Home now. No leaks. Sent a note to the roofers to let them know. Thumbs up. No problem driving home. All roads were opened. Hubby was napping in his wheelchair when I left. He ate a good lunch. As I was going to my car, saw the aide we liked. He introduced me to his wife who does hair. I may give her a try. Funny thing, she is on the same street as the one I use, except further down. It will be nice to give someone else a try when the time comes.

I am heading back to t he rehab. I want to be there in time for dinner.

We are already getting some mild remnants from the hurricane, light drizzle and some brisk wind gusts. Leaves have started falling off trees.🍁🍂 SIL in Georgia said she was up almost all night with the rain and wind. Heard from her very early this morning so that’s the last I know. Glad your kids made it through all right.😌

Didn’t go to mom’s, just felt like hunkering down at home. Having some leftovers today, going out to dinner with some friends tomorrow.

I stayed at the Quality Inn which was about 3 miles to hubby. . I am with him as I type. The Quality Inns don’t always have the best accomodations, however, this one was the exception to that rule.
My room overlooked the l pool and the river. The room huge. TV worked. The shower awesome. Best ever. Before arriving I made a brief stop at Costco for food and gas. Gas was 2.85/gal.. Bought a chicken and rolls. The motel was just down the road. Enjoyed the time away.

The water was shut down yesterday the city. This was to enable the storm drains and the sewers to work effectively. The main water line near our home was worked on by my plumber and within a few hours the line was repaired. Rotor Rooter took five days. Our HOA could not believe it. The roads leading to our home are flooded. There is a crew working on that now. I will receive an email when I can return.. I do not live near the ocean, This is a drainage issue. I should be able to drive home in an hour or two. I will stay long enough to put the food away, then return to the rehab.

I was concerned for your family. I am happy that they were ok.. Many lost their lives. There are many shelters that do not accept pets as well as hotels/ motels. I think that out of six shelters, only one accepted either cat or dog as long as they were at a certain weight. Being an animal lover, I hated to see this. Dogs and cats are family members. Still do not understand why this should be a. Problem during an event such as this one. It will be interesting to see how the roof faired.

Hope you have a great day. Take advantage of the coo!er temps. We are in the 90s with 90 % humidity. It is equivalent to 100++.We are expecting more rain for today thru Sunday.

I know the water main break is still out. Please be careful going into your house.

How did the Hotel Stay go for you? I know you are anxious to see your husband. 💕

All is well in Ga with my family so that is one less thing I have to worry about.
