Happy Easter. Hope you had time to put your feet up and then some.

I did write a short note yesterday, but like others, it went poofed. I was thanking you for the nice note/post that warmed my heart in so many ways. Hubby does well when he eats. Has more energy and his voice is above a whisper. He has an urologist appointment on the 17th. Hopefully, the doctor will spend some time with me explaining what I should be doing to help him over any problems. The doctors here, or at least where we are, seem to be OK, but the expertise I am looking for is North. I feel that the catheter is not permanent, but the physicians here may keep it that way. He wants so desperately to go to the bathroom on his own. It’s so heart wrenching at times. There are times that I think he will do better at home and other times I question if it would be feasible. He is not eating the food at the Rehab and I cannot blame him. I expected, that today, being Easter, there would be ham or lamb on the menu with a salad and potato. What he received was a styrofoam take out with a cover that held stringed beans (it smelled horrid) and noodles with tomato sauce. It was cold to the touch. I did bring a roast beef sandwich which he took a few bites of and put down. The roast beef wasn’t tender. He ate the pineapple that was freshly cut and some ice cream in a hoodsie cup. This is one time I need to get him home and eating good, solid food and walking. even if it’s in the house or to the lanai). I left because it was just too cold in the room with the A/C hitting me everywhere. I drove him with the heater on and I’m the one who used to enjoy the cold weather. The A/C is off in the house. Think I will make a cup of soup. Anyway, I was thinking of you and your hubby. Hope you had some “facetime” with your family in Brazil.
