Hi and good afternoon. I’m in the midst of having brunch. and then will shower and dress to see hubby. Hubby is still in the hospital and I expect he will be released either tonight or sometime tomorrow. Our favorite aide is off today but will be in tomorrow and Tuesday. I have sent a thank you to the staff on his floor which should arrive either Tuesday or Wednesday.

I also wish he was returning home. But there is no way as yet. I still need a ramp for the wheelchair and also access to the bathroom with the wheelchair. The bathroom needs to be updated for a handicapped person and the walk-in shower will need to be in place. I have been looking for a construction firm to take on the task. I also need to order a hospital bed that is a twin for him. The social worker at the rehab will help with that and to see what our insurance would cover. The hospital bed is costly and the mattress is separate. Because of the hospital bed and even though our master is large enough to accommodate a twin and a queen bed, I am looking at purchasing a twin for myself. Though I really love our metal queen, it will be easier to have two twins and smaller bedside tables. I finally found a platform twin which I will order when the time comes. The painting of walls and woodwork along with new flooring can be completed when he is home. There is tons of work to be done due to the impact of hundreds of rodents. At least the house is clean and h as been disinfected thoroughly, though I will be doing it again before he is home. I have to admit that he is looking forward to getting his hands dirty. There is so much he can do while in a wheelchair. or a cart. Even washing a floor and trimming the bushes will be helpful. Not sure yet about pulling weeds since he has problems with his hands. I will be trying exercise balls to see if that will help. Probably it’s either arthritis or dehydration.

So the kitties come up to the porch looking for food. So cute. Pretty soon they will learn how to ring a bell. If they do make it up to the porch, it’s just a matter of time before you will be able to scratch their ears and maybe their back. All you need is one and the others will follow.
If you have an outdoor plug, you may want to try leaving food on a Salton tray if you have one
You can put it on low and put the four or five bowls on top. You can also leave a quilt on your porch for them to snuggle in. Seems that the four get along. You never know. Meanwhile I am enjoying your cat and kitten pictures. The one holding the cell was hilarious. .
