Conversation – 18
Hello Peeps time for a new Conversation Thread. This is
number 18 out of the series. I created and started this thread 9 years ago.
I will change it often from now on. This is just a knock around
thread about things in life. My life and others. I am an avid Heidi
Daus Collector, former singer, model and so on. I do this thread because
I enjoy what I do. I love fashion and music and HSN is a little of both.
I cover a lot of music and fashion on this thread. ✨😎
I am going to wish Happy Holidays to all the Peeps out there and please
stay safe.

@oodiebom 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Hi, you are a very busy lady 😊. Thank you for your post.
So glad your husband has an urologist appointment in about a week.Oodiebom, I was thinking (sometimes it’s not a good thing, me thinking😂😂) that since your hubby does not want to eat much. And doesn’t eat the facility’s food, is weak and losing weight. Perhaps making him soups, different kinds of soups. And perhaps little sandwiches. Like a grilled cheese and tomatoes small pieces he can dip into the soup, and other small dipping sandwiches too. You can take the soups in a wide mouth thermos. Start with soup to get his stomach accepting food, start with something mild, not strong kind of soup. Should you decide to do that, get two thermoses, one to leave with him so he can have the soup when he wants, even at night. The other thermos for you to take him, another kind of soup and sandwiche the next visit, and so on.
Pretty soon your home will be all fixed up and your hubby with you at home. As you said before, he needs to get strong.
Say hello to your hubby for me, let him know prayers are being said for him to recuperate and come home.
Take care Oodiebom 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹 -
The Dangling Conversation
Song by Simon & GarfunkelIt’s a still life watercolor
Of a now-late afternoon
As the sun shines through the curtain lace
And shadows wash the room
And we sit and drink our coffee
Couched in our indifference, like shells upon the shore
You can hear the ocean roar
In the dangling conversation
And the superficial sighs
The borders of our lives
And you read your Emily Dickinson
And I my Robert Frost
And we note our place with book markers
That measure what we’ve lost
Like a poem poorly written
We are verses out of rhythm
Couplets out of rhyme
In syncopated time (in syncopated time)
And the dangling conversation
And the superficial sighs
Are the borders of our lives
Yes, we speak of things that matter
With words that must be said
“Can analysis be worthwhile?”
“Is the theater really dead?”
And how the room is softly faded
And I only kiss your shadow, I cannot feel your hand
You’re a stranger now unto me
Lost in the dangling conversation
And the superficial sighs
In the borders of our lives -
I Am a Rock
Song by Simon & GarfunkelA winter’s day
In a deep and dark December
I am alone
Gazing from my window to the streets below
On a freshly fallen silent shroud of snow
I am a rock I am an island
I’ve built walls
A fortress deep and mighty
That none may penetrate
I have no need of friendship, friendship causes pains
It’s laughter and it’s loving I disdain
I am a rock I am an island
Don’t talk of love
Well I’ve heard the word before
It’s sleeping in my memory
I won’t disturb the slumber of feelings that have died
If I never loved I never would have cried
I am a rock I am an island
I have my books
And my poetry to protect me
I am shielded in my armor
Hiding in my room safe within my womb
I touch no one and no one touches me
I am a rock I am an island
And a rock feels no pain
And an island never cries -

The Sound of Silence
Song by Simon & GarfunkelHello darkness, my old friend
I’ve come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence
In restless dreams I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone
‘Neath the halo of a street lamp
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
That split the night
And touched the sound of silence
And in the naked light I saw
Ten thousand people, maybe more
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never share
No one dared
Disturb the sound of silence
“Fools” said I, “You do not know
Silence like a cancer grows
Hear my words that I might teach you
Take my arms that I might reach you”
But my words like silent raindrops fell
And echoed in the wells of silence
And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming
And the sign said, “The words of the prophets
Are written on the subway walls
And tenement halls
And whispered in the sounds of silence” -
Good evening the rain is over and what a soaking we got a lot of people lost power due
to transformers being knocked out. Let me tell ya it was a wild day in OZ.Poppy and I were safe in the house I went to a safe place just for peace of mind.
Hubby was fine at work and make it home safe. ✨I enjoyed the Masters this year.
I am hoping your team wins tomorrow. Have a good evening. ✨ I wanted to tell you sooner I have seen the bunnies
they are back and they play in the moonlight I watched them all the time. Soon two will be in the backyard and I can
feed them baby carrots. ✨ -
What a day I have never heard thunder and hail like we had today. Well this is OZ and we
have been known to have wild weather. ✨😎All is calm now Poppy and I even went out this evening with my husband.
Tomorrow will be all sunny. 💕I did like the rain good for the yards and flowers.
