sighin’ too ra lay
How are things in Glocca Morra this fine day?

Look to the Rainbow
Song by Don Francks, Fred Astaire, and Petula ClarkOn the day I was born,
said my father, said he,
I’ve an elegant legacy
waiting for ye.
Tis a rhyme for your lips
and a song for your heart,
To sing whenever the world falls apart.
Look, look, look to the rainbow.
Follow it over the hill and stream.
Look, look, look to the rainbow.
Follow the fellow who follows a dream.
Follow the fellow, follow the fellow,
Follow the fellow who follows a dream.
‘Twas a sumptuous gift bequeathed to a child.
Oh, the lure of that song
Kept her feet running wild.
For you never grow old and you never stand still
With a whippoorwill singing beyond the next hill.
So, I bundled me heart and I roamed the world free.
To the east with the lark
Tow the west with the sea.
And I searched all the world and I scanned all the skies.
But I found it at last in my own true love’s eyes. -

ST. PATRICK’S DAY
St. Patrick’s Day kicks off a worldwide celebration also known as the Feast of St. Patrick. On March 17th, many will wear green in honor of the Irish and decorate with shamrocks. According to lore, the wearing of the green tradition dates back to a story written about St. Patrick in 1726. St. Patrick (c. AD 385–461) used the shamrock to illustrate the Holy Trinity and worn green clothing. And while the story is unlikely to be true, many will revel in the Irish heritage and eat traditional Irish fare, too.

Good Morning in Florida we are cold here in OZ but we have the Sun.
Enjoy your day with hubs. -
Good morning on the Gulf Coast of Florida.
Oodie keep being who you are.
Oz is a bit cold today we are around 32 degrees this morning and it will not get much
higher. The local weather reports tomorrow will be a better day.Oodie I hope your back is better after all the work and bending you are doing for your
house. I can’t want until the renovation are over and your hubs come through the door. What a day that will be.
I hope you are able to finish your shopping and have a good visit with hubs.
-
Good morning. Yes, it’s still am here. I just had breakfast and now ready to tackle a shower floor that desperately needs a good cleaning. No bending. Have the sponges and everything I need on long handles.
I did not go out yesterday nor did I visit hubby. I did make some progress and will do more today. I am hoping to make it to Aldi’s to pick up water. During the week I hope to be at Costco and do the same with help. I also will contact the dentist for hubby. He needs to have his implants repaired so they fit. I do not know if this is possible, but will contact my dentist tomorrow to ask that question. He also needs to have some teeth taken out and for something he can do to chew better. I now have a name for the Administrator. He/she needs to know what is going on. Our aide is on duty tomorrow and Tuesday. Not sure if he is on our end. He does stop by to say hello several times to get his laughs and then goes on.
Hoping the renovations will start in a week or two. I just paid the first installment. The shower itself will be hand held. I just notified the team that hubby sometimes has not been able to use his fingers. They hurt and so does the arm itself. I let it be known that it may not be arthritis, but a cold from the A/C vent above his head. I am also thinking that my back pain is coming from this as well. No back pain at the moment. I see the physician in a few days. He will get an ear full. Seems the doctor that visits the Rehab is part of this group. This physician does a great job at getting things done. Just does not like to write notes. And speaking of notes, I will take a look at Florida laws on pets. I definitely will need one to tell me when hubby isn’t well. He likes to say he is OK when he isn’t. I can tell from facial expressions and a touch of hands. But the homes in New England have basements. And if I’m downstairs, well you get the idea.
Sounds like your weather is typical for New England. I’m used to the ups and downs, Or at least used to be. My grandfather (RIP) used to say, “Just wait.” One day warm, the next day freezing. Never a dull moment in New England.
Enjoy your day. Hope Poppy gets to run around with his friends. Good day for hot chocolate or hot soup. Just be careful when you are out and about. There still could be some ice on the grass and walks from melting snow.
-
Oodie, you will love camera monitoring. I get about how people fake it with pets. Once we were at a bakery/cafe and a man came in with a little fluffy dog. They kindly asked him to put the dog outside. He refused and claimed it was a service dog, picking it up as he threatened the workers with the I’m gonna call my lawyer bit. A service dog needs a vest and paper work etc and this dog had none and the man wasn’t fooling anyone. The staff handled it well and I made sure to tip them well. No respect for people like that…
Have a great evening! -
Good Evening and wishing you a calm and peaceful evening. Oodie take your time doing
the things that need to be done. I am so glad you are healthy and can do almost anything.I use a Swiffer to get into corner and clean blinds and such. This company makes many
types of Swiffer they do come in handy. Oodie sometimes I like to get on my knees
and clean the floors and stairs I do it like my mother do I use a pail and white cloth with
some Lysol and just clean away. I do use Clean Boss on most things and I have boxes of
them because when they go on sale with free shipping I grab them. I like the fact that it
can kill the Covid Virus and everything in between. I even use it outside on the patio furniture. The smell does not bother me and it never has I do open all windows and tomorrow will
be a good day to open the windows as we are having warmer weather.Take care Oodie.
I hope you get a response and action from the top person at the
Rehab Center. Most of all I hope they find your husband’s missing personal things. -
Good Morning in S. California.
Oz is cold but sunny and I am fine with that.
My brother and his family are safe in Colorado and they had a marvelous time.
Our backyard is intact after the storm we had late Friday Night. I do welcome Spring
and all that goes with it.Taci with the good rain you have had how are your flowers doing? I hope they bloom
and grow. I will plant next month due to the weather.Wishing you Happy Trails if you are able to get out.
-
Sheba, glad they had a great vacation and are safely back home. My plants and flowers are ok but not great. They aren’t used to rain, cold, and hail. The lawn, however is doing well.
I am surprised Oz gets so cold. Hope your hands are warm now.
Above, your post about Vacuums is spot on. I really love this new one as the suction is exceptional.
Hubs flew small planes back in the day. We had fun flying into places in CA. He hasn’t flown since I got pregnant. Long time ago. Yah, saw those people and the plan in CO. It’s crazy. Maybe that’s why airlines still sell so much alcohol.
Have a great evening. -

I hope your husband is enjoying his Golf Games.
I am keeping an eye on Georgia as
they are having storms.Sending Spring hugs to you and Jake.

Good afternoon in cold Oz. All our storm and tornado warnings are over and the sun is out. Thankfully we did not lose power and all trees are still standing (for now.)
It is still quite windy. This week will be back and forth, one day chilly, one day nice.
Making salads
for dinner since I wasn’t sure about the power staying on. Watching the golf tournament with hubs but they are delayed because of storms also.
Glad to hear your family made it back safely from vacation. I will start the prayers today for your SIL this week.
I sure know what she is going through because of my friend.
Wishing you warm days and sunny skies, hugs to you, Poppy and the kitties!
-
Good Evening and I am glad you and hubby are having time together. Enjoy

Ides of March
The Ides of March is the day on the Roman calendar marked as the Idus, roughly the midpoint of a month, of Martius, corresponding to 15 March on the Gregorian calendar. It was marked by several major religious observances. -
Beware the Ides of March
March 15, 44 B.C.
Julius Caesar is assassinated on the Ides of March by a group of conspirators led by Marcus Brutus. According to the historian Plutarch, a fortune teller had warned Caesar, “beware the Ides of March.” This event was immortalized in Shakespeare’s play Julius Caesar.
The word Ides is from Latin, meaning to divide, and is the 15th day of March, May, July, October, and the 13th day of the other months in the ancient Roman calendar. At one time, the Ides of March marked the new year. -

Good afternoon in beautiful Florida.
Oz had the winds last night our entire
backyard was messed up. We have been out back cleaning and putting things back
together. There was a place here that a huge tree uprooted and smashed a brand new SUV
and the driver was seriously injured. Welcome Spring.I hope the man injured makes it as it was reported he was in serious condition the tree
was so large and heavy it nearly smashed his car in two pieces. Very sad. -
Good day on the Gulf Coast of Florida.
Oodie what a night in OZ.
When I shut down the thread for me for the night there was a heavy smoke in the air
and you could smell fire burning. I switched to the news and they said the air will be
bad today.Well we went outside in the back just to check on things and everything was a big mess.
Hubs and I picked up branches and put table and chairs back together. Oodie even the
grill which weighs a ton was knocked over the wind was that strong. Poppy was enjoying
it all as he ran around as we did the work.Things are back to normal now but I am keep the mask on until the smoke clears.
Hey despite all that I still made sure the cats were fed. I think they sensed something last
night and ate their food and left to take shelter from the smoke. I’ve never seen them do
that before. Oodie I can see the cats while I am in my office on the computer I have a
monitor that we use for security and I can see everything I mean packages being left and most
of all the cats morning, noon and night. Hubs came up with this idea so no matter where I
am in the I can still see everything outdoors. The animals have learned to take turns eating
that is important I always want to make sure all of them eat hence the reason hubs came
up with the idea for an extra monitor to take around the entire house this is powered by
WIFI.Oodie I know you have a lot of irons in the fire let me know how things go for you today.
-
I was really concerned when you hadn’t posted at an earlier time. Reading the news, I hoped you were all right. People last night and early this morning dodged tornadoes when possible. Knowing you are in tornado alley, I hoped and prayed that you and your family as well as neighbors were OK.. Thankfully my prayers were answered.
I am in the process of making something to carry with me for hubby and myself. I started really deep down cleaning in the master bathroom. I have let this go for a long time while redoing the kitchen. I just ordered some things for getting rid of a huge mess by the plumbers. I will be working on that early AM tomorrow. Meanwhile, hubby has asked for a baked potato and I think I will add a few things to it. I will also make one for myself. Actually, I will use sausage and hamburger which I will puree after cooking. I will include it with the potatoes. this later.
Your SIL is probably very nervous for Wednesday. The doctors know from the tests what to expect and I’m sure she knows as well. Hopefully, they will be able to get the Cancer out so she can rest a bit easier. There is always a chance that some will remain behind, but will be removed by meds and other things. So many changes in the treatments in the last 4 or 5 years. You know I will be praying for her on Wednesday and for a fast recovery following. You and your family have been through so much with “C” so you know what to expect and what is next down the line. I don’t have to ask you to keep us posted. I know you will.
-
Good evening and thank you for your kind thoughts. We are all doing the best we can.
I hope you got everything done that you needed.Oodie Oz is snowing as I type this note to you this is so strange we were in the 70’s
two days ago and now we are freezing and snowing. Seriously! My hands were frozen this morning while out with Poppy. We have had rain, cold and
now snow.Oodie enjoy your evening I am going to crawl into bed with hubby and see what’s
on the Telly.Keep my family in your prayers.
-
Oodie, Saw your post on another thread about a Marlo. I’m not posting there but was tempted. The poster sounds so disappointed, and maybe a tad unwell. Hope both are ok.
Hey, whatever works for you is great.
I have been sensitive to HOA’s lately because of my own experiences. As long as you know your rights and push back on any bullying.
As fyi, This was interesting. HOAs and Service Animals:
Under federal law, HOAs are required to make reasonable accommodations for service animals, including emotional support animals (ESAs).
No Pet Restrictions:
HOAs cannot impose “no pet policies” that would exclude service animals.
Documentation:
If the need for a service animal is not immediately apparent, the HOA can request documentation to verify the need, such as a letter from a medical professional.
Limited Inquiry:
The HOA can only ask two questions: “Is the animal a service animal required because of a disability?” and “What work or task has the animal been trained to perform?”.
No Information about Disability:
The HOA cannot ask for details about the person’s disability, nor can they require proof of training or certification. -
Good day in S. California.
I hope you had gentle rain. OZ got hit last night
and we had a mess to clean up in the back yard. This is why I cannot plant just
yet. I saw in some States big tractor trailer turned over. There was a bad accident where a huge tree uprooted and smashed a car with a
male driver inside I mean the car was broken apart the man is in very serious condition.
Many are without power I guess we got lucky and still have power for now. Very chilly
today my hands were cold and my hands never get cold. What in the world is going on
with weather?I am wishing you Happy and Safe Trails today.
-
Sheba, glad you made it through the storm relatively undamaged and the cats were able to feed.
That poor guy who had a tree fall on his car , and with him in it. Hope he recovers soon.
Did your Brother and his wife make it back to Co ok? Hope they are home and safe by now.
You know I won’t ever go to Mexico. Thought about it for Dental Tourism, and met some people who do it, plus some go for Vet care ( Vets fees are outrageous) but it’s still dangerous. -
Good evening my brother and his family touched down in Colorado an hour ago.
I am more scared of the plane landing than the trip they went to Cancun and that
is a beautiful place. Trust when I say they are well secured. My family have been
going there for years.Taci there are some parts of Kansas I don’t feel safe in. I am more concerned with
all these flights having problems. I know your husband is a pilot I wonder what he thinks.
My family all fly in and out of the Denver Airport where you saw the plane burning and the
people were on the wings of the plane that is where my brother and his family just landed.I know it’s always something how I miss the days when you could enjoy life without worry.
Lets take our minds to something else look at our HD.
I have this set in Blue Peacock.
I do love this color way.Taci enjoy the evening I have to prepare for the surgery on SIL on Wednesday. The kids are
who I am really concerned about and the family is stepping up and making time for them.If something happened to my mom at the age the children are I would never be the same.
This happened to my mom she lost her mother at the age of 14 my mother was devastated.
I will leave it at that. Prayers are appreciated.Well the snow is pretty and we are cold the
heat is on. I think Monday will be a better day. -
I read your note and sorry to say we still need a doctor’s note for a service animal. This is because people say their pig, their horse, their cow are service animals. But in reality, not where your house is. Florida does require a certificate of sorts that shows your animal friend has gone through training. This is because too many took advantage of this program when it was first brought on board. We do have a dog area where a dog or cat can live on the premises. However, there are only two streets where they can be walked. Part of this reasoning is that a few didn’t pick up after their pet. Consequently another reason to keep some semblance of order. It took many years for Florida to accept service dogs or cats. Right now, I think Sheba’s idea of a doorbell where you can cee who is at the door may work. I do have a door leading to the lanai from our den and that would work for me. I’m usually at the back of the house where I can watch the birds fly over our lake and beg for food when we are sitting outside. The loons love hotdogs. I have to smile at this one. They do not like the dogs from Aldi’s. They like an all beef one. G uess Sam’s, BJ’s and Costco’s franks are the ones that are tastier. These birds have champagne taste.
Once our home here is in order, I will be going to the ASPCA in our area to see if I can find a pooch that is under 20 lbs.. Cannot wait to start the renovations.

Good day in the beautiful ‘burgh.
Lady just chill and relax today.
This day belongs to you.I would give your mother a call just to make sure all is well and she is eating.
Trees are being uprooted everywhere and many are without power.
Hubs and I had to clean our backyard from fallen branches and debris.
I am not concerned about that I am just glad we have power. Its so chilly my hands are cold and that never happens.
Sending warm hugs to you and Jake.

NATIONAL PI DAY
National Pi Day on March 14th recognizes the mathematical constant π. Also known as pi, the first three and most recognized digits are 3.14. The day is celebrated by pi enthusiasts and pie lovers alike!Pi is the ratio between the circumference of a circle and its diameter. While the idea of pi has been known for nearly 4000 years, accurately calculating it has been something of slightly more recent mathematical development. By 2000 BC, the Egyptians and Babylonians accurately used the constant to build. Mathematicians such as Archimedes, Fibonacci, François Viète, Adriaan van Roomen, and Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz all calculated pi by various methods. However, in 1706, Welsh mathematician William Jones introduced the Greek letter π to represent the ratio of a circle’s circumference; pi.

Skywatchers across the world will soon witness the first total lunar eclipse in three years.
On March 13-14, the full moon will slip into Earth’s shadow, transforming into a deep reddish hue, a phenomenon known as a “blood moon.” The eclipse will last about six hours, with those in North and South America, parts of Europe, Africa, and the Pacific region able to witness the best views. -
-
Good day in beautiful Florida.
Xango I hope you were able to see some of the
Lunar Eclipse.I had a bullseye view here in OZ and it was amazing.
Enjoy the bunnies I am sure they are loving it.
Oz is alright today we do have light rain and very windy.
-
The lunar eclipse this morning was spectacular. I was able to see the entire process.
Between 3:30 and 4:30 AM it was over and the moon was big and bright illuminating the backyard.
The bunny came right up to me today. He grabbed a piece of lettuce and ran back towards the beginning of the woods. And little ones too, so cute.
I am sure you are ready for Spring. Especially after such a harsh Winter.
Soon you will be able to plant and enjoy your garden.Enjoy your weekend Sheba. Have wonderful walks with Poppy.
-
Good evening it was a sight to behold.
I love it when this happens so magical.
Oz smells like fire and we have to be careful and mask up due to the weather causing
a fire.Enjoy your evening and the gentle critters.
The only people out last night were
me and the animals. -
Good afternoon on the Gulf Coast of Florida.
Oodie I am so glad you were able
to get the contractors back yesterday it was worth it. I wonder if you ever thought of
a Ring Doorbell perhaps that can be loud and let you know if someone is there also you
can see on your smart phone and you can record if you have a visitor.Busy day for you I am sure hubs will be happy to see you. I am doing a bit of everything.
We have light rain in OZ but Poppy and I made it out for our walk. The moon was so
mesmerizing during the Lunar Eclipse.I hope some of your husband’s personal items are found. Let me know how things go for
you today. -
A ring doorbell would not work if I was in another room. My doctor’s assistant mentioned it as well as a light going on and off. This is one reason a pooch would help. However, I would need a doctor’s note for this to happen. Our physician refuses to write a note until I find the right animal. It’s a catch 22. Where our home is there is a HOA which requires a doctor’s note for a service animal only. I also will need a service animal to let me know when hubby isn’t well. That will need to be a priority, especially with our home North.
I may need to find a new plumber. The one I used is a 5-star+. However, I had to call the main office yesterday to find out where they were as by 2:30 pm they were a no show. The Assistant who answered apologized. They were here earlier and I guess I didn’t hear the knock. They came and I heard the knock. What they didn’t do was stop the leak, so I had to call today. They were just here and wanted to charge me. I won the argument when I mentioned this should have happened at the first visit. We are in a drought situation here, I do not need added expenses.
I signed the agreement this morning. This business is so good to work with. They will make a blueprint of the new bathroom as well as a 3D picture after I pick out the colors, vanity, cabinet, shower, etc.. The only thing I’ve added thus far are some drawers since hubby will not be able to get to a medicine cabinet. He will need access to a mirror for shaving and combing his hair. I’m LOL because I purchased a mirror from HSN and Marla Wynne which would be perfect.
I’m hoping to see hubby this afternoon. My back is still bad, but there is no excuse. I also need water and hope I can lift the case at Aldi’s. I will not make it to Costco today.
-
Good evening sorry the ring will not work for you. I do like the idea a pooch.
Taci gave you some sage advice I would read over what she wrote.I hope you can get a pooch as that would be wonderful for both you and hubby.
Oz smells like fire is burning and it is so it is what it is.
Beautiful day otherwise with light rain. I have to close the windows tonight.
I hope you had a good day I am jumping into the shower and going to bed if I don’t try
to see the moon out of my bedroom window. -
Oodie, excited for you getting your home ready for your hubby. Just an fyi, watch out for HOA’s. They are often run by your fellow neighbors who have no idea about the actual laws. For example, Federal law: “While HOAs can request documentation to verify a need for a service animal, they cannot require a doctor’s note or any specific type of documentation, and they cannot ask about the nature or extent of a person’s disability. ” FL may have other more specific laws you can Google.
We have an HOA and had a major issue with them sending us notices for our plug for the electric vehicle. It’s partially hidden and not an eyesore. In CA, it is against the law for an HOA to tell us to take it down. The law exists for this exact reason. HOA’s overreach. Once we let them know then they backed down. I could write more but will hold off. Good luck! -
Good morning in S. California.
I hope you got some gentle rain.
HD has new things coming in it does not hurt to look.
The moon was amazing last night not a cloud was in the sky. I am one with
the wind and sky.The moon was so bright before and after.
The fresh air feels so good.
Hey Happy and safe trails to you.
-
Sheba, it’s been lightly raining all day. Hopefully the sun will return by next week. I love the colder weather. We went out to look at the Moon last night and it was bright as can be but we didn’t see any red moon. I’m going to check again tonight.
Don’t you know? I always look…. but don’t want to accumulate too much. I do buy an occasional piece though.
How is your SIL doing?
Hope Spring finds Oz soon! -
Good evening Oz is in Spring Mode we have a weather related fire and it can be smelt
all over the State. We have to mask up for the next few days. We did have light rain earlier but things changed
real fast. My brother and his wife are on their way from Cancun, Mexico and their flight is
heading straight to Colorado. I saw the plane wing on fire at their Airport. I hope they land
safely tomorrow.SIL is having cancer surgery Wednesday we are all praying. I will keep all up to date.
Wishing you a nice evening.
-
Good afternoon in the ‘burgh.
I know you are tired my friend.
The moon was so beautiful last night night. I did have to wake up and catch
it I have seen this before and never get tired of watching the universe in all
it’s glory.I hope this is a good Mom Friday for both you and your mother.
Sending peaceful restful vibes to you and Jake.
-
Thanks for the lovely bouquets, a nice sign of Spring.
Took mom to the church fish fry for dinner. Even they are getting expensive. I feel bad because the church keeps any profits and I have a feeling not as many people will be attending. Oh well, not my problem.
We were close to 80 today.
Hubs was already at the driving range.
Our temps are so mixed up and I hope its not 40 in July.
Taking it easy over the weekend. Enjoy your walks, hugs and love back to you and Poppy.
-
Good evening OZ is under a wind warning and fire can be smelled all over the place.
I have fans on as there is some type of wildfire.I hope I can see the moon but the air is not good we were told to wear masks tonight
and tomorrow.Welcome Spring.
I hope your husband had a great time on the Golf Course.
Lady SIL will have surgery this coming Wednesday.
Glad you and mom had a Fish Fry and everything is going up. Sheesh!
Relax now and hopefully your weekend is a peaceful one.

from you.I know you are going over plans for the new renovations and I am wishing you all the luck
in the world. I know your husband cannot wait to get home.I don’t like people stealing his personal things good grief!
Oodie take your time today the weather is just perfect at these temps.

The plumbers finally arrived. They were due here between noon and 2 pm. At 2:30 I made a call to the main office. They were a no show. They claim they were here and knocked on the door and there was no answer. Hmm… Seems they forgot one thing. A phone call to say they were on their way. And to think I got up extra early to do a load of laundry, do the dishes left in the sink, made room to walk around, etc. etc.. Long story short. The disposal is now in working order and I can finally use the new dishwasher. The drip in the guest bathroom needs a whole new system. Guess it’s time to do the reno in that area instead of the master. The master bath is a total mess. I took the closet apart, towels and all else and sprayed and cleaned with “Clean Boss.” I will do it one more time before putting everything back. All towels are in the laundry room all set to go for tomorrow(oops, today). My lower back went after all was said and done. I had to contact the rehab to say I would not be there to visit. Had trouble getting out of the chair to take meds. I’m Ok for now. Just a bit wobbly. Hope to see hubby this afternoon. Will be stopping at Costco and then to Culver’s for their custard and fudge for hubs. I will now return to bed and call it a day.

Good morning in S. California.
This is National Jewel Day which is everyday for me.
Taci you mentioned the Heidi Daus Feng Shui Marquise and Pavé Crystal Ring the other
day and I had to take a look at my stash.Taci I own those rings below in six colors along with the earrings and necklaces.
Do you remember @tamrick she brought the ring first and raved about it. I was able
to grabbed them while they were on sale. I love every single one.885-446
Heidi Daus Feng Shui Marquise and Pavé Crystal RingHappy Trails to you.

Sheba, That style and the color ways are very pretty. It seems she releases seasonal colors for them. I have been so tempted. Sale price would be great. I’m sure you love wearing them!
Speaking of which, people on another thread post about getting 15% off coupons all the time. What? Not me but I’m not signed up for texts. Maybe I will need to do so.
I received the Nakery serum infused soaps today, bought two (they are on sale at $12.95 and the packaging is lovely if you need a gift for anyone. Also received the TS from Doll 10 (the bounce skin transforming 4 piece) which was packaged beautifully, and I can’t wait to use it.
It hailed hard here for maybe 5-10 minutes then the sun came out. We expect rain all day tomorrow as well. -
Good day in the ‘burgh wishing you a nice day with your mother.
Lady try not to do too much.
I know you are super busy sending warm hugs to you and Jake.
-
I got a good laugh when I read your post.
“Try not to do too much” – I haven’t stopped running all week. Tuesday I was at mom’s. Yesterday all I did was move/rearrange furniture between my house and mom’s. I was dead tired.
This morning I was at the hospital at 7:00 for blood work and a doctor’s appointment. Went grocery shopping after that, tomorrow all day at mom’s running her around. I am taking the weekend off, call someone else if there’s an emergency!
Thank goodness the weather has been beautiful, lots of rain coming in for the weekend.
I will never make it up for the eclipse so if you are, I hope you enjoy it.
Sending lunar hugs to you and Poppy.
-
Good evening I am so sorry for your long week. I know how you feel.
I will let you know if I make it up for the moon and if not I have until tomorrow.I have seen this before and it is amazing just beautiful.
Kick back and enjoy this drink.
Lady I am a mama girl I was always the favorite and I
love doing things for my mother.I know you have a lot of iron in the fire so I understand
you being tired. I sure hope you can get some rest this weekend.Take it easy my friend Love Ya.

Mark your calendars, skygazers! The night of March 13-14th is going to be special.
For one special night, the Moon will transform into a stunning reddish-orange during a total lunar eclipse! This will be the only total lunar eclipse of 2025 visible from the U.S., so mark your calendars—you won’t want to miss it!
The total lunar eclipse occurs on March 14 (Pi day) at 1:09 AM EDT, but in some time zones, the partial phase will begin on the night of March 13.
On the same night, the Gamma-Normid meteor shower will reach its peak activity. It’s a weak meteor shower that can produce up to 6 shooting stars per hour. The best views of the southern hemisphere. Find the constellation Norma and focus your gaze away from the Moon for the best viewing experience.Wishing you clear skies and an unforgettable cosmic experience
-
Set your alarms to see a total lunar eclipse this Thursday night/Friday morning!
Watch as the full Moon passes through Earth’s shadow, then turns a spectacular red-orange hue during totality. During a lunar eclipse, the Sun, Earth, and Moon are aligned like this:
Eclipse timeline (in central time):
10:57 pm, March 13: Eclipse begins. The full Moon will begin to diminish in brightness as it enters Earth’s outer shadow, called the penumbra.
12:09 am, March 14: The Moon, full but dim, enters Earth’s inner shadow, called the umbra.
1:26 am: Totality begins! The Moon appears red as it is now fully inside Earth’s umbra.
1:58 am: Maximum eclipse (if you only get up once to see the eclipse, this is the best time!): The deep red Moon is near the center of Earth’s shadow.
2:31 am: Totality ends: The Moon begins to exit Earth’s umbra.
3:47 am: The Moon is now fully outside of the umbra but still in the penumbra. The red color has faded.
5:00 am: Is anyone still watching? The eclipse ends as the full Moon exits Earth’s shadow and returns to its normal brightness.
Enjoy the eclipse!

Peace Out Peeps enjoy your evening.

The Rose
Song by Bette MidlerSome say love, it is a river
That drowns the tender reed
Some say love, it is a razor
That leaves your soul to bleed
Some say love, it is a hunger
An endless aching need
I say love, it is a flower
And you, its only seed
It’s the heart afraid of breaking
That never learns to dance
It’s the dream afraid of waking
That never takes the chance
It’s the one who won’t be taking
Who cannot seem to give
And the soul, afraid of dying
That never learns to live
When the night has been too lonely
And the road has been too long
And you think that love is only
For the lucky and the strong
Just remember in the winter
Far beneath the bitter snows
Lies the seed that with the sun’s love
In the spring becomes the rose -
Wind Beneath My Wings
Song by Bette MidlerOh, oh, oh, oh, oh
It must have been cold there in my shadow
To never have sunlight on your face
You were content to let me shine, that’s your way
You always walked a step behind
So I was the one with all the glory
While you were the one with all the strength
A beautiful face without a name for so long
A beautiful smile to hide the pain
Did you ever know that you’re my hero
And everything I would like to be?
I can fly higher than an eagle
For you are the wind beneath my wings
It might have appeared to go unnoticed
But I’ve got it all here in my heart
I want you to know I know the truth, of course I know it
I would be nothing without you
Did you ever know that you’re my hero?
You’re everything I wish I could be
I could fly higher than an eagle
For you are the wind beneath my wings
Did I ever tell you you’re my hero?
You’re everything, everything I wish I could be
Oh, and I, I could fly higher than an eagle
For you are the wind beneath my wings
‘Cause you are the wind beneath my wings
Oh, the wind beneath my wings
You, you, you, you are the wind beneath my wings
Fly, fly, fly away, you let me fly so high
Oh, you, you, you, the wind beneath my wings
Oh, you, you, you, the wind beneath my wings
Fly, fly, fly high against the sky
So high I almost touch the sky
Thank you, thank you
Thank God for you, the wind beneath my wings
